True I'm a black girl too and white people always respected me even in the south. They were nicer then the north and even the cops. I only seen 2 racist white people in my life that's it for now and I seen some racist black people too and even had one as my teacher. I just hate how some black people use there color as an exuse of their crimes. I remember last year back in middle school this boy who always say to the teachers your racist, just because I'm black and your sexist. One of the teachers were Spanish and she was telling at the boys because they weren't listening during the fire drill. It was 2 black boys and 1 Spanish boy and she was yelling at all of them right one of the black boys said your being racist just because I'm black and she said I was yelling at the Spanish kid too. When a group of people are given special status, protected by others, told over and over they have been mistreated and are owed something more than other groups they develop a sense of entitlement and invincibility. ***** in the very specific context of American history, white people have not been enslaved, colonized, or forced to segregate on the scale that black people have. They do not face housing or job discrimination, police brutality, poverty, or incarceration at the level that black people do. This is not to say that they do not experience things like poverty and police brutality at all. But again, not on the same scale - not even close. That is the reality of racism.

In the 50s and 60s, black Americans fought every meaning of the word segregation. Now they segregate themselves (having their own tv channels, having their own months ect.), which I don’t necessarily have a problem with. The issue for me is the double standard.. if a television company made a channel dedicated for white people, or if their was a month dedicated specifically for white heritage, or if a white person wears a shirt that says “white pride” it’s immediately viewed as racist. Why does every other ethnicity get to be proud of their race except white people. Why do black people get to call me a white boy as if I’m supposed to be ok with that but if I label/identify a black person by their color, I would get confronted 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ That logic is idiotic to me.
I guess because our ancestors 200 years ago were slave owners. Every decade since slavery was abolished we've tried to unify everyone, no matter their race. And now, it's completely flipped. His analogy made perfect sense but if you've already made your mind up that he's wrong then you make yourself to dumb to understand. Allow me to elucidate. If three people order a hamburger and only two receive them and the third person complains and says "I deserve a hamburger", would the other two say "hey man, we all deserve a hamburger"? Of course they wouldn't, because they'd have to be morons. Everyone who ordered a hamburger deserves to get one but if some do get one and some don't, you focus on fixing the problem for those who didn't. Yes, all lives matter but if some are already treated like they do and others aren't then it's the ones who aren't that you focus your attention on fixing the problem for. Now, if you want to make an argument that black people already are treated as though their lives matter just as much as those of white people then you can make that argument. I disagree and will make a counter-argument but that's a conversation we can have. To pretend that you don't understand the point being made in the first place is rather pathetic though. If you have facts on your side then you don't need to resort to a strawman, which makes me wonder why so many do. Actually, I know why they do.
wunnell because comparing a complex geopolitical problem to buying a burger is fucking stupid. That analogy is fucked. No one is denying you the burger. There are burgers everywhere. Gin Gin If “unfair treatment” is the problem, I understand. I hate watching these political “debates” that aren’t even debating anything. Obviously all lives matter, and racism is bad. OBVIOUSLY. But we gotta look at stats and correlation/causation of certain things put in society to target minorities. I don’t see any plausible claims, that explicitly target minorities. Especially when the system is collectively molding to make everyone’s life better. I like discussing LOGIC and FACTS. But calling people outright “racist” just shuts down our whole discussion and dialogue. It’s actually pretty funny, some blacks are getting called neo-nazis like Daryl Davis. Lol
Eco Vasquez I know man in joking..it is stupid..we are all equals in the eyes of the masses and the society..we are separating ourselves..and we all need to stop..we need to make our own burgers or chicken and stop expecting others to make it for us or vice versa..we need to work together to get the burger made and share it equal and STIP worrying about who's getting more other than common sense..whi made the burger?.. who bought the ingredients.. who worked hard so the burger could be there..and who showed up to get the burger after putting nothing into it..common sense will lead the way..i wish we all had a fair share of common sense so we could all have our fair share of burger as well
Because BLM is now the SYSTEMIC problem. They ARE the racists. The truth is bubbling up to the surface. Seek equality, NOT superiority. Look at the similarities in BLM and KKK. They are all bottom of the barrel. Disgusting!
the "burger" analogy points out "it's all about me" ... if you get in line for a burger depending on when you arrive and how long it takes you to order and whose preparing it , but if you have prepared for planned for and have had the intent had achieved the capabilities had taken the opportunity you will get your burger.
@Robert Deberry People don't say all lives matter without it being used against black lives matter. Just search up the definition. Black lives matter is in the definition of what all lives matter is. As if people don't think all lives matter. Go see on the news and see how many people have died the past couple months. Are they no longer showing any other lives? Why did CNN post a video of a guy shooting a police officer. Their lives don't matter right? That's just dumb. *Obviously all lives matter.* If you are talking at school and their is a mental health speaker they are most likely going to say something on the lines of: *we all matter* Hear anyone get mad at that? No. because that's in response to nothing. Go to a blm/trump rally and those words are used specifically agaisnt blm. The guy had a good analogy but I guess people ignored it. You have a choice. Working on both choices is too hard and complicated and will eventually get messy. But two options: Help the student who just got out of college find a job to start his life. Or help a homeless person find a job to feel his family. Who are you going to focus on? Most likely the homeless person. Even though the student *could* use help. He doesn't need *as much* help. Now if you want to say all lives matter do that. Combine your efforts with black lives matter and make it for every. single. person/races. problem. If that were possible. that would be amazing. But I can easily imagine how quickly it would fall apart and how disatourous it would be because they'd be focusing on wayyy to many things. Plus, I doubt most people supporting all lives matter would not want to contribute with black lives matter....thus again...proving my point. I don't support the organization of black lives matter. But I do support the name. Which is why I don't support all lives matter/police lives matter/white lives matter/ insert minority lives matter or anyyything.*It's just a distraction*. You want to make an organization that poor lives matter/ or anything's lives matter? Be my guest. But these words are just words to go against the saying of the organization. Also, I wonder why more police shot white people than black people? It's almost as if ... gasp.....black people make up 13% of America and white people make 73%...? huh... silly me. I actually tried to take that argument seriously. Oh well. We should all go back in time to say all lives matter in the 60's and the response will be great. Buuuut then we should also go back in time of the Holocaust while people are protesting to save the Jewish and say all lives matter against that. :/

But i'll take an example closer to me that can explain a bit what the problem is. Natives here in canada were treated like shit and been sent to remote areas in small comunities to live together. One day the world changed, laws changed, they been recognized as full citizens with same rights as everyone else, they been given tons of money to compensate for the past. But what happens, they do nothing (not all, but most), they took the money and drank it, smoked it etc. Now they are fucked up and are like "come on whites, you owe us, make our lives better". But we can't go and make them go to school, get degrees, get a job and be succesful for them. But we can't do that for them, we freed them, we gave them rights, money, and they screwed it. They still claim it's whites fault for what happen today but it is not, not anymore. They got there by force because of whites yes, but now they are free and it's their own job to get out of there and have a life, nobody can do it for them. I feel like some black people are like the natives im talking about. They want everything handed to them by magic, but we can't do that, we can't make them happy and succesful in life, they must do it themselves and that's probably what pisses off the black succesfull people that are interviewed on tv because they worked hard to get there and see the BLM group asking to be handed that for free by magic and they get mad. I bet many think inside their head "just shut up and kick your ass instead of whining".
Natives that kicked their asses and built their lives are now totally equal with anyone else, live the same lives and have the same opportunities. The ones that didn't just whine and ask to be handed everything, but they are drug addicts, gamblers, alcoholics... and i was one and i know the last thing that can help that kind of person is to send them more money. They need to be treated, helped to get sober and go back to school or get a job... but they refuse help, they say it's all whites fault "give me money, give me money". At this point there is nothing we can do.
It's selective, very very selective. My dad was murdered, run over multiple times, and then blocked the street for hours, blocking ambulances even, by a SC Sheriff in California and nobody came running to help. No protests no nothing
I've seen the triggered and offended look in his eyes so often, even here in Germany. It always came from people who operate on a victim mentality even when they have it good. One year ago a portuguese friend of mine complained that she couldn't get jobs or an apartment because of her dark brown skin color. I didn't say anything, just let her vent and endured it. She didn't want advice anyway. Well, the joke is, two weeks later she successfully applied for a job and found an apartment while I know MANY other people(mostly white) who get turned down because their desired apartments are assigned to refugees who live only on welfare. Some even get thrown out of their homes for that reason, especially elderly people. Talk about racism. Also, even after this friend of mine got what she searched, she wouldn't stop complaining, she just told new stories of racism. We're not friends anymore, because I just don't deal with this level of bullcrap. I'm sure she's still out there, now whining about how racist I am for not wanting to be friends anymore lol.
God, white people just don't understand. I would so much love to meet this "black friend" of yours. I would listen to her "truth telling' fables and stories on how the community shut her down and has mistreated her simply because the color of her skin. Me and her would relate more and be able to have a lot in common because i too, have seen and been involved in first hand racism. it's kind of hard to talk and have a open conversation about the word "racism to an individual or group of white people. They don't understand the hate we get or receive. I broke up with my white friends aswell, I tried talking to them about how i was treated because of my dark complextion. and they just laughed and made up some sob story as if "all people are treated just as terrible".
@@lolpop300 What do you mean white people don't understand? You're literally being prejudice by definition. I personally know racism as a white person. Latasha Edwards He was assassinated. He actually fought to end racial discrimination and segregation in the US which was against mostly black people at that time . So it was mostly equality for black people making it equality for all people.
Latasha Edwards I don’t understand the people voting republican because Mlk was republican part so can you explain that? People are having peaceful protests but the police shoot them and tear gas the peaceful protests. Yes everyone is created equal but the system doesn’t treat everyone the same. Yes, all lives matter but it comes of as racist when said under black lives matter. No blacks aren’t being hunted down but they are afraid of being killed next. Innocent black people have lost their lives and everyone is afraid of who’s going to be next. Yes black on black crime is terrible but why bring it up when talking about police brutality. Police brutality is caused by people who have the law on their side meaning they can get away with it. Black on black crime usually comes with revenge from one side. Plus the black neighborhoods aren’t always the best meaning that a lot of crime may take place there. No one should get away with murder especially the police. A.C.A.B
Latasha Edwards actually blacks are being treated unequally of course it isn’t as bad now but it is still bad. Yes black people have rights and use them how they choose to. Brainwashed how? Yes the black lives matter movement is helping because it stands against inequality against black people. They don’t treat whites like they’re all racist the movement isn’t against whites it’s against police and systematic racism. What makes you think that black people can’t vote? When a group of people are given special status, protected by others, told over and over they have been mistreated and are owed something more than other groups they develop a sense of entitlement and invincibility. Well... I don't think how this African American victimhood narrative make sense...
I'm not about to waste anymore of my brain power on this
In the 50s and 60s, black Americans fought every meaning of the word segregation.
White people are the bad guys, Because of the past that they can't control, not because of the actions of those who are still racist.
@@bredust29 every black person didn't have slaved ancestors. Some blacks had family free and we're never taken to be slaves. Also, if you know how it feel why do it to others?

I've never done either. It's been over 50 years since the civil rights movement and MLK, and yet we're seeing the same problems today. Why can't we just get along?
It's willful segregation. They're doing it to themselves (And actually it's all ethnicities but they've used white people as their scapegoat and turned the black communities into the victims) The Democrats have done this. Crafted lies and cultivated hatred and intolerance in the followers' hearts to direct it at their enemies. The rest of us. Anything that disagrees or threatens their power. Can't wait for Trump to win this election and get rid of these psychos trying to ruin our country
I am completely confused with as to why you don’t understand why there is a black

Also saying “your people” just shows how much you don’t understand what me and many other people believe. Not all whites are the same and that would be racism. All his analogy did was make me hungry
He thinks the world revolves around him...
Came here to say this. Lol what a dumbass
It’s up to you to get the burger. A lot of people want a burger without paying for it. Some people don’t even wanna go to the burger shop to get a burger but still demand the burger.
When will people be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin?

As if people don't think all lives matter. Go see on the news and see how many people have died the past couple months. Are they no longer showing any other lives? Why did CNN post a video of a guy shooting a police officer. Their lives don't matter right?

It would seem by my negative comments that I don't want peace between blacks and whites. That is absolutely not the case. Exactly what I want is a clean, safe, peaceful, friendly world where everyone gets along, where there is no racism, no prejudice, no fighting, no arguments, no crimes, no war, no bloodshed, no terrorism and everyone is on the same page. This does not mean that people can not have individuality and go their own way. This means that everybody is alike enough to where differences do not mean violence, but different enough that they can express themselves individually. It is very difficult to know what to say, do, think or feel when so many black Americans just honestly don't care how they treat others. It's honestly a heck of a difficult problem, definitely the most difficult one I can imagine. Sure, there's all kinds of problems going on on planet Earth at any given time, but racial tension is the single biggest problem that I can think of right now because it is at my front door step. Every single time I go out in public, I have to worry if I'm going to get verbally assaulted or physically assaulted by people who don't like me because of my skin color. One way to cut down on this is to eliminate all negative influences, such as movies, music, books, television shows, anything which expresses violence in any way at all. There's already gobs of racial tension between blacks and whites as it is. We don't need any help. Furthermore, there should be no such thing as drugs or alcohol, which makes things even more difficult.

Feminists do the same, instead of blaming themselves for their failures they blame men, whites etc. The fact is yes white males created the problems at the start, but now the world changed and women and black people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Dumbest comparison ever...doesn't even make sense.
lol right!
I was about 13 years old hanging out with my friend DeAndre and some of his other friends were hanging out outside. They started throwing firecrackers at me and stalked me on my way home beat me up about a minute away from my house. They jumped me because their former friend wanted to hang out with me instead of them anymore. 5 dudes beating on me. You think white people can't understand racism? Bullshit! The only thing that stopped them was my best friend's dad who saw what was going on and he shooed them off and got me home. You are being racist by saying white people can't understand! You are a racist!
That’s the problem. It’s never enough. They need to something for the hate to cling on to.
@@lolpop300 Oh yes because everything is such a struggle for black people right. Nah it's just victim mentality. And obviously you'll sympathize with her because you clearly also have that mindset
@@lolpop300 You're a victim in your own mind.
MLK preached equality of all people.
Do you think that the republicans offer more equality towards all?
Latasha Edwards What reality?
Yeah MLK Jr preached for equality. BLM preaches for superiority.
