- THE MAYBERRY GARDENS MOTEL BAR -- The gang meets back at the motel bar to have a few drinks and compare their findings in the search for the Demonic Apostle. What starts as a joyful walk down memory lane (sandwich trick, and all!) turns ugly when Scrags takes out his pent up frustration on his friends.
The Solve It Squad Returns! follows the adventures of a group of former kid detectives. After 20 years of growing up and apart, they must return to the scene of their greatest unsolved case: the murder of their trusty dog Cluebert. A send-up to classic cartoons and book series, The Solve It Squad Returns! puts its own dark, twisted spin on these beloved characters.

I just want to say as a type 1 diabetic it meant a lot to hear someone in a show say that my disease was very difficult. Being called a hero made me cry. Thank you Joey for making me feel stronger than I normally do.

@@rdhuskylover when I need to remember that it is ok to have bad days I rewatch this scene. Makes me feel better right away.
I love this scene so freaking much. A+ acting from Brian there at the end. Scrags' whole rant at Gwen was so intense. It reminded me of when Joey played Satan in Judas. I sometimes forget what a great dramatic actor he can be because we're so used to the comedic stuff.
I wish I could've seen Judas.
Adam Fox Judas was so good! And the first time I ever got to meet these guys in person. It was such an experience. I wish more people could've seen it in person
I understand why they couldn't have it filmed, but I still wish they did. I mean I don't know everything about copyright law but, as long as you don't make a profit off of it and you give credit to the people who made it, it should all be cool right?
Adam Fox I wish they could've too, but I don't know that they'd be able to capture the same feeling on video. It was such an intimate feeling setup with the audience around the stage on 3 sides and the actors right there. I honestly remember cringing back in my seat away from Joey's character when he walked close to where I was sitting because it was that intense. Before that I would've never believed I would be purposely leaning away from Joey Richter lol

The single best line in this show is the following. " Do you know how hard it is to live with adult onset diabetes? I mean, it's not as hard as living with type I diabetes, cause those people are heroes." I have type 1, and this is the best thing I've ever heard. Thank you for this.
I have so many reactions to this part!
1. Everyone is so good in their characters. They add so many little gestures and reactions that make the energy in each scene so great.
2. THE SANDWICH TRICK. I listened to Ashley's episode of the Can to Can podcast and now I know why she couldn't stop cracking up at that part. It's so funny! Lauren and Gabe in the background are so lit and Joey is just hamming it up.
3. Scrags' big blowup at Gwen is incredible. Throughout the show, you can see how everybody's idiosyncrasies really annoy Scags and it all leads up to that big angry monologue. Joey does it so well.
4. And then there's Brian at the end bringing back the crazy side characters and keeping the comedy going after that big dramatic moment.

Joey was totally amazing in this scene, really this whole show. I just keep getting blown away each scene, his acting and his depth of character keeps getting better and better at each part. Also Brian's ability to keep all of these accents and costumes and lines right, was incredible. And Lauren's acting also continues to just be completely amazing in this. Everyone is just so good!

spookynanas Gwen has it coming, she spent the entire show using Keith as a pawn and badgering her “friends” for photos
@@aidan.2263 Not to mention calling her own children assholes, her fans entitled (I get that some are, but a lot of people would die to have just a handful of genuine ones that make it possible to eat, have a roof over their heads, and spend all their work hours doing something creative that they love), and immediately said she would divorce her tycoon husband if CAA hired her (that’s Harvey Weinstein’s former company), and she told Scrags- who just spoke to her about his dogs killer, that “he doesn’t understand loss.” She is a class A Asshole, Gwen literally is the worst. I don’t often side with FBI for anything (good thing this is fiction), but damn Scrags hit every single note to perfection on that one. She was being awful the whole show up to this point and needed a massive wake up call. Oh, and she enabled Ether’s negative mental health induced addiction problem and called it “a fun vacation” to snort coke, instead of telling her friend to chill it with the drugs around a cop and maybe get rehab. She partook in it instead of helping! At least Scrags originally tried to warn her not to get herself killed with too many drugs in her system- and the cop didn’t immediately bust her and hold her in a hail cell and force her to remotely work on the investigation in exchange for bargaining down her prison time, instead, he treated her like part of the team and a friend. Gwen’s practically a narcissist in this- I’m happy someone told her off, honestly Scrags was nicer than I would have been about it. Scrags might not be completely self-aware yet at this point in the show of how much he truly needs to heal still, but, at least his heart and intentions are in the right place. Can’t say that for Gwen.

Esther broke through the drugs for about a second to be affectionate
Ashley channeling Mama Bennett. A+

MVP goes to Brian in this one, what a performance. Honourable mention goes to the surprise cameo of Mrs Bennett. Loving this guys, keep up the awesome work!
Ashley is such a great actress that I don't typically associate each performance of hers with past characters, they all stay pretty distinct in my head. But when she broke out that southern accent I was whisked back to some LBD costume theater and got REAL sentimental REAL fast.

Foreshadowing is a dramatic device in which an important plot point is mentioned early in the story to return later in a more significant way
in the show i saw brians hat fell off during his scene w all the characters and he had to pick it up and hold it for the rest of the scene bc it wouldnt get back on his head..... god it was so funny.

As a type 1 diabetic, what Joey said mean't the world to me. I've never really heard a character ever mention type 1 before. People usually just make jokes and assume theirs only type 2. Thank you so much for that and thank you for saying we are heroes. It's really difficult sometimes and that made me feel stronger than I've been feeling recently.
So I still can't tell if it's just comedy that Brian is playing so many people or is it that Brian is playing a crazy person who has all these split personalities😂
Yeah, it's a little hard to tell. Though if he is playing someone with split personalities I think that's something Esther would have picked up on already.

- The Sandwich Trick is the most epic thing I've seen in a while.
- Scrags's monologue, man... Joey is such a good actor, comedic or dramatic.
- The "most epic thing" was immediately beaten by Brosenthal's one-man scene. Someone get this man a Tony, he is fucking brilliant.
As someone with Type 1 Diabetes, I cannot tell you how amazed and happy I was to hear Scrags line about Type 1 and that he even acknowledged that there are 2 types! Thank you to whoever wrote that line! You are helping to break misconceptions!
P.S. I’m watching this in November, which is Diabetes Awareness Month. I want to make sure every T1D knows that you are hero’s!

This is so much better quality then the digital ticket, its awesome to be able to see there facial expressions better, especially Lauren and Joey's during the group argument. Also dang Brian that was some fabulous acting
Damn TCB keeps hitting us with these BRILLIANT shows that balance both comedy and drama PERFECTLY. They have weight and stakes and they make you invested, but they're also HILARIOUS and so lovely and I love all their work.
The last scene was gold!!!! hahahaha loved it!
