I previously posted Alan Bennett's popular adaptation of The Wind in the Willows - but here's a more recent version, adapted by Neil Brand.
The multi-talented Brand is also a composer and has now produced a number of these 'concert dramas', dramatisations which use lengthy musical passages to help describe the setting, the emotions and the events of the story. Performed in front of a live audience, the effect is very distinctive and vibrant.
