Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T Exhaust [Stock vs Turboback]

Comparing the OEM exhaust on my current Skyline with the previous Skyline that I used to own which had a very sweet sounding 5zigen Border Turboback exhaust setup. This video shows a couple fly-bys, but I was restricted in the area I am in which is residential so I couldn't let loose.

Personally I prefer the sound of the silver one. Black one feels a bit.. empty? But imagine the deep growl of the black one, then fill that background “emptyness” in with the silver one. How good would that sound, eh?

hmmm I think the stock sounds better, the 5zigen just has more bass, but sounds more like a 2.0L 16V, while the stock sounds more like a bmw M50b25 engine. But both are fine and the tail lights are awesome!
Nope...the black one has the OEM exhaust..but it doesn't sound too bad for a stock system.

Stock BOVs have a silencer (a large plastic box attached to the air pipe) to mute the hiss. I removed mine from both my Subis and it made a huge difference. 10 minute job.
Tbh i love the first one a lot more it sounds louder and just better in general

the turboback makes it more civilised when revving for some reason.
I saw an r34 gts at an auction in edmonton, hope i can pick it up and drive it in ontario. Do you know the power of the gts models?

that's how an GT-ST sounds stock, that's why I went with an R34 GT-T rather than an R33 GT-R
It's mostly from the engine sound itself resonating throughout the (Usually straight thru) exhaust system. That raspy sound can be a love or hate thing. I love it, but a lot of people hate it because it can get you a lot of attention. Especially from the blue-blue

Rome1017 not true at all mate... South America saw LHD r32s and 33s ... And of course you could buy a LHD r34 in the states for like at least a month ... And if u did before they banned em you could keep it

someone enlighten me why they sound like they both have blow off valves? is it stock with no valves? or stocked with blow off valves? (would be retarded.)
Every turbocharger has a blow off valve. You just can't hear stock because the blow off in sneaky places :P
stock blow off valves recirculate wasted boost charge for emission reasons.

Revert it to original blow-off valve (recirculating) and stop your car sounding like typical RICER moded shit... It's too good of a car for this kind of 'tuning'.
***** thank you. Yes you need to at least 50/50 recirc on most cars to keep from running rich. Especially volkswagens maf systems. Most chips for rbs and stis will allow an option for bov, just discards all the pre-metered air every time you let off the gas and starts fresh, where recirc valves fuel for the air already in the intake system. Hard to explain, I probly failed, but that's the gist of it.

These are aftermarket LED R33 Tail lights..not sure what brand though
