I just bought the exact same car in September. Come to find out that a friend of mine has (had) one too. Unfortunately my friends were driving theirs yesterday with their 1 and 2 year old children. All of a sudden their car burst into flames. So, with me owning the same car I googled to see if there are any issues with the 2017 Buick Encore catching on fire. Low and behold GM has known about these cars catching on fire for a long time and they haven't recalled them or done anything about it. It's totally ridiculous. If I could tell everyone in the world not to buy one of these I would. Hopefully a lot of people will see this comment so they don't get suckered. Signed: a pissed off Buick Encore owner
I wouldn't if I were you, I just found out that the Buick Encore has issues with the intake leaking air so it doesn't get the proper air and fuel mixture which can cause it to catch on fire. They also have problems with them leaking antifreeze. If both issues occur at the same time your car will have a better chance of catching on fire. I know someone who was driving theirs yesterday with their 1 and 2 year old children in the car when it burst into flames. They were lucky to all get out in time. Before you think about buying a Buick Encore I would Google it. Ask if there are any issues with a Buick Encore catching on fire. You'll be happy to see it BEFORE you waste your money buying it. Unfortunately I just bought one myself about 2 months ago. Just Google it before you make a decision
