World Driver had so much potential. If only Boss Studios employed programmers who actually drove cars, had graphic design skills and had better taste in music.

@@commonsensei8719Good, but with the game engine Boss built it could've been the number 1 racing game in that whole console generation. The controls, music, car engine sounds, presentation were 3rd tier compared to the visuals.
@@overwatch761 Yeah thats true I never expected it to top Gran Turismo anyway, It came pretty close.
Tbf Boss Studios went above and beyond with what they were given. Budget was probably small (no license cars) and the N64's cart format was probably limiting the number of cars and tracks and music the game can have. Still if you compare WDC with other "realistic" racers on the N64, WDC is leagues above the others and comes the closest to the massively higher budget Gran Turismo.

F1 world grand prix if your a fan a grand tourismo or nfs with car customization this game offers a driver the pitstop for ride and performance tuning. Pitstop tuning is available before a race, and during a race a driver can tune their specs mid race for ride handling and gasoline, this game even offers both automatic transmission controls and a manual transmission controller setup, haven't looked too deep might even have steering wheel support still don't know
Destruction Derby 64 and Road Rash deserved a spot on here
F-Zero X is so damn awesome. I also love Wipeout 64, which doesn’t get enough love on UA-cam for some reason. 🤷♂️
Wave Race should have been at least number 2
Some of my all time favorite games on here. Played diddy kong, wave race, rush 2, and mario cart alot. Didnt play cruisn world but thought for sure cruisn usa would be there.

Beetle racing was actually made by the same developers as need for speed and was originally intended to be a need for speed game. I wish beetle never got involved, the games racing tracks are some of the best racing traco designs ever, it would of been alot nicer if the cars wasnt just beetle themed
yep, I also agree with you, for some reason the racing track in the Bettle racing game is really something, also the gameplay is very interesting for the size of an N64 game

Not sure if you guys know.. but in Australia we were also given HSV Adventure racing.. it's literally the exact same game.. but with Holden Special Vehicles instead of Beetles.
