Kenshiro: “Taking people hostage? Have you no shame? What happened to your pride from your Two Fists?” Jagi: “Fuck off with that nonesense! I don’t need no Hokuto Shinken! All I need is a winning strategy to beat you!” Kenshiro: “You are beyond redemption, let’s finish this!”
That's why Jagi got such a major role in the game. They wanted to highlight that casting. He was actually marketed as the biggest villain in the game aside from Kyo-oh. However, Raoh and Targa both appear after Jagi's storyline.

I highly recommend reading the Jagi Gaiden side manga for Jagi, it gives a lot of really good insight to his character and why exactly he is the way he is
Clearly, Jagi forgot that Kenshiro already killed Shin, one of the MASTERS of Nanto Seiken. ...And, in this game specifically, Kenshiro's also beaten Rei and THOUZER too.
@@mattshinde3614 but clearly, jagi's mediocre martial arts and use of the well-known technique 'nanto double-barreled shotgun' is far superior to so-called "masters"
@@mattshinde3614 I don't think he ever knew about any of that. This is why he's always so shocked at his "little brother" 's power when they finally face off. He can't believe he could ever be that strong, and the only way he could be is by beating all those top martial artists
@@taisou108 Probably not the whole "beating Rei and Thouzer" in this game, no. But you'd think that Jagi would at least realize that if Kenshiro's still here, he's taken down Shin. Who is, y'know, one of the six masters of Nanto Seiken, and thus probably quite a bit better at it than Jagi. Granted, Suicidal Overconfidence is a common affliction in the world of Hokuto no Ken.
The music was so good and varied, from orchestral to pumping battle music, old Sega arcade soundtracks and then this beast of a theme. I really hope they make another! This series is not already dead.
Me when I first heard this song: Why is one of the biggest bitches in the game getting such a fire OST? Me 3 seconds later: It's high octane to convey the instability he lives with. The anxiety at seeing the younger Brother he could never defeat honestly. The mounting despair in seeing his underhanded tactics come up short one after another, knowing the end result but feeling driven towards it all the same, having already backed himself into a corner but unable to admit his inferiority.
Makes sense. I’d imagine that for Ken it’s a struggle as well; he still has to kill his younger brother because he knows Jagi’s irredeemable at this point.
i was thinking about buying this game but never did until i saw it on sale on the play station store and after hearing this near god like theme it was worth every cent

Jagi: "Prepare to die... KENSHIRO!!!" (Man, is it so pleasant to see Jagi getting his butt kicked in gameplays... Especially with the Hyakyuuretsu-Ken and this jam in the background... 😏😎)
@@mattshinde3614 I always thought it befitting to finish Jagi with the Hokuto Zankai Ken. (北斗残悔拳 North Dipper Remorse Fist) seeing as how thats what Kenshiro finished him with in the Musou game for the PS3.
@@ajakks6551 True enough. Technically, the most fitting finisher would probably be the "Awakening of the Senses" (Sui Ei Ko), but that's not a move in this game, sadly.
He's a coward against others martial arts masters. For any common human, he's a demi-god. That's why he was so scared of Kenshiro while being able to cause mayhem in the wastelands.
Even though I dig this track in a vacuum, I still think it doesn't fit this boss, not in either fight (but especially when it comes to the first one, what with you just standing and waiting for the chump to attack and counter). To top it all off, from what I've heard of the lore, Jagi is actually not a threat to Kenshiro, so why is this admittedly cool theme used for such an unfitting and underwhelming boss? I don't know but it is a bit disappointing how such a fire theme was misplaced in my opinion.
well, with jagis backstory from the jagi gaiden manga, we learn that he had a love interest named anna, who was.....well i wont spoil but something absolutely disgusting happens to her, and jagi loses his mind, he uses hokuto against the men who did what they did to anna, at this point he had discarded it. but when push came to shove he lost his reason and used it against about 30 men, its really sad that you think about it, but thats why i like jagi now, that small story in the manga shed a lot of light about why jagi is the way he is. just look it up, you can read the full manga for free online, its really well drawn and written

THE LEGENDARY GORO MAJIMA VOICED THIS CHARACTER
Kiryu also voiced Kenshiro.
Unsurprising since the game's made by the same people who made the Yakuza series but it's also very fitting.

Lost Paradise OST is the answer to what if Fist Of The North Star music is composed by neither Taku Iwasaki or Yugo Kanno
The idea of a yakuza game with different IP is just *AMAZING AND I MEAN IT* i hope they do this with other title like berserk or JoJo
I'd love Final Fight with this same engine, but open area like Yakuza 0 and set in the late 80s/early 90s like FF.
