What a scintillating performance and interpretation of this quirky but powerful symphony! The greatest I have ever heard by a modern orchestra. I had high expectations as I've heard Slobodeniouk's version with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. But this is even better. This has become such a great orchestra too; surely now ranking among the best in the world. It is a joy to watch the leader of the orchestra clearly setting an example to them and keeping an eye on everything. This symphony is difficult to get right. I've heard some really chaotic performances, even by a Danish orchestra! But this performance is perfect in every way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Qute right. This is a very well played and exciting performance of one of the all-time masterpieces of the symphonic repertoire. It ought to be available as a commercial recording, but how good it is to have it available here on UA-cam.

Carl Nielsen es uno de los compositores màs prominentes de su paìs, Dinamarca, donde viviò entre la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y primera del XX. Es realmente conmovedor escuchar esta sinfonia con un contraste de matices, que va desde lo melancòlico y melòdicos, hasta lo dramàtico, con grandes orquestaciones. Instrumentos de cuerdas, viento y percusiòn en una amalgama de sonidos bien obtenidos gracias a las maestrìa de sus ejecutantes, bajo la solvente batuta de su director.
