he's right I got a Shiba for my first dog for myself and I had to give it to my Grandfather who grew up on a farm trained and bred horses and bred boxers and mastiffs his whole life , he loved how different and smart the dog was he'd take the dog for a 4 mile walk everyday and it really hurt him when he had to put her down. I loved the dog as well but you couldn't give her a bone she'd get real aggressive and bite you but she'd warn you with growling before she did it and she had the sharpest teeth. they also have wanderlust , extremely fast in short burst can run over 30 mph. The intelligence on this dog was amazing though , I think they rank dogs on intelligence by obedience and trainability but the dog has to be just as smart as a poodle in its own divisive way. cool breed but if you don't have an active lifestyle and are willing to be very alpha with this breed its not for you.
I used to show Shiba's in AKC conformation for someone else. I did not breed shibas. The lines I was showing were very docile and sweet. They never acted like the ones in your videos. In fact, for years I bred African Basenji's and showed them in AKC, and compared to show lines Basenjis the shibas were much easier to deal with. I LOVE both breeds. I would never have or breed dogs that acted like the dogs in the video. I would have another well bred shiba as a companion in a heart beat.
