These look like the CWK Straight Plates where the creator was running a kickstarter on LHCF years ago. It never really took off. You can't find them anywhere anymore.
I was so interested when I saw it, couldn’t find it anywhere. Finally saw something about a legal claim, though it was never produced otherwise, like by the original claimants. Like you say, it was years ago. I don’t even think of them anymore, especially with all the options that are constantly coming out.

It's a no looks painfull and an inconvenience
They were kind of uncomfortable and they actually started hurting the longer they where in. I did like how they stretched my hair. I am probably going to give it one more go.
Our type of hair, is more susceptible to dryness, that why it breaks more easily. Therefore, heat in any form is never the best. It may look good, but it’s certainly not healthy for the hair.
