Thank you, this was great for learning where to oil. Pretty sure my green Supernova was also dormant for many years. I had already removed the front panel (just two screws and it's easy to remove), and then you can see the parts inside that move and need oiling. However, now I can't figure out how to get the L-C-R lever to start working again, and so I could not check the zigzag worked - I'm pretty sure that lever worked before I removed the front panel...!
Beautifully designed and built machine. Fortunately, she wasn't treated to axel grease. The inside looks very clean. Looking forward to that poor Kenmore 158-1941.
Thanks for your really interesting videos. I started watching them when I recently acquired a Brother 345 and an Elna Lotus SP. The Brother is working well and I love it. I also love the Elna, it sews beautifully but, I would really like to fill the bobbins for this machine on the machine but the winder is worn down. I've bought a replacement for it but I cannot get the old one off. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks, Clare.
Hello we bought a Necchi supernova ultra when my wife made it sawing there was a sort of aluminiom paper roll that exploded the machine always works but can we use it without that roll thanks for all the explications

Hello... it looks like you have quite a bit of experience with older sewing machines and i was wondering if you could possibly help me with my "SUPRA Super Zig-Zag" sewing machine. I would like to find an operating manual or any helpful information for this sewing machine but have not had any success. Have you heard of this "SUPRA" model i can't seem to find any info on it.
Hi Mike. While the potential for finding the user manual for this specific model is a bit of a 'needle in a haystack', all is not lost. First, take some photos of your machine from the front and then look online for machines that 'sort of' resemble it. Japanese clones were made in large numbers but only by about 6 or so companies. They shipped them to N. America and then were 'cloned' with brands/names that numbered in the hundreds. Often, the manuals they included had no branding on them so that they could purpose them for many brands. Once you find a machine that has a resemblance to yours, note its brand name and search for manuals under that name too. It will take a while but you might find one in PDF form online but hiding under a different name. This approach also applies to finding stitch cams which were also unbranded like the manuals were. Once you have the manual, it will make certain things like threading the machine a bit more straightforward. Another idea is to find machines similar to yours and make a list of their brands. Then, search under those brands for videos and you 'might' find one that shows how it is threaded. Another option would be to befriend someone who has sewing on machines all their lives and may have better instincts for how a machine might be threaded.

What is the tiny knob to the left of tensioner?
You turn it which allows the needle threader to swing towards the needle.
Is that yellow rubber case box right behind the machine, a Chapman Set?
Yes, it is. These screwdriver tips are great for preventing the stripping of screws.
