me too and loving it!
I have been using sx controllers that are 4 chanel's before ddj 1000 came out. Im organizing my own events and all I can tell is that this controller is the best one to get. Over years using 4 channel controllers there was only 4 times I used 4 channels and that was cdjs hooked up to it for a headlining djs from abroad. Saying that carrying such a huge controller with me at all times is not worth it as I would rather rent the whole cdj djm setup for headlining acts anw. This controller has everything anyone would need in a 22% smaller package. I don't believe price point is too high as in this case smaller body = massive benefit especially that this controller has newer tech than the 1000 and all it's functions. Buying the ddj 1000 in my opinion is not worth it anymore as you will be carrying way bigger controller and be using it they way you would use the 800

the controller is really dope. If the fader had the magvel it will be perfect . save up for DJ1000 if you are a turntablist/scratch dj , better deal. Also , better standalone features
is the sound card the same as the ddj1000?

Scratching my head as to why the DDJ-1000 doesn't have the same Cue/Loop section as the 800.
Also the the Master Tempo and Tempo adjust are laid out better.
This is closer to a CDJ layout than the 1000, apart from the Jog Wheels of course
XDJ RR vs DDJ 800? which one should I go for
It depends on what you value the most. I have a DDJ 800 and my best friend has an XDJ RR and while he can obviously do gigs much easily without the need of a pc, I can do a lot more stuff including streaming and stems which are very important features for me. So it is basically personal preference
I like Serato
I like versatility in my DJ Set so thats what VDJ gives you don't be stuck using one software just like everything else software's are getting better with time DJSS.

Sr3 is pretty much the sera to version
If you had VDJ it works with everything and now has STEMS DJSS...
That feature is for EDM DJs.
As stupid as it sounds i do like to use different fx on both channels independently in my sb2 I wonder how much only being able to use one fx at a time on this controller is gonna change how I play
That doesn't sound stupid at all! You could use different FX per channel using the pad FX!
