LONG STORY I remember when We got this game. What a story. In 2001 we just left our Home in Harlem and had to move to a temporary spot in Brooklyn. Before We moved, My brothers and I had already played AKI games like WCW/NWO Revenge, Wrestlemana 2000 and WWF No Mercy ... those were the BEST wrestling games we've seen and played. Things were good, We had top noch games. So imagine moving to another home with no entertainment systems period. No gaming consoles, no VHS,, not even TV .. we had nothing. Within sometime we got a radio then TV/VHS, finally we got our N64 back but our games were gone. We had to start over with our collection. We had some games but no wrestling games. Later down the line We somehow got our hands on WCW vs NWO World Tour. We didn't know what to expect. We never heard of it or never played it We popped it in. It looked familiar with the graphics and animations (at the time we didn't know the game was made by the same company who made No Mercy. We simply thought it was a ripoff) we looked at it and laughed. we thought it was a joke, We called it the poor man's version of No Mercy. I hated World Tour. I felt like We downgraded to nothing. We felt it was too simplistic, Not much content, it was visually ugly compared to other AKI Wrestling Games, We felt it was lacking. The game was a symbol of our Life. As time went on the World Tour became an Ok game to a well liked game to one of the best games I've ever played. I grew to love it's simplicity. The gameplay is great. perfect controls, great things to unlock. Love the roster. music rules. I appreciate the game alot more than ever. Hell even when We got our hands on The later AKI games again, We had a hard time leaving World Tour for those games.
This was my childhood game right here. I had completely mastered the game, and I was only like 5 or 6. Though I always wondered why there was two Stings on the game? One was Sting and the other was “Sting”?
The NWO had a guy that was referred to as "Fake Sting", played by a guy named Jeff Farmer. They used him to play mindgames with Sting and make people think it was him and stuff. So they put both of them in the game
This game should be top ten for innovation alone my dad use to tell me to turn off this game it pave the way for no mercy when this came out the grapple and special weren't to complicated the most innovative wrestling game ever the best wrestling game ever is no mercy but why does the WCW Aki games get cut from the list its crazy
Oh the memories. This was one of those games that made it worth having an N64. :)
👍
best wrestling game ever... the new wwe ones dont come close, man i played this one for so long just an awesome game
My favorite one was no mercy.
TroystonB I don't know man 2k16 version of wcw had me feeling like I was in my pajamas watching wcw on a Saturday morning
Pulling out tables chaors and bats feom the crowd and knocking out wrestlers for a ring out :)
Ah I still remember that character selection music to this day. What a nostralgic melody.

Johnny Smith calm down
@Mario Walker904 trust me .. I appreciate the game ...I lobe the simplicity ... I damn near would choose it over no mercy ...damn near
@Mario Walker904 yeah you right... it was outdated to me and very limited but I failed to realise it was the Genesis of some good shit
This, Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000, and No Mercy are still the best wrestling games.
cerpintaxman Dont forget wwf
war zone.
Wcw vs the world too
@@donteprince2891 war zone, attitude and mayhem were atrocious games
@@Magpie_Mark92 i liked it when it first camebout but it WCW Revenge blew it out of the water. Wrestemania 2000 was just as good or even better.
Such nostalgia. Even the beginning when it mentions the 'Rumble Pack'.... remember plugging that beast in!
The nostalgia this game brings back of my childhood
One of my favorite Pro wrestling games of all time
The best times. Going to my friends hot ass apartment with my brother and tag teaming against him and his brother in the 90s
this is a masterpiece, way ahead of its time
N64 had the best wrestling games, bar none...

Sick game! Proper old school!
Back when wrestling games were hitting their peak
I loved this game.

The key difference between this and WarZone: the controls. WarZone was an awkward chore to play whereas this game simplified them.
Sting vs Sting. Hilarious!
Sting vs. “Sting”
When i was younger i didnt get why there was 2 sting's....untill now @imposter sting/nWo Sting
Memories
