    Nice machine. That tree that broke must have been pretty big that two trees didn't fit👍

    Buncher cutting in front is much faster all the way around ... most definitely Pays for it self

      I think so. I like it way better just need to update the forwarder now

    How much cost do you think it adds to the job cutting with the buncher with the extra float cost and all?

      I'm not a 100 percent sure, but its definitely not that bad considering the gain in production

    What do you do with all that hemlock and random trashy wood? I assume most of that gets chipped or tree length delivered for biomass?

    • @pine8806
      @pine8806  4 роки тому

      Hemlock logs don't pay much, most of it goes to the paper mills.

      Yeh, figured that was the case. I’ve got two wood lots and my own skidder and I can’t afford to cut the stuff. Worse of course by hand but branches every 4” makes for a lot of time and labor into a wheeler load that’s nearly worthless after trucking. I’ve got a few nice stands of cannon barrel hemlock I’m saving for a barn someday but otherwise I’d be happy to exterminate every stem of it from my property..

      Yes definitely a lot of work. A little easier for us with our equipment for sure.
