Noah's been through some tough times in his life so this really pulls at your heartstrings. It's wonderful that he's carrying on Keaton's legacy by paying tribute to him during their tour and covering "Sympathy". A wonderful way to honor not only a musician that he respected and admired, but who was his friend as well. 🖤
As soon as I saw this upload, I thought there's no better person to ask, because he absolutely knows some dark times, and the fact that he can create what he does, the way he does is astounding.
Noah wears “The Lord of The Rings” T-shirt! It’s a pity, I wish I could have a chance to chat with him. It’s looks like we have lots of things to discuss. Good luck, Noah! I appreciate you❤
Whoa, this was actually kinda hard to watch. Never seen Noah been so open and vulnerable in an interview discussing his mental health issues and emotional state. Really appreciate this interview and the gentle way the interviewer handled what Noah was saying. It was lovely to hear more about his and Keaton's friendship, and I can now even more deeply appreciate the Sympathy tribute. My love and respect for Noah and Bad Omens only continues to grow...
I only discovered Bad Omens this year and didn't really pay much attention to who "the fifth guy" was. But after hearing this story I'm convinced Vince is an amazing human being. Recognising someone's struggle, taking them into your house and family and really helping them through it is so valuable. Especially as an older friend. Especially with someone who lost a stable home life too early. Maybe I wish someone saw me struggling at that age, I don't know, but I'm a little teary eyed about this story.
@@joelidirt He was the lead singer of Too Close To Touch. Unfortunately he passed away at a young age this past March from acute pancreatitis. Incredibly talented dude.
This was a really nice interview - props to the interviewer for allowing him to talk and feel comfortable enough to open up about these sensitive topics. I know how hard it is to deal with loss and mental health struggles. He’s honestly a breath of fresh air in the music industry because he’s so genuine (the band as a whole is). Anyways, I love Bad Omens. ♥️
You can tell just through Noah's music that he's had some mental health struggles. Enough, Enough Now, Miracle, and If I'm There are all songs that can break me down and make me full-on ugly cry, and you can tell he put a lot of raw emotion into them. And it really helps; especially on days when you feel like you're mentally treading with all of your might, desperately trying not to drown
@@Leslie-mo1it It's not cheesy. If I'm There hits me the hardest because I kinda dedicated it to my son. He's 18 and we're really close, but a couple years ago he fell into a pretty deep depression. I didn't notice right away, because I have 2 younger kids who both have special needs (not physically), and they take up a lot of my time an attention. I felt terrible when I found out, like I should have noticed sooner, especially since I have my own mental health struggles. And since he's the one who introduced me to Bad Omens, I immediately thought of him when I heard it. He's much better now, and on his 18th birthday we went and got matching Bad Omens tattoos 😊
Incredible interview. It’s not very often that we get to hear Noah open up as much about his own personal struggles in such detail but it’s certainly refreshing as a long term fan of the band. I had to pause the video when he brought up “Eiley” and later when he described his friendship with Keaton. Had to stop the tears from falling 😔 I really hope that one day, if there is a song written and dedicated to Keaton, that we may have the honour and pleasure of being able to hear it.
That Aurora album is a masterpiece. Was surprised that Noah knew of it but glad it helped him through things. Aurora is a gem of a person and I can certainly understand how her music can heal. Very awesome interview. Thank you both.
I love that Noah is rocking a LOTR shirt ❤ This interview had me in tears. I appreciate his realness in his struggles with mental health and resonate so much his words.
Eiley absolutely gutted me when I first heard it a few years ago. The raw emotion in it is so powerful and tangible. So many artists use metaphors and subtle lyrics to convey what they are feeling. Keaton was so open and blunt about his pain in that song and in his vocal delivery of it, that you can't help but get emotional. I can't imagine having a personal connection to Keaton the way Noah did and listening to that song.
The best interview of the year. It's crazy to know Noah's struggle with mental health meanwhile all of Bad Omens songs help me get through the day especially when I got diagnosed with GAD and depression. Brb.. crying over this interview. Thank you Noah for sharing this, you bring so much inspiration throughout the year
I really really wanted to hug him and say, you're not alone, everything will pass, we can get through it, don't worry, close your eyes now & pray until you fall asleep 🥰 I have a friend with anxiety like this. He often thinked about suicide & hurt himself, he went to therapy & psychiatrist too. Now, he can live happily together with his lover. Every time we meet again we just smile at each other, I'm happy he can look happy, we supported each other in high school. Actually, they are people with the softest hearts, that's why they become fragile when the world is so cruel.
I honestly love hearing why my favorite artists like certain songs and how it helped them because a lot of times those same songs have been special for us ❤️ It really shows how human they are 🥹❤️ Eiley is such an emotional song but I love it
I love what he says about Eiley cause it hits the nail on the head. I shed many a tear over this song because Keaton put so much emotional power into it and I can very much relate to these kinds of feelings. 🥺
Keaton’s sister and Keaton passing away as well is so heartbreaking. That poor family, hurts my heart so bad😢 it’s so hard losing someone you love so much. I lost my boyfriend who was my best friend in the world at 18 and It’s been over a decade now and I still cry at times bc I miss him so much, just a hole that never really went away :( it’s a different pain when you lose someone who is such an important part of your world& I truly hope Noah can heal and find peace by honoring his friend through creating amazing music that’ll help so many others in similar positions♥️

Too close to touch is an amazing band as well as bad omens. I’m so sad that we won’t hear any new songs from that beautiful voice. 💔 I would love to hear Noah cover some of their songs.
I first fell in love with the album The Death of Piece of Mind. If it were not for the tribute to Keaton by Bad Omens, idk if I would have ever found Too Close to Touch. Listening to their whole discography, I would not be surprised if Keaton brought out Noah's more melodic, and downright angelic, vocals. I think Keaton may have been an inspiration to Noah. Look at the album covers Haven't Been Myself v The Death of Piece of Mind. What a lovely friendship, I'm glad Noah shared the details in this video!
The fact that he put one of my fav songs on this list made my heart stop. TCTT is such a good band and this album especially. Got me through a hard time too.

Everything he is saying about Keaton makes me cry so hard, i know what it feels to lost one of your dearest friends, i know how hard is to talk so openly about that, i just think this is his way of catharsis, but it breaks my heart.
