    This video reminds me of a video about " the Bemani" that i once saw. The Bemani is one of the many ships that sail on the river Congo . In this particular video, it took the Bemani one month to set sail after people had already paid their money. Imagine!

    "A Trip From Hell" lol 🤣🤣😂
    This sounds like an adventurous trip...
    Some companies needs to be called off like this so they can improve their services. It's embarrassing when you treat a customer like trash. Imagine if you were just a tourist travelling, you will never recommend anyone to visit Congo.
    But overall, it's a memory that you will live with forever.
    Keep it up soeur kitoko. I can't wait for more of your videos 👌🏾

    Great story, glad you had a happy end to your trip. Which of the two transport companies from the video is more common in Kinshasa?

      Yes!!! Thank God the end was not bad at all. Macon is definitely the most common based on what people told me.

    8:54 Religious people in Congo are such con men or victime of 'em. May be funny at first when you notice it, but that's a huge problem for the evolution and thriving of the country...

    I don't know what I'm listening to your story it's like you're a tourist who don't understand the country. First off the two guys that approached you I don't know if they work for the company or just go between men but I wouldn't necessarily put that on any company anywhere in the world. As far as the departure time I was under the impression that's how a lot of transportation in Africa worked that they wouldn't leave until they got a full load which makes economic sense. You can't keep people to a schedule comparing it to what you're used to or anything else when it's economically not feasible for them to operate on that schedule. This is another poison we get from the West cuz we don't recognize our situation and we judge it based upon God knows what service criteria we think we are entitled to. That idea that just because I pay I'm entitled to a certain this and that is so privileged that it reeks of I don't know what. To be honest I stopped listening after that because you had a bad day and you were feeling some type of way which is understandable. I'm very interested in the Congo but I'm not interested in hearing this type of content cuz I get that from every other person that comes from the west and goes back to Africa complaining about how it doesn't meet some type of standard they have in their mind. I actually thought listening to a person that's from the country I would get a different point of view but that's not so. You see how that shoe fits when I'm spending my time watching them clip I expect a certain service you see how arrogant that sounds and just like if I'm paying my money I expect someone else to act the way I think they should act. It's just like in life I can't expect anyone to act a certain way all I can do is choose not to be a part of it

    • @CongoTalks243
      @CongoTalks243  2 роки тому +4

      It’s not arrogant to expect to be served the service I paid for and that the company promised to deliver. It’s not about Africa or the west, it’s about customer service and that can be good or bad both in Africa and in the west. I was not a tourist, I’m Congolese and I should not be expected to accept mediocrity just because I’m Congolese or African. If this is not what you want to listen to then the door is wide open. You may exit. There is more to come. Peace :)

      @@CongoTalks243 the fact that you don't even realize it is about the West you have been colonized with a foreigners religion with a foreigners value system with a foreigners government with a Foreigner's diet and that is in direct conflict with the indigenous spirit. And for Doom we are taught that if you do something for someone it is a blessing because they allowed you the opportunity to develop good character. In the west we are conditionally if we do good to someone they're supposed to respond and an appreciative manner. Thus we have the idea if I pay for something someone should give me some type of service and respect. They don't owe you that no one owes you that. The only thing you could do is choose not to be a part of that but they do not owe you that. It's kind of like I cannot tell someone to love me and get mad at them for not loving you the way I told them I should be loved. I have no idea what they went through what they're going through that day what that person's history is ETC. But since you think nothing has to do with the worldviews. It makes me wonder what image are you trying to change about the Congo since it's not about the West lmao anyway I'm glad I found that out early so I wish you well peace

      @@christianjianccThe goal of this channel isn’t to ”change“ the narrative. The goal is to explore Congo in its AUTHENTIC form (history, culture and lifestyle). I understand that this is not for everyone, so I don’t force anybody to stay here. There are many channels changing the narrative, go to them. :)
