Part and parcel of having a good solid season behind you. Of course Ange recognises the rivalry is before him and after him and not ultimately any of his business. He can grow into it. He himself is just a moderating foreign input into the dynamic at this stage. But that's growth. Tension between contrarieties. Storm in a teacup. Ange did qualify his right to express frustration with "maybe I'm out of step". Best wishes to Spurs to confirm 5th spot and exciting Domestic and Europe campaign next year. - Martin
As a spurs fan I wanted to win regardless.
When 3 proven and well situated managers as first team coaches, who also make mistakes, are on the same page, then there has to be a bigger issue. And as Ange said its inside its outside its an everywhere issue. Let hope we can all work on that one, including Mr. Levy. COYS

What a load of bull
When supporters are more worried about a rivalry against a club that's not even part of the game at hand, then absolutely you have to question integrity. Supporters, Players, and Management should concentrate on their own performance and results. I am sure City sat before the game and looked at all this and thought...everyone's making this very easy for us.
In hindsight, if Son put that huge chance away...it would probably have had a huge effect on the game. All in all I think the spurs players can be proud. They brought a proper fight.
Winning is a habit , Spurs are in the habit of not winning anything . Levy has to show the same intent on the pitch as he does off it and that requires
that he backs Ange .
Real intelligent thing to do . Root for the opposition when the the team you claim to support has not played this good for months and is matching what has been the best team land for 4 seasons , I'm surprised these ''fans'' can find their way to the stadium on their own.

We played well against Man City. I have a question for you, Ange: why didn't you apply the same system against Arsenal? You tweaked your system and played Vdv, Dragusin, and Romero; this could have caught Arteta off guard, as he doesn't have the same experience as Pep. You could have given the fans some sort of satisfaction. Arsenal has and will always be our fiercest rival. When we played Arsenal, we were down 3-0 in the first half, and the performance was unacceptable. Do you know how hurt we were based on the first-half performance? You could have tweaked it if you wanted to, but you refused to, and now you are blaming the fans for being this and that. Ask Levy for the backing and get on with your job. We, the fans, will never cease to support our beloved club. Managers come and go, and one or two end up going to our rivals. Now let's focus on getting ready for next season; enough of this cheap talk. Mr. Daniel Levy will never change for any managers; he'll remain the same.

you must not be familiar with the concept of "tanking" ie losing in order to get a higher draft pick which is strategy employed by losing teams and a common feature of north american sports. also, the club itself made every effort to win. if the fans expressed a desire to lose this particular game, for which there was nothing in it for us but would potentially deprive a despised rival a title, then that's understandable. you don't think Man U rolled over against Arse to screw City? or that Everton fans might want to lose to Citeh if it hurt Liverpool etc?
@@darin1697 tanking tends to ingrain losing and gets team nowhere ... teams have tanked in the AFL for draft picks and they have stayed at the bottom for years
@@cxv6367 I don't think you can say that it ingrains losing. Personnel and management change alla time losing isn't transferable. If there's a generational talent to be had or at least a high impact player who could immediately improve the team it's seen as a pragmatic strategy of short term pain for long term gain
Surprising that a couple of sentences and the old evil eye can be called a rant. As for Ange being arrogant: all the top managers are arrogant. They need cast iron confidence to deal with all the big egos they meet on a daily basis. Look at the way some Man U, and Bayern players have acted this season, and don’t get me started on Neymar’s delightful antics through the years.
I think Ange has been clever in deflecting talk away from the fact we've lost 5 from 6 and despite playing well we still dont have many shots on target and cant keep a clean sheet! That's nothing to do with the fans.

That's the issue nothing with fans not caring about one result at the end of the season when they would moat likley finish 5th even if they beat city. Buy winners more likely to win. They played well against city and still lost because city had better players better subs.

Ange needs to clarify his comments. Innuendo is inadequate and unfair. Our team played really well against the best team in the world with the best manager. By my viewing of the full match on Spursplay they tried to win. Sonny made a bad contact with the ball, to suggest otherwise is disingenuous to a player of his stature. As life long supporters we need to know what Ange meant. He puts up or shuts up and backs the squad. I found his gestures of frustration in the tech area, more than a little uncomfortable. I was very satisified with the effort & very satisified the result sent a torpedo to our noisy neighbours.

Love Ricky but he's wrong on this occasion. Ricky thinks its more the mentaility within the club thats in question. It isnt or Postecoglou wouldnt have joined. His comments were directed at the fans and a couple of ex players that spoke about not wanting Arsenal to win the prem. This wasnt directed as much at the ownership as suggested in my opinion. During the whole game you could hear a pin drop, the only time the silence was broken was the couple of occasions when the Spurs fans sung one chant, if you hate....... This is what Postecoglou was most disappointed with. Had the fans had the players backs in that game, Postecoglou wouldnt have complained about anything. On top of which the score could have been very different.

if Ange wants the fans to have a winning mentality then he should try winning some games. didn't show up for Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool (waited til we were down 4-0 to make changes) or Arse (down 3-0 by half), didn't even try to change formation or strategy but all of a sudden against citeh its an all out must win and he puts out a lineup and formation he's never tried? If and when the team starts winning trophies on a regular basis then they'll develop a winning mentality. Acting like a winner and being a winner arent the same.

@@Taecoconut this exactly. It was the quietest I've seen that stadium since covid. A disgrace to the club I love. Can't believe how idiotic some of the fan base are. At what point are we going to stop worrying about others? I couldn't care who wins the league if we're not challenging for it. We had 37 games to beat the others and we fell well short of that. Of course we did, because we're in transition. The concern now, is that the fans turn on Ange because he called them out.

Why did he have a go at us spurs fans on Tuesday. He has no right. When he took the spurs job he should have learnt about the rivalry between us and arsenal. I was one of the spurs fans that wanted city to win on Tuesday because I don’t want arsenal winning the league. There is nothing wrong with that. If ange did a good job managing us then none of us spurs fans would have wanted to lose on Tuesday. Ange has the cohonies to give the big man talk about winning etc if he cared so much why did he lose 4 games on a trot and also if he cared about trophies why did he get us to exit the FA cup and caraboa cup in the early stages.
