I have ALOT of music; - i've had favourites through the years i thought would never fade - but - - - i have been listening to this album and the Sjofn one - almost every day for 3 years when i go for drives on my bike. Last night - midnight - in a beautiful graveyard -looking up and the wind is wishing in feathery clouds among the sparkling stars . . . and this music - makes so much sense - It is that sky for sure.
please come back guys
Incredible!!! The drummer..
idgaf what anyone syas
this song is badass, and everyone is freakin incredible and its beautiful, and those drums are freakin amazing, and that electric didgeridoo that dude made out of garbage? freakin dope...and that beautiful woman singing so flawlessly in non-western scales and whistletone
its strange, yet familiar and the beat is forkin sick
huge fan
wish you guys were still making music like this
Indeed.
However AFAICT no didgeridoo here - the strange big wind instrument is a kind of 'sub contra-bass recorder'.
They used to use didgeridoo (and slidgeridoo) with the earlier line-up though.
love her voice...
This song is amazing, feels to be so ahead of it's time.
Definitely ahead. In my opinion the first album Ranarop was a good catchy folk, great on it's own, but whole Rimfaxe album is completely new direction, musically somewhere in future. It's a pity it was their last album, we can only imagine where they would have been today. But i still hope they will come back one day.
Ruotsini on dåligt joten tajua mitään sanoista,
Kappale on erinomaisen kaunis.
Beautiful song. I love it.
Great great Jenny. Fantastic singer band, was a great inspiration lead to my new programs. look for Alphorn & Nordic Winds paultaylororCHestra
Oh, desired goddess, bear my children. But don't stop singing...
AFAIK its a type of "Sub-Contra Bass Recorder".
The title, "Rimfaxe", is that a horse's name? I'm curious of what the song is about. Beautiful even without knowing.
Yes, in norse myhology Natt (means night) is a beautiful godess/giantess with raven black hair who travels across the sky in the night time. Rimfaxe is the horse pulling her wagon.
It's Old Norse, the predecessor to all modern nordic languages
awesome performers
that drummer has one intense mullet
awesome, still like the 1997 album Runarob the best, most worldly, but I am American, what do I know
its been a while
The Recorder is a "Paetzold by Kunath" Bass-Recorder. You can find more informations about these instruments at kunath.com
I was just going to ask what that instrument is called. Thank you for the information!
Get a real job.
Im desperately want to know what happened to this amazing band, can`t find any info about them, pls somebody help!
theyre taking a break, making babies and jamming elsewhere...
is this a guess or is there information about it somewhere?
@@ТренерДегтярёв from the source, I'm married to the singer. ;)
Wow... Do they planning to come back any soon?
That's been her intention, at some point.
Too awesome
