One thing I've noticed that I really like is that the bodies you pick up loot from have rag doll physics, making them a lot more realistic than the stiff bodies you come across in literally all the other Souls games. Such a small detail, but it makes everything all the more immersive and I dig that.
Btw Chase, a guy named @Adri researched some things from pvp in this game, i dont know if he will tell it to you but, anyways here it what he said to JeeNine, Hope its helpfull -about the no damage backstabs... It is not only becuase ur enemy rolled when u backstab it, u can avoid backstab damage if u re backpedaling while blocking with a shield in left hand.. the game reduce the backstab damage by the % of the shield block. -About "kicks"... u can parry kicks. In ds3 some weapons u can combo an r1 after kick.. in this game there are weapons that can do some combos doing kick after some attacks. Dual katanas were meta in 2011 because u can push lock ur enemies in an infinite stunlock combo that u can only escape by toggle escaping. The big swords use "kick" to recovery from some attacks. For example the demon bone smasher 1Handed R2, can recovery fast using kick.. during ugs kick, ur character reduces damage like is blocking. Making it a move hard to punish -All attacks and kicks except hyper armor attacks are parriable.. the only hyper armor attacks are heavy weapons rolling attacks (great axes, ugs and some greatswords), some kicks (curved sword backflip). Hyper armor is infinite, even if u re naked -The meta weapons are double katanas, katana-Estoc, Estoc-Turtle, Bone smasher, High Vit regen builds with north regalia sword (can 1 shot backstab phantoms with less than 70vit), strafing mages, greataxes hyperarmor, War scythe, Mirdan Hammer, bluebloodsword (luck builds are viable at very high level because dmg increase the same from luck 1-99), knightsword, Meat cleaver and hypermode builds (morian blade has 60% increase at low hp in this game). All sl125 competitive builds must have double chance.. when u die, u get 50% of ur hp... it's an overpowered version of tear of denials -it seems like there isn't weapon matchmaking in the game, u need to max weapons to avoid being at disavantage. Sl118 is the max lvl for invasions (u can invade sl120 players as minimun) -Rolling into backstab is very hard to do in this game, most people use Rolling attacks and running attacks to aproach enemies because they are the fastest moves in the game -The big weapons golf swings allow u to rebuff or heal without getting punished -U can cancel riposte animation if do a backstab or running attack -red phantoms, blue phantoms and host attack damage is affected by the world tendency and character tendency. Thanks for the upload, son. Unfortunately due to covid, not that many PS5's are being sold in my country. And we will probably have to wait for 6 months or so to even get a chance. So thank you Chase for uploading. Now i can see this beautiful game from a good entertainer once i get home.
Honestely, i would love to experience the jank before it being patched out. It adds to the memories you can share or relate with others. I would feel more robbed then rewarded to miss this out. But that's just me.
I would say they went for a different tone in this remake in very subtle ways. For example, the female noble in the prison now sings like she's maintained perfect voice all this time (which is unlikely given how badly disfigured she is now). In the original she was humming like a tortured ghost for unclear reasons. It's so tragic, eerie and bleak.

Yeah, I can say that the Tower Knight is much easier to kill if you have access to magic. When I played through the original as a Royal I was able to just take the Tower Knight out without getting hit even once by just popping him in the face with Soul Arrow from up where the crossbowmen are and then ducking back behind the wall every time he tries that "energy javelin" attack. Easiest way to "cheese" the Tower Knight with minimal risk. He's more of a threat if you try beating him via melee attacks, but even then he's not too hard because he's so slow (which makes sense since he is one of the first bosses you can fight in the entire game, though you don't *have* to fight him immediately after Phalanx, you can actually save him for later by beating all of the other Archstone bosses first....though doing it that way means you will most likely stomp Tower Knight with ease as he isn't really meant to be fought *that* late in a playthrough).
4-2 is worse, theres only 2 of them BUT they dont bounce of shields anymore wit their normal strikes, and the path you fight them on is super narrow so you can forget dodging

Usually with new games I always have to complain about the world being littered and everything drawing my attention away from what is important. This however is simplistic and easy to understand, yet looks better than anything I saw before.
