Rich Rod burned that bridge by the way he left. The week of the Pitt game, there wasn't a coach to be found in the Facilities Building. He didn't prepare for the Pitt game because he was too busy trying to get a big Michigan contract. I'm not convinced Rodriguez even tried to win against Pitt. Slaton had 7 carries, but breaks one for a touchdown if you gave him 20 carries. Devine had 7 carries, but goes for a TD if he has 20 carries. Owen Schmitt had 2 carries, but his brutal running would have revealed the weakness to the middle of the Pitt defense, and wore them out, if he got 15 carries. Instead, Pitt blew up ALL of Rich's predictable bubble screens on the outside. In fact, Wannstedt had figured out Rich's offense better than he did the offense of Bill Stewart. I'd support Rich if he was rehired, but I hope he isn't.

Dave wanstat being a defensive coordinator went to school with that info and they shut WV down. They were in our backfield more than we were. They knew exactly what we were going to do or counter it. We win that game and it’s hard for Rich to go to Michigan after winning a national title. That’s the way I saw it…just sayin! Why give them the play book like that?🤯
