- We took our new aluminum catamaran for a legit sea trial in 20+ knot winds. Four adults and a young’n aboard. Light load with about 100 gallons of fuel. Twin Suzuki DF300s. Never once slapped or pounded. We ran 56 miles and the only other boat out was a ferry.

That was a smooth and stable ride for a 30 footer in that sea condition, cameras will not show the wave height, it looks 4 feet short pitch, correct me if I'm wrong, the pilothouse is a great protection against weather, enjoy it and congratulations, I wish the video was longer...
We ran head into the solid 2-3’ers. Maybe a few a bit steeper. I herniated L5 and then L4 several years ago and I was plenty comfortable sitting on the Shockwave seat base. So far, we are very happy. :)
I would definitely love to see you all fishing
We should have some video coming after this weekend. We will be chasing albacore Friday and Saturday :).
I need more videos of your boat running
All the running videos I have are already uploaded :(. Hopefully, we will have some friends running their boats with us soon and we can get some more video from them.
@@wdlfbio one day I’ll find one used that I can afford lol
These types of waves are fun to run on top of but sadly in Florida we never seem to get then this close they are always to far apart to get on top of
You have never been in Tampa bay I take it :)
@@georgepapabeis2964 yep east coast
Whats the weight of the boat and Wide open thottle speed?
The boat, fueled up, is a tad over 12k#. WOT, freshwater, calm day, 5 adults and 2 kids, ticked 47 mph. In the ocean with 6 adults, 600# ice, loaded for tuna, WOT is 44-45 mph. I usually ran her in the 30 mph range and saw 1.2-1.3 mpg with a tuna load, 1.5 mpg light. WOT tuna load days would drop to just below 1mpg.
Wish I had the money
I hear you. I wish they cost what they did 2 years ago…
