@hermesake Hot springs are all over Japan, They call it Onsen. For japanese ,domestic travels equal onsen travels.

It's may look cute but I seen a nature documentary where if you're not part of the "elite" group you're not allowed in ,, some of them freeze to death with their young. If the camera went upwards into the background I'm sure you would have seen them on the mountain as the other video I watched showed and talked about
The documentary series you are referring to is called "life" by the BBC. The episode is titled "primates." Great watch I would recommend to any wildlife/nature enthusiast!
SNOW monkeys learned in the 60s from humans to get warm in the springs... and to wear fur coats.

According to the latest BBC documentary 'Life' which features the same location, what happened is that there is a social order between monkeys that are allowe to joing the spa and monkeys that are not. There is about 60 degrees Cent beween in and out. Nothing changes. The same situation as in your local golf club. This documentary mentiones only the good side.
