Jago is a shoto character which means he has answer to almost any situation. Not to mention his instinct can heals. Healing in fighting game = massive advantage and comeback potential.

There is no standard for controllers. They just go with what they feel comfortable with. When watching pools we even see people toting around keyboards its awesome
Which controller you use is entirely preference. As to why Killer Instinct in particular has such a large population of pad players, I would bet it has to do with the game's console exclusivity (no need to adjust your muscle memory for a Dualshock 4, and the d-pad on the Xbone controller isn't complete ass like the 360), and the fact that special input motions are relatively simple (no half-circle, charge, or 360 motions). There's probably more to it than that, but that's my best guess.
Arcade stick is a lot easier to use with this game. How the combos, and special movies are set up and how fast you need to do things it is just easier :)

This was awesome! Was cheering for all of them. The main three I wanted to win was Sleep, Thompxson, and Pink. Mainly Sleep. The way he handled that last battle was poorly. He let Thompxson get inside his head looking for counter breaker each time. If he had not made that mistake could have won CEO KI. Maybe at EVO we may see him bringing back his Kan-Ra 😉
+Zach... On certain characters like hisako! She needs improvement, especially her teleport. Its easily punishable! But when you see fulgore, it's dangerous! She also needs cheap juggles line Maya and Jago!

Can't disagree more. Every player in top 8 used a different character, and some of those characters are widely perceived to be low tier (Aganos, Riptor, Maya). I'm not sure how much more balanced you can get. And it's especially impressive since each character plays so fundamentally differently.
