Hello friends
Hello😁
Amazing work VRC crew ❤
you guys are lunatics.
Outstanding work, as soon as I get home I'm buying this.
If you guys made a go-kart mod, I would pay $20 for it. Your quality is super high. Each car release feels like a brand new game.
Thank you for keeping AC alive.
yoooooo what a car guys! and also very well done on the sound!
These guys didn’t just raise the bar, they smashed it out the park. The amount of detail is legitimately staggering.
I hope they will release an f3 car with this level as detail so people who arent quite ready for the requirements of an f1 car can still partake in this kind of driving.
Yes, and a proper F4 car..
Rfactor 2 has a gp3 mod that is the closest to irl you can get, i know is pretty old but i think is worth a try
Crazy how a mod offers more customizability than an entire game dedicated to F1. Crazy..
Great point.
It would be nice if the official game utilised the Assetto Corsa engine (or anything moddable really). Then they could just grab these mods and include them in the official game as the "pro" level version.
@@RyanHellyer Please not. This isn't a dig at VRC, but the reason why this all looks out of this world is due to how barebones AC is essentially as a racing sim. We had this level of customizability in rF1 allready, a sim from 2005, where modding teams like CTDP went nuts and offered a complete F1 season pack with car upgrades for each track and each car, for every car of the 2006 season. That's the level we had and if you take a look where we are now with racing sims in general it's a bit sad. That sim had antistall, pitlimiters, radiators, brake ducts, fully customizable racing rules. Nonetheless a great effort by VRC. I love their NA Formula cars.
Also the audience of these games are completely different. This is like dogging on the crew cause the planes aren't flight sim level
@@RyanHellyerHell no EA is so gonna put that behind a big paywall
Makes the role of race engineer seem very very important all of a sudden haha! That level of detail is insane, love it.
Just when I think modders have hit the limit of what is possible in Assetto corsa we get a car like this. Unbelievable detail, the ceiling is the roof for AC 😂
They absolutely nailed the sound of the car it feels so good especially when you downshift and the sound doesnt pitch but the diffuser starts spitting out more its so good.
I think setup will be very important with this car, even corner to corner adjustments.
One thing that I never heard no one talking about is the kick when you engage the first gear, we have cars with mindblowing amount of details BUT this one, is always missing !
I've been waiting for years for that feature.
These virtual racing cars are so realistic it's mind-blowing. Couple years ago I was an avid racer. Still have my Fanatec racing set up on the side there but haven't raced in quite a while. Got more into medieval type open world games like Ghost of Tsushima, God of War Ragnarok etc but I do miss the racing at times, especially after seeing vids like this.
This is completely ludicrous. I thought they had reached peak modding with the 2022 that had porpoising, different 3d models, aero package, but this is something else entirely. This is straight out from iRacing but it costs like 5£. It's the most advanced mod I have ever seen in 1500 hours on AC.
I've said it last year I'll say it again. RSS is great but VRC is simply on another planet. VRC is THE MOST underrated AC mod studio, everything they release is stellar
Sick. All this needs is a 1:1 matching simhub dash (even if $) with all the display modes included.
I was thinking the same thing, I really liked how clean the design was 💯🤌
Great video Mike, I’m constantly amazed by the quality of the work and implementation of the extended features from CSP that VRC are bringing to AC. Imagine being Kunos now and looking at where AC is compared to when they stopped development, the bar for AC2 has been set very high.
Thx for your video. I’m hyped! Did really enjoy the 22 VRC
Thanks for your time to explain the car
Its been said before, but true now more than ever. This game will never die.
I drove it around last night for a bit. I was able to get it started so that was good enough for me lol. Truly amazing design especially in VR, soo many details, really feel like you're sitting in an F1.
While F1 cars allegedly cannot be reproduced well in any of the consumer sims and some changes need to be made to the setup (They all vibrate really badly at typical frequencies from what I've heard), and obviously there's not really enough data as with any other car as usual, this is still quite cool from a physics standpoint. I can't remember if it's this car specifically, but I think it does have throttle maps implemented with lua that are much closer to real ones.
Can't speak for anything else, the tires could be nonsense for all I know, but there's some effort here. Thermals look reasonable though.
By the way, the porpoising was nonsense. It was effectively just a highly sensitive map and didn't behave like actual porpoising.
i do own the rss versions and i was blown away with them but holy these look sick havent even watched the whole vid yet
This is even more detailed and adjustable than the w12/13 on iracing. Incredible!
it's so much fun especially with VR, albert park, hungaroring, suzuka for example. You can push so fast to the corners just with downshifting. Best mod ever!
This is so cutting edge which is so in the right spirit for F1
This is amazing. Definitely the level of detail I’m looking for. Thanks for sharing this, Mike!
Hey Mike! Thanks for stopping by, man. Yeah, the car is something special. Not sure if this is just the flavour of the week, or whether some of the features may become staples of Assetto Corsa moving forward. Either way, VRC deserves praise for their efforts here.
@@SimRacing604yeah, it's kind of an echo of what we see in the flight sim world. For something like DCS, this would be called a "full fidelity module", or a "study-level simulation". For instance, to get the F-14 in the air, you need to know every single switch required to start it up and get it moving (and in the correct sequence!). The MiG-21 will stall and kill its pilot if it doesn't know about the fuel pump that doesn't engage between a window of 1 and -.2G. Hopefully this might become a trend in the sim racing world. ACC was probably the closest we've had to that level of detail, until this arrived! Can't wait to try it.
Bro this car is the best car is the best thing ever in sim racing
Your comment on the MJ was slightly incorrect, you would have been correct changing yourself. "Mega" Joules, Joules well in to the millions lol :)
Great video, thanks for breaking it all down! I'm familiar with the tech on F1 cars but not in a sim, so this was mega helpful
How kunos don't try employ these top modders directly is beyond me...!! Such awesome work!
It’s probably for the best. They would most likely kill any passion and love these guys have.
This car is super fast and a joy to drive for sure but I still find some of the older v8 and v10 from late 70-90’s to be even more fun. They do have however so little margin for error (part of the fun I guess) compared to this 2023 model which seems like it is on a rails - very, very fast rails. Thanks for the video I’ll dig into settings as I’ve just got it few days ago.
Edit: this car takes a long time to master but it's the main car I drive these days. When it bites it bites hard but the satisfaction from the incident free lap is immense. I absolutely love it. If you want similar level of fun but a bit less instances when things can go wild try RB18 from RSS. This stalling can get pretty annoying fast so clutch and neutral are your best friends.
My mind is BLOOOOOWN!
Does VRC provide these ingame Dashboards for steering wheels that have Displays that can be used with simhub🤔 im asking cause im building the Pokornyi Engineering F1-Pro 😁
Bought it.. raced it.. AMAZING!!! best mod ever, no need to change anything except the skins which are free. One thing I don't see on mine is the tires being shiny? I have the 2024 skins installed but my tires still look like the previous model?
I cant even get mine to load in a game! 1.80 preview, CM up to date, ext phys checked off... what is going on?????
F1 are the most crazy cars out there. But the more I play the more I like under categories. Sad to see only one f4 and f3 and so old. I didn t see any f4 with the halobar for example and this is the best cars to have greatest battle.
More power means bigger gaps.
Still a big thanks to all moders for so much crazy details
Not sure how much I’ll race it but it’s worth $5 for the effort alone.
How is the tire life? On the Alpha 22 it was always too short
It lasts longer, i think. Needs more testing (I tried it btw)
Hey Mike, I am at a loss for how to map the ignition and starter in content manager? Any tips on how you did it? Cheers.
Hi! I believe the keys are “Alternate E” and “Alternate F”. You can find them in Content Manager. Feel free to email me if you’re stuck
Your the best buddy. Works like a charm. I am really starting to love the depth of this car.@@SimRacing604
I cant bind the ignition button
why is my car topping out at 250kph only at strat 4?
0:51 music?
The audio at 32:30 is unreal...
9:30 looks like someone forgot the parking brake :v
AC is so funny.
"iTs sO rEalisTuc!!"
*VRC invents first actually full functioning clutch 10 years after launch*
"WWWHOOOAAAA!!!"
Has anyone driven on this on the t300 rs ?
are we at a piont where being a race engineer in league races is an actual useful thing?
Yeah looking at the deploy modes and stuff...feels like two heads might be necessary to get the max out of it
I got a question, where can i bind the strats options on the fly
It’s the MGU-K Delivery Up/Down binding in Content Managers Controls
@@Schmawlik Thank you very much
Your mic has a high pitch wine in the background :S
what button/knob on my Fanatec F1 2018 wheel can I use for changing up and down the 8 "strats" on the fly in game?
0:43 First feature: the car can fly
Bro looks like Mike Ross
now if only the A.I. could race well
Where can i get the extend control app pls
It is included in the downloaded zip file, reading the manual will also help answer most questions.
19:05 where to find extended controls ?
Manual.pdf
why is the weel looking diffrent on my version?
You change the steering wheel in the setup menu
iracing devs who work on hybrid systems punching the air right now
This car is like "what if acc is a formula 1 game instead"
Insta buy man
Is the AI capable of running full races with pit strategy or is AC still a hotlap sim?
Try installing RARE, it can force AI drivers to pit, use fuel, drs rules are enforced etc etc
Thanks for the tip!@@LJT84
Its so advanced they had to add completely new engine code with better ffb than rf2, better braking behavior on entry and mid corner than iracing, better tyre temp and pressure behavior than ACC.
-havent tried it yet though 😂.
rss sweating rn
this slaps rss hard
Mike I'm not trying to get a job at Mercedes' factory here :p
Lol! You get to be Valtteri AND James with this one
Its like DCS but make it Formula One. Bonkers
if the F1 games had the level of detail this has, it would be amazing and definitely would slash the player base. esports would need a proper team of engineers to help the drivers go faster
It comes down to the old adage: when you've got the time to tinker with setups, go for the FA2023. When you want to startup a quick race go for the FH2023.
Trackmania's cars feel like trucks, compared to this.
Is this the *most realistic* F1 racing sim mod of all time!? 😖😳
alll that work for a sim that uses a single point of contact tyre model....... why????
You’ve somehow missed the point completely. Wow
CSP actually gives AC a multi point of contact tyre model that is customizable on the car developers side. It’s currently available in CSP v1.80 preview versions.
@@SimRacing604 dont explain or nothing
@@Schmawlikwow didn't know that, good reason to sub to csp...
Dont know aboyt 2023 version but 2022 car is soooo difficult to drive!! 😵💫
I wonder how RSS is going to react to this... or they already did it with the BMW's similar CSP-extended stuff?
It’s a great question, and something I’ve been asking myself since driving this car. Did VRC raise the bar permanently? Or is this a one-off. Will future VRC entries have similar levels of detail, or was this too difficult to build and scare them off making subsequent cars with CSP extended physics
Im crying with my g25
Time for fanatec or moza my friend.
The R3 is looking good...

@@shaggy5561 same here.
VRC and RSS are putting out incredible content, but it's a shame that it's all going into a sim that's dead development-wise. We won't be getting any new tire models, weather, etc. Hopefully, AC2 will have FULL mod support. Companies to understand, like Bethesda does, that a healthy modding community is what helps keep people coming back to these titles a decade after release.
It’s hasn’t been in active development by Kunos for years but it’s far from dead, I would say it’s very much alive and kicking thanks to the modding teams like VRC and RSS and the continued development of CSP and Pure. There are also still lots of communities and racing leagues for AC and it remains the most played sim apart from iRacing.
Modded AC has probably the best tire, suspension (including setup) and aero modeling of any sim out there. Does have weather too. Not sure what else you want. Sure most of these things need to be parametrized and will not just automatically apply to existing content, but it exists. I made a geometry this week that can't even be replicated in any other consumer sim.
dang, i really hoped for a brand new lmh/lmdh car from vrc after seeing rss drop bmw m hybrid v8 yesterday, not yet another iteration of boring ground effect f1 cars.
no
shame they rushed the release for some reason. the visual model is clearly unfinished and the physics are wack. ton of aero grip and very little mechanical grip. the features like magic brake and expanded diff settings are cool though
cool, but another modern f1 car is honestly kinda boring.
Good thing you're not forced to buy or download it then, right?
@@TreyMotes yeah, but still shame that they did yet another modern f1 car instead of, for example, group c/gtp car.
