I loved the first game, but I appreciate the fact that they're taking some bigger swings with the characters this time. The scholar being driven by revenge rather than a simple thirst for knowledge is a very nice change of pace.

Probably the part that interests me is that they said that two character's tales will intertwine with each other. Feels more interconnected than having the stories connect in the shadows to convene at one point. But overall I can't wait for this to come out. And I really need to go beat Octopath Traveler entirely before this.

The soundtrack of the game looks amazing, the scenery and the visual quality is just stunning. I can't wait to play it, the story of Osvalt seems to be very dark and Partitio has a fun character. The additions of the boat is already one of the best things in the game

So far osvald intrigues me both story and gameplay wise would be interested if there was a poll on everyone first character pick and overall character this game when it comes out

Game looks great, characters look awesome! I’m really excited to see Throné as I plan to pick her as my main. Honestly the only character I wasn’t too interested in was Agnea. The rest have a lot of flavor.
Digging these characters, though here's wondering if Osvald will take Cyrus's spot as my fave. I'm likely starting with Partitio, unless someone else has me more interested in their journey. I really wanna see Temenos soon!
@@GeorgeZimmermen Definitely it was the weakest part, I hope that unlike the first, they have the characters interacting more on their routes like actually having a effect on the outcome, e.g. when 'character' was imprisoned, instead of having haanit saying so random banter with no effect on the plot, she could assist in actually breaking out of the cell. Not some simple flavorless banter that you see in the tavern. I do agree though, the ost was absolutely amazing, I hope it holds up here too!

square enix is the king of pixel art. this game looks so polished compared to the first one, and that one was already a giant success. sincerely looking forward to seeing Final Fantasy 1-6 get remodeled along with Dragon Quest

The Latent Power mechanic sounds interesting but the abilities sound similiar if not identical to the Divine Skills from OT 1. I wonder how they will handle that.
The dancer and scholar equivalent seem to be a one time use, instead of a buff. Or at least that's my impression. I wonder if there are even Divine skills at all this time around?
@@MrRaui i think this was a way to balance some of the buffs of the first game. If you knew how to use them propely, you were pretty much unbeatable during fights, those were pretty broken sometimes
Cowboy Stereo-Trope and Edgelord. Lets go. Okay, past the surface they have complex arcs. I wonder if certain characters will make certain parts of the game easier given how broad the abilities are.
When your mainline series no longer caters to old long term fans, a side series comes to the rescue. I love this series. OMG the new travel and islands. This looks like the first game improved and expanded upon :D Can't wait!!

4:17 shows that there's an interaction in battle, "I owe you one Partitio". In the first trailer, two members are seen talking to each other in the cutscene. I believe the dev took notes of the first Octopath and made it better now.
Its not a new word, its a new continent ^^ They mention the god Aelfric and the order of the flame; as well as using leafs as currency. I appears to be connected to Osterra because the currency and culture are the same. It might just be a neighboring continent
Really hope the grind isn’t as bad as the first game. I got really far and put many hours in, but the grind killed me. Couldn’t do it anymore. If I was 12 maybe, but I don’t wanna bother anymore
but they will are several relatively separate stories with some elements in common like the first game? because I would prefer it was a choral story like the classic jrpg and not like the first ..

I usually pick the warrior in JRPGs as my main character but I might actually chose Partitio because I think he looks cool. Osvald as well.

That battle theme at the end is phenomenal! Definitely has some more Western influences this time. Nishiki killing it with the OST as always.

Tressa was my 1st favorite in Octopath 1, then in Octopath 2 Ochette became my first favorite, but Partitio became a close 2nd favorite of mine.

The first octopath story was literally the weakest part. Bland and boring as hell. It was held up by the combat, graphics,soundtrack and world design.
