Fun Fact: The little kid in the Iron Man helmet at 23:22 has been retroactively credited as being Peter Parker / Spiderman when he was much younger. I think that's pretty cool that they can sprinkle in little bits and pieces like that in the MCU movies, to tie in to other things. Pretty fun :)

Ok, so obvious, yes... next watch should be Thor. But, oh wait, you already watched that!
All the characters' arcs were really well done in the MCU. Tony Stark's is no exception.
You will get a clearer picture of the guy with the eyepatch (LOL!) as you keep watching.
Also, once again, the "old guy" with the mustache and the sunglasses you will see in cameos in all these Marvel movies (as well as you might remember having seen in the Spider-Man movies) is Stan Lee, the person who created all these characters.

The kid in the Iron Man mask is Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man. Ivan vanko is two different Iron Man villains mixed together for the MCU with one of them being whiplash and at the end of the film that armor Ivan was wearing was based off mech suit called the crimson Dynamo. The reason Tony's are character was poisoning him and was just a prototype because every element he used in it was flawed because the true element was from space. So the element rediscovered for his new arc reactor is a synthetic element that Howard Stark based off the original source the cosmic cube or the tesseract which hasn't been introduced yet.
