Agreed. This looks like it's still in alpha. I know it's a mobile game, but I think Abigail's right. They could've had much more to work with if they did PC instead. It's still hard to find many good horse games out there, so they wouldn't have to compete too much.

The controls really take time to get used to and as someone who had to learn it all by myself I acctually think a rushed turtorial is better than none. Although I did expect more from this game, but who knows, maybe when the breeding will come I'll change my opinion, for now I find it a bit boring and repetitive.

If you have an android and aren’t opposed to apks, you can download it early. There’s accounts so I assume it won’t affect your progress when it actually releases.
I’ve been a part of the beta testing for about 6 months and I love it. When you have time you should definitely look into the stats of the horses and the temperament. Unlike other games they’re not just numbers, they actually effect how each individual horse behaves when you ride them. I’m pretty sure they are working on being able to “play” the training but I’m not entirely sure. Either way you can train your horse out on the trail for most of the stats. Also this game works best for devices with more than 2GB of RAM. My phone only has 2 and I’m unable to go on trail rides.

I believe the reasoning for them doing a mobile game, is- almost every mobile horse game has bad graphics, bad controls, and unrealistic caring/mechanics. This seems the best so far.
I'm gonna be honest and say rival stars is far better, and it's not even focused on the jumping/free ride aspect
@@smellsbad2742 well rival has a bigger team, more funding, and has been around longer so ofc they're gonna be better at the start. I believe etg will become better if given the time

But I can't seem to find anything about PikPok and their teams, budget, or how long the game was in development but you are likely right since they were founded in '97. I agree ETG can, and will, be better in the future, but I think this wasn't the best stage of progress for them to have launched in. Now, especially that global release is about 1.5 months away
@@smellsbad2742 yeah, etg has been around for about 4-5 years. It's had MANY changes in both graphics and gameplay which is why I believe it's so bad rn. They're old models look NOTHING compared to what they are now
I been following the company on Instagram since they started create this game and the reason why they did this game on mobile because they said there wasn't much horse game like this on mobile that's why they did it on mobile besides that I love your videos ❤️

I have to admit as a seasoned player of ETG who has GP level horses and fully upgraded everything (lmao I'm American but I just dl the APKs for it because weird countrylocked soft launches are gross) that some of the complaints I'm seeing here are just a lack of playing the game further; horses ingame really do have their own personalities and quirks, and while currently not all rein/leg commands are available as jumping is the testing focus, you can already perform and train quite a bit of dressage movements. Horses also visibly improve over time in almost every way, which I've never seen in a horse game and think looks fantastic.
I do think the microtransactions, especially for a game in early access, are awful, and that once you're at max level it's hard to find anything new to do other than trail rides and photography. I also think training horses is far too time consuming and repetitive, as you can either send them to a training facility that takes ages to do barely anything, or you can choose the "faster" approach which demands you repeatedly grind the same super basic movement tasks for hours in order to level your horse. I hope more intuitive and interesting ways to train are added, especially since we have features like fear that make it really fun to train responsiveness/trust in rider by taking the horses by their fears, and that feels much more natural and enjoyable.
I think this game is currently lacking a lot of depth, but imo it's leagues ahead of any other mobile horse game, and once we get dressage there should be a good amount more to do. I think one of the largest issues with player boredom is that as a horse game focused more on realistic riding and simulation, Equestrian isn't going to have fantasy quests or crazy unrealistic things to do with your horse, and I think a lot of players don't realize that a game where all you do is horse related tasks and avtivities isn't going to have much variety. Maybe a basic plotline could help, but I think a lot of boredom comes down to the player expecting something like SSO and then getting a riding simulator instead. That's not to say things shouldn't be improved, but I'm not sure how much improvement we will see when, as a real life equestrian too, horses are pretty repetitive in terms of riding.
I do hope we get stuff like groundwork, ways to further bond with horses, ways to care for them, and more horse personalities. And more places to ride, plus a first person camera.
For any newcomers worried about being bored with the game, I'd highly recommend creating your first horse with negative traits and super high energy. It makes the horse feel more opinionated and less like a pixel horse, and while your jumping will be a little more difficult, jumping becomes super easy after a bit and you'll be thankful to have a horse who adds an extra challenge! I've got horses who will buck while cantering after jumps out of excitement and I've never seen that in other games; it makes it so much more fun and reveals so many details you might miss if you try to just make a horse with no issues.
Haha, I WANT a basic riding/training/horse care type game, I don't want sparkly ponies and magical quests, thanks just the same...

Can I ask what traits your horse has that makes it buck? None of mine have ever done that but I’d really like to have a horse that does, it’ll make it more interesting & entertaining for me when training. :)
I'd like to add to this since it's been a bit. It has become a much better example for a realistic horse game. However, apon global release we could no longer pick our first horses personality and even the trailer got nerfed potential wise. It is a decent game, especially when comparing to other things out there. I get that it's a small staff but if you really look at it you can see it's headed in the same direction as sso; more money. I'm just hoping it stays around long enough to grow into the game it could be.

I think they put more work into the horses than the characters, but the characters are kinda a big part of the game so I think they should’ve put abit more effort into the characters

New Zealand was the first country to have access, I'd definitely say the controls at first are pretty hard to get the hang of, but I've been playing for quite awhile and I really enjoy it
I was there when equestrian was in VERY early development I was there. it’s so nice to see how far it’s gone (too bad it’s not in the us yet c r y)
The first thing I did, after completing the first tutorial after you move in, was go into the free riding mode to practice and figure things out in my own time. I think the tutorial should've taken place there with some helpful tips popping up that don't pause the gameplay. They also don't mention how to go into the collected gait. It could be difficult to figure out for some.
Also, the jump metre pops up way inconsistently time-wise. It comes up more consistently on my iPad as opposed to my phone. Phone is pretty laggy too.
It definitely feels like the game is a work in progress.

I've actually played this game and it's rather fun the controls are a bit confusing and hard to get used to but it's definitely an amazing game and definitely has a lot of potential my horse was a warmblood something I forgot and it's cremello idk how to spell with two giant white socks in the back and a few lil ones in front she also has a badger face and blue eyes :D

Hello! Just some tips for ETG, you can get it on PC later on as they are working on it, you can do dressage moves/ collected moves. I’m my opinions I don’t think it’s the best because there is no gallop!

I played this game since the first launch and it changed a lot since then! Like even the tutorial and how you start really changed.
I went on and off the game since then, cause they’re not much to do after you upgrade all your estate and have Grand Prix horses.
But I like discovering the new courses that come with each pass and the items😊
I think it’s good you’ll take a bigger look at it after this video cause the customization, the horses with their personalities and the new environments are really fun to explore and, I think, are worthy☺️
I completely agree with your comments on the graphics and the light, it needs to be work on but since it’s soft launch, I am just waiting to see how they’re going to upgrade these elements! But I would have like that they focus on that instead of focusing on the micro transactions and market system… even if they also worked a lot on jumps, arena and free roam, I would’ve like them to work more on the horses, the hair, the character, the reins and also the tack that clip sometimes into the horses. But that is the deal with mobile game I guess, micro transactions are part of it, I just hope it will not limit the game like it does with rival star or many many other games on mobile!
I am glad you explained the situation for the live cause I saw a lot of impatience and wasn’t aware that they just gave the stream time and not the release time. So I understand more the impatience now🙂
I am just so glad to have a game with lead change to be honest 😂 before Tales of Ravin, it was the only horse game I played that had a lead change (not counting red dead) and, gosh, playing a horse game that don’t change the lead just upset me 🙃
I am so happy to see horse game evolving towards something more realistic, it just very good news for the horse gaming world in my opinion 😊
So yeah, I think it has a good potential and it’s nice for a mobile game! It needs more stuff to be a game that motivates to play each day. Breeding and dressage is coming so we will see if it makes it more interesting on the long terme! It still needs some work but if they put the effort where it’s needed, I am sure the final product will be very nice 😊

I think they have gone for a mobile game because many people prefer mobile over pc or some people don’t have pcs
I think so too, and I’m glad! I haven’t got a PC, only an iPad, and miss out on the vast majority of games. So there is a market for games like this. I AM hoping they’ll develop the breeding side soon, though!

Honestly i’ve been waiting for this game for over a year and i love it sm and i cant wait for global release but the thing is they are a small team they aren’t like starstable with a huge team and people are complaining about bring it to pc then to mobile i think thats rude because its ment to be a mobile game and alot of the better horse games are on pc like starstable was for a while (now its on mobile) but that took years and other good graphic games like rdr2 and tales of rein ravine and the other new horse game coming they are all on pc not even on other computers or mobile so it is really rude how mostly everyone is saying it should be on pc then to mobile is rude because its ment to be a mobile game as well as they have a small team so you cant expect top quality game as well as the training at least its better than more than half the horse games out there like sso its just racing which is boring and rival stars you have to wait a while ect. So etg has made it so you can do it manually which i thought was really well done and was a fantastic add and then the riding hall too. Ofc they’ll also have bugs in the game aswell but they try to fix it as much as possible and honestly in my opinion etg is better than sso, rival stars and so on but ofc tales of rein ravine is a really well done game to but currently it is boring in a way and the other new horse game coming out (1. It’ll cost money and 2. Its coming out at the end of the year.) ( i forgot the new hirse game coming out called) but etg has really done a good job and some of you just expect way to good of a game to come out and people like me really love the game and think they have done a great job on it

I felt the same and gave up after a couple of minutes. I just couldn't see the fun in that odd steering.
I really like the game! However it's so realistic that it's kinda annoying sometimes 😭 like some of my horses sometimes refuse to do any gait collected 😭
But I love it still! It's very realistic but I hope that there will be dressage competitions as well and that the "season" was only 1 month so that you get something new every month. Breeding would be good too

Weird story time this is the 3rd horse game I’ve downloaded lol, yesterday I was watching a UA-camr play HorseRidingTales and she brought up star-stables and a bunch of nostalgia slapped me in my face. So I went to go check if it was one mobile and sure enough it was, so I started playing for the first time ever yesterday! And then I was on Tiktok and I saw something called rival stars, so I went to check it out & I’m actually not that big of a fan of racing games cause for one I like to vibe with my horse. But then I was watching Tt’s about the game while it was downloading/is downloading. And it passed the vibe checkk

I really like the game! The only thing that needs improving are the graphics but when you're playing the game you kinda don't really notice the graphics because it's about the game. Atleast, it's what I experience :)

I think the environment needs a bit of rework. In the older version before 2021, the environment looked way more realistic and the colors were way more powerful. Now it's seems that the graphics got "downgraded" :(
And what made me sad as well is that they get rid off of the customizing for chracter treats for the beginner horse. It made the game more special before :/
