- There are no words I can use to describe this video, you'll just have to watch it. We begin by drifting a 1 of 6 Mercedes CLK GTR AMG Roadster around a field, then take it for a crazy drive through the forest 'rally stage'. Worth over £2 million, the car is powered by a 612 bhp V12 engine and is capable of just under 200 mph and 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. It's rare enough to see one of these cars, let alone take it for a mad drive, so a massive thanks to the owner for this opportunity.

It's got the same drivetrain as the McLaren F1. So just listen to that car and picture the CLK. It's a damn shame Mercedes didn't mass produce these. It would have sold thousands.

I find it fascinating how the car still looks pretty contemporary on the outside yet its interior has the flair of a 90's taxi cab.
The gauges looks very similar to my 1985 e-class, which is fun to see.

Its a historic race car not a rally car. Its not sad to see people preserve history. It is sad to see them destroy it by misusing it.

@@blackdoveyt is not a race car, is a road car. the owner can afford to maintain it and repair if necessary. it's got 600hp, it's not made to sit still in a climate controlled garage.
This will forever be one of my favourite videos.
Deepest respect to the owner for actually having these machines do what they were built to - to drive, and drive hard - instead of locking them away in a climate-controlled showroom to be polished meticulously for the rest of their lives.
It would be like buying a Picasso and never looking at it again.

This is probably one of the easiest hypercars to repair... Mostly just 90s AMG parts, even down to the motor. Explains why the owner can hoon it around like that. Really lucky guy.
the chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque with aluminium honeycomb frame and mostly carbon fiber parts. not easy to repair.

@@racingrex3012 they do though. Even the old noble m400 had a bad turning circle despite been one of the best handling cars around back then. I'd imagine a car like an aventador would have horrendous turning circle
@@richboy900 the aventador is made to turn at 200mph so i think the handling is fine.
