Probably bc the dc05 was the cylinder version of the dc04
One of Dyson's best machines ever, and I agree that was their best crevice tool, it also featured on DC05
💯% agree I prefer the clutchless model its brushes felt stiffer I do miss mine
To be honest, I think they are all great. DC01, DC04, DC07, DC14, DC27 and the DC33.

@@RJA_World Although the DC01 wasn't that powerful as the later models, I do still like it.
Another great video! Looks like a really good vacuum with strong suction. Doesn't look as fancy as some of the newer vacs, but clearly still does a great job!

Fantastic video, I just purchased one of these today, I think my model is the Absolute, once it arrives in the post I plan on giving it a full rebuild seeing as how plentiful replacement parts are and Hopefully it'll serve me a good long time.

I just wish that Dyson would've sold their Dual Cyclone vacuums alongside their Root Cyclone vacs back when they entered the North American market. I'm sure they would've been a budget friendly option to people who wanted a Dyson but couldn't afford to pay $500 plus for one.

@@Adams202get a clutched 04 they’re good how they are but some can have bad clutch belts or get a non clutch one but I like the clutched ones as they had features to turn the brushbar on and off

Dyson truly went so many levels ahead from the dc01 and dc03 the DC04s were the boost of the time and were looked as futuristic in the late 90’s (1998)
That's the first clutched DC04 that I have seen that uses a round brushroll instead of the helix shaped one.

Pretty machine debating getting one after my shark blew up , no idea what to get tho 🤷♀️need recommendations from my favourite vacuum channel edit: forgot to mention on a budget
Thanks! DC04s are great but I like the DC14 a little better - more suction, more robust, easier to empty, wand is less bulky than on the DC04, the clutched ones work better on hard floors due to the large debris channel but the non clutched ones are for carpets only and work much better than the clutched versions
The only thing is the DC14 crevice tool is angled for some reason and has a large vent hole on the side, I prefer to cover that in tape

It’s a non genuine pattern part from the late 2000s I think, although it came with a DC07 I got last year!
It looks so easy to dump the bin and clear clogs
How heavy is it and how difficult is it to push
I can’t afford one anyway but I’m curious

It really is a nice simple machine that does the job with no fuss and just works
It weighs about 8KG, it’s not the hardest vacuum to push around but not the easiest either, on most of my carpets it glides nicely whilst sticking to the floor, it really sticks down on the blue carpet a lot though

I realized, DC03 + DC01 = DC04.
3 + 1 = 4
The DC04 is basically a DC01 with the features of a DC03
That brush roller isn't the type of brush I recall the clutched DC04's having.
It’s a replacement pattern brushbar
Think about all the perfectly fine Dyson vacs that were thrown out because the owners didn't maintain them properly.
why do you hate the dc04i, I haye it as well because it was the one I told u about that was falling apart but why do you hated that one
