Yes I started watching at wrestlemania. Roman reigns Tik tok videos of his run the previous year got me excited that he was still champion and I could experience myself a little of what this new era is. This last year has been a blast with all that said.
It's quite obvious Cena doesn't want to be forgotten for his contributions to the business. Don't worry Cena, no one except The Rock & maybe Roman Reigns are bigger stars than you today. You held down the company during it's worst time, and was one of the reasons that many ppl despised wwe in the late 2000's early 2010's.
Roman Reigns will never be bigger than John Cena because John has way more crucial matches than Roman and his mic skills are way better than Romans the rap skits alone demolish Roman

The Golden Era and the Attitude Era were legit, mainstream popular eras. People who weren't into wrestling knew about it. I'm not sure it has anywhere close to that sort of popularity today.
I'm honestly kind of surprised that wrestling survived the PG / PC era. I started watching in the attitude era, an stayed watching until about 2008 maybe 2009. Now granted, I haven't watched any 2024 wrestling, BESIDES the 30 minute deal with the rock last week. I couldn't believe they let him call the crowd Crack heads etc. Maybe they're trying to bring back some attitude/ ruthlessness. That'd be awesome.
I think them pushing more than just the bloodline has helped a ton. It's kinda irritaing knowing wwe has been blowing up again for awhile now yet everyone is acting like the rock is the sole reason for it blowing up. I think it was around november when it truly felt like wwe was big and cool again. Rock definitely helped but isn't the sole reason for it

They’ve created one of the greatest storylines ever with The Bloodline, Cody is quickly becoming this generations new hero and obviously with The Rock returning and playing a big role has made WWE top tier TV again. Those are the main reasons.

Yeah the contents was kinda meh but it was the only thing on and the only thing people look forward during staying at home.. whether it be AEW or WWE, it was the only thing on the tele and it got stuck with everyone once everything was back to normal..

Crazy, who knew having the main roster ACTUALLY headline Wrestlemania, ditching the "part-timer vs Roman Reigns" routine for the 7th time in a row, birthed new stars 🌟. Add in Logan Paul, Bad Bunny joining WWE, AEW's competition, and Vince finally leaving, it all seemed inevitable.

Next Cena in terms of work rate? Gunther.
In terms of star power and longevity? Either Gunther or Bron
@@freakysquirrel7218 you really comparing Gunther to Cena? Stop it now.
Ha.
@@freakysquirrel7218 I don't get why Montez Ford isn't a star yet. They really need to turn Bianca and him heel and go against Becky and Seth after mania. Book it trips.
Ha.
I adore the attitude era but realistically it was a promo era. We all loved the opening promos etc. matches on raw weekly were never over 5 mins mostly. The ppvs had the wrestling in attitude era. Ruthless aggression brought the ring action back weekly.
Wrestling is popular again?
I don’t see it.
In this echo chamber, it is.
John cena is a cool guy. But don’t stay over at his house 😂
Once I seen John Cena get beat up by Nexxus every week I stop watching then I’m went onto high school and forgot bout it once I graduated and had a kids I wanted to get them into the wwe like I once you to be now it popular than before
Wrestling is popular again😅?
Outside America you still get laughed at and bullied for even mentioning wwe's existence 😅 they got loads of work to do still before they fix their branding
Wrestling isn’t popular again. It’s been a joke for 20 years.
Yet here you are, watching and commenting on this recent video about wrestling
We all know why... 😂
This comment section is truly stupid and smells of IWC smarks
It’s so funny watching cena go from a fake battle rapper to a suit with a Conan O’Brien hairstyle 😂😂
Codyvengers
It is 12:37 pm, Mar 12 2024 in West Texas and John Xina still sucks! That's about all...
It’s popular again because cena is gone and the horrible supercena PG era is over too
It's popular because there's a fresher take to it compared to what it was for so long.
Money in the bank 2021
Cena got old, and now we no longer have to deal with shit matches.
Wrestling is popular. Cena still sucks
Ohhh man!!! Someone FINNALLLYYY said it!!! 🥺🥺🥺
Because AEW forced WWE to get good again
He's lying. He took ideas from other people who came up with them and used them for himself
Hope he doesn't come back & ruin it again...
Wrestling is popular again because of HHH…full stop‼️
Because there isn’t an 80 year old dementia riddled sexual predator writing the show to make himself laugh
Agreed, AEW is really killing it. Thank God we have alternatives now.
2013-2017🚮🗑️ style 🤌🏾 and a few others
AEW WWE
NJPW
ROH TNA
CMLL
Funny how it's popular again now that Cena is gone. Good.
For me personally I think WWE is popular again, AEW not so much
The IWC nerds hate giving credit to the great one. No one was tuning in to watch boring Cody Rhodes. This is the result of the rock. #THANKYOUROCKY
yes they were lmfao
WWE in 2023 did their best attendance since 2001. With Cody as the top face.
