    I think the scorecard was on point..i had frank barely beating dude.. i feel like frank had his hands in his pocket too much like broner or sum this fight, but when he let his hands go he clearly was dominating.. the dude mustve had pop to have him hesitant, thats the only thing i can think of..cuz i think bro was hurting frank to the body with a couple shots..but nonetheless good fight, not all wins are pretty

    This was a very good fight and learning curve for Frank Martin tonight. He wasn’t busy enough because Artem was his toughest opponent to date. He lied when he said he didn’t think Artem was tough. Artem was tough. Artem had the more heavier punches early on in the fight and Martin felt those punches. There was a point in the 6th round or before where Artem even hurt Martin with a body blow to his gut, in which Martin slowed down his own action and made him think about his exchanges in close. Artem had good foot work in a few rounds which threw Martin off a little bit, kind of confused him in a couple rounds.
    Frank Martin was confused at one point on how to counter or hesitant if he should counter. This was indeed a very tough fight for Martin, this is the kind of fight he needed. He was actually losing this fight early and had to rally back to win this fight…and he did win it. It wasn’t easy walking down Artem as he had done to previous fighters. Why? Because Artem wasn’t dazzled by his speed and power, because he had speed and power of his own; and he made Frank Martin feel that power. So…when Martin was asked,…”was he a tougher fighter than you thought he’d be?” Martin lied when he answered “no”. Martin kept saying he was “off” tonight. Yeah…he was off because Artem was tough and very strong and so were his punches.
    Artem's punches were the strongest Martin has ever felt so far in his career. Martin almost lost this fight because he wasn’t doing enough. He wasn’t doing enough simply because Artem was a lot tougher than he expected. Artem was tough, had speed and power and it caught Martin off guard and even confused him in a few rounds he did lose. His corner was right, Martin had to keep walking him down and stay busy with his punches. I say Martin wasn’t listening to his corner for a few rounds because he felt Artem's power and pressure. Pressure he hadn’t seen in previous fights. This was a great learning experience for Martin; letting him know that sometimes his speed and power is not going to be an enough to win a fight. Martin is going to have to dig a lot deeper within himself to win; as he did within the last 3 rounds of that fight. Martin’s defensive skills were on point but he took some good shots as well.
    This was a good fight with a game, worthy opponent for Martin and he fought a very good fight. I give Artem a great amount of respect because he came to fight and he brought it to Martin; but he also lost this fight in the last 5 rounds. He just wasn’t as busy as he was in the first half of the fight. He stopped pressuring Martin. Great fight though!!

      @drewthomasllc7429 Рік тому

      Artem was a solid performer and he has solid footwork and power… he would’ve beat Teo, Rolly, and gave Ryan Garcia problems too… I personally think Frank lost because he didn’t let his hands go enough… and that is a dimension of his game that his camp needs to improve on… nobody really comes aggressive at Derrick James fighters and when they do, they shell up and don’t throw… ie Charlo/Castano, ESJ/Porter.
      They are used to setting the pace and walking folks down…
      ESJ/Crawford will be epic because if Crawford isn’t aggressive enough it could get him hurt.

    My man Frank won: 4, 6, 10, 11, 12+1 = 6, and the other guy = 7. Frank Martin before this I thought he could beat 95% of the LWs he's an exceptional talent. He lost this fight. He lost 💯💯 and I love Frank man on God.

    Same way Jermell got the verdict over Castano and Spence got it over Porter. Once again Another Derrick James fighter overlooks their opponent and gets saved by the judges. This same guy was saying he stops Haney And Shakurs just because they arent "mean" in the ring smh. And before anybody says some shit like " styles make fights " he couldn't stop Rivera or Kielzewski either.

      Where you boys get this notion that a fighter isn't good if they don't knock everybody out??! Martin just fought 2 undefeated fighters back to back.... let's compare a lil bit to some of the greats:
      Floyd 54% ko ratio,
      Manny P 54% ko ratio,
      SRL 62.5% ko ratio,
      Tommy Hearns 71.6% ko ratio
      Frank got the win and that's what's important. He definitely got work to do... but Let these fighters develop man
