TOM! I remember the last video you having a good old whinge about summer and harsh lighting and you weren't feeling it as much.. You're much more energised and zen like in this video! Those photos...what a beautiful foreboding feeling.. you nailed thr compositions in that beautiful, rugged landscape Amazing video, stunning shots!!
Thanks Pete I was definitely feeling it more on this outing. It was a really fun day out and I got a couple of images I really like. Thanks again my friend. All the best Tom.
I am amazed by how photographers can find spots of solitude with nobody around. Wherever I go, there’s ALWAYS people around, no matter what time of the day or day of the week. Thanks for the great images!
As I am writing this I am waiting for the digital images of my two rolls of film, Ilford FP4 and Delta 400 that I sent to the lab yesterday. Your FP4 images in this video look very nice to my, properly exposed and well composed so I am excited to see what I will get.
Thanks again for posting these great images, Tom. I like Rollei IR400 because it is a versatile film. You can shoot it as an IR film, or as 'normal' b&w. I hope that your recent heatwave didn't affect you too much. Here, in Melbourne, we are having our coldest winter since the 1940's. I hate to think what our summer will bring. If the UK can get temps of over 40 deg, I hope that we don't get 45 or higher!
Thanks David I particularly like the rollei film too it’s really versatile like you say. Luckily Uk heatwaves don’t last very long and we’re back to normal. I would try and enjoy the cold winter because like you say summer could be horrible if you get those sorts of temperatures. All the best Tom.
Lovely images, as always. Of the two shots with the three chimneys, I think the second composition is much stronger though. My other favorite is the one with the white building in the distance, framed between rocks in the foreground.
