6r4metroman, I grew up surrounded by corn fields in the Midwest. Not exactly Nantucket... But I was always drawn to sailing. So I bought a little Catalina 22. Old and dirty. I brought her home and cleaned her up. Knowing nothing I took her out and motored around the local lake. Trying not to run aground or hit anything. Totally green. But I felt like a captain! Proud of my vessel! A few days later I took her out with a real sailor. Just at sunset. Following his instructions I hoisted the main and shut off the motor. I was taken back at the power of the sail in a slight breeze. I was freaking out with a death grip on the tiller and trying to carry out orders this guy was barking. Pretty much lost. At some point I calmed down. The full sail and the feeling of the water rushing past the rudder. Telling me things
through the tiller and into my hand..I don't understand yet but my boat was talking to me. I had experienced her on a trailer. Wobbling around as I scrubbed her. In the water she was truly in her element. The keel began to make a strange hum as our speed increased. At first I thought we were breaking up but was told it was a good thing. Then it became comforting. We sailed maybe 40 minutes. And the season was over. Covid hit and I'm in nursing. Never got a day to do it again. But spring will come! And I dream of the sailing to come. Yeah I think I'm liking this sailing.

Hey Virgins, Can you make a video explaining and comparing the levels and types of sailing licenses RYA ICC, and what liberties they allow.
Kinda boring topic but would be useful.
    Love ya work
