My personal headcanon is that the way the anomalies are removed is by placing a device in each room that activates once the anomaly gets reported. It emits some sort of magnetic pulse or sound frequency that repels/hurts the entities and makes them fly away from the room.
Maybe by repeatedly hurting them during the night, they figure out that the environment in the house is too hostile to inhabit and they leave
Great headcanon! It would also be cool if the device was also the camera itself
Or you could politely ask them to leave

And you have to use it sparsely, because that device consumes incredible amounts of fuel/energy.
In my headcanon when you report them a crewman just waltz into that room and repel the entities themselves. Ain't the best but it's mine.

god i want to play this game so bad, but i know i’d never make it past the title screen
i played it in call with friends and it released a lot of the tension but there were still some pretty bad scares

@@avreve idk i ran it on a old system of mine on a gtx 1070 ti im not sure its that demanding but ran it on 1080p medium and still looks kind of crispy

no. you can make as many false reports or reports in general and you can still win- or lose idrk
You don't lose for making wrong reports but reporting has a long cooldown and if you make wrong reports, anomalies can pile up and make you lose the game if you don't report the right ones.

just downloaded the game. lost twice, these alternates are unforgiving with how fast they show up lol. im sure ill get the hang of it soon though!

Mimic is duplicating objects, or trying to blend in like for a example lawnmower in a child room trying to blend in
