It's not Click Bait if it's True! Zach finally made what I always wanted from an overdrive pedal. I use 2 or 3 pedals at one time to get me what the Herculean Deluxe does and now those sounds are in one pedal. I'm really excited about this and for Mythos!
- Thanks Cory. If that’s truly the way you feel, than ok. And I guess I neglected to account for the arsenal of OD pedals you must have within arms reach to “supplement” when desired. But as much as I hate cliches, “nothing is definite but death and taxes” still holds true. Cheers. 🎸
@@adamkrauss303 Ha thanks for that. I do have an arsenal but, only ones that I will actually USE make the boards. Yes boards plural as they are for different jobs because I still do this guitar playing thing for a living and need the "right" tools!

When my mom passed I bought a guitar, a PRS S2 and I've started playing and it's helped with my grief and I love your videos. Corey. Thank you so much for bringing peace to my grief.
I don’t get all the sour comments. This pedal sounds great. You have great content! Mythos pedals are awesome. Zach is a great player, pedal designer, and UA-cam personality. I like all of his stuff.
W0W! This is a most excellent pedal! It would be the greatest pedal ever created, if it only went too 11!!! Thank you Mr Congilio for the awesome demo!
to me, it sounds like a very nice driven valve amp's preamp. i love my amp's driven tone, but i like to shape it for a cutting lead tone. so i use a clean push with a mid bump to drive the preamp a touch harder but cuts in the mix. this pedal does that so nicely.
I mentioned in an email to Mythos that I'm using the Mjolnir for my hollow body which only has a neck pickup. Anytime I have an organ trio hit, that pedal is always on. I liken it to a bluesy Kenny Burrell or Grant Green tone.
Thanks for answering my question @corey congilio about front of amp vs effects loop. I actually prefer front of amp too, but so many people talk about effects loops that I was wondering if I was missing out on something. But if you and 90% of Nashville is doing front of amp too, I think I’m in good company. Plus I’ve actually AB’d it blindly, and prefer front of amp (sonically)
It figures that I finally finally bought myself a Catallinbread Naga Vioer treble booster and then these guys bring out a super ultra overdrive giant pedal deluxe with tube screamer in the design. Maybe even with a silicon transistor making it play better with buffers.😊
Looks interesting. Even the most "transparent" pedal will change tone a little bit. If you have a pedal that sounds like you turned your amp up, you probably notice a little bump in bass right? Its not bad its just a change in tone
The color is super cool. My simple view on this is its a fancy BD2 and an SD1 in one pedal. How might this give me something more than my current OD setup.... BD2 first with gain almost noon for a flat EQ modest gain drive pedal, followed by an SD1 with low gain, higher level for a mid pushed lead pedal? Either can be used alone or in combo.
Awesome content as always - a question (for anyone really). I've never got on with the gain of a Klone (I have a tumnus I use just for boost /EQ). It always just sounds raspy when using the gain. Am I right in thinking the Mjolnir has a more saturated gain?
I'm done; the pedals that I do have work fine with me. It seems that everytime someone comes out with something, I go back and find no difference with what I already own.
Gonna say it. All od pedals sound the same to me. Put an od, a fuzz and a distortion pedal on your board, you're sorted. Or just a Rat, it'll do all 3.
Oh man, lots. Blues Driver, Chroma Console, Beano Boost, R2R Treble Boost, Old Ibanez DML10. I know there's more, I just can't remember them all! Oh, POD Express, Boss IR2 and Two Notes Opus Pro in the past year. I have a problem!
A pedal demo that uses an expensive amp is really quite pointless. I don't know too many weekend warriors who gig with a Marshall Plexi or any of the other high dollar amps I see in this video. Most weekend warriors and bedroom rock starts are using modeling amps these days. Just a suggestion.
