Great video, thanks. My Element HM is arriving Monday and I've got the same fears about switching from a wrist-strap trigger release. Very helpful.

Steve MacLean After using the release for a few weeks, I can honestly say it has made a huge difference to the way I shoot and I have grown more and more confident with it. I am sure you will like yours!!

I've only recently come across this vid, how are things with the Element? Have your scores/form improved? Do you think you'll stick to this type of release?

All I shoot is stan thumb releases. And I now have the stan perfix heavy metal resistance on order. I have the same fear as you did. Because I've punched myself in the mouth before and it does hurt be time. And now you must have used for some What is your thoughts on the resistance release?

Hey Charl, what are your thoughts about the shibuya sight? Is it better than the other brands out there?

being that hoyt uses cable stops (i hunt and have an rx1 ultra) the back wall is naturally a little bit squishy. You look comfortable on you first shots but as you have probably used it more by now do you find that when you let off the safety that you are holding a variable amount of pressure and because of that have to hold on target longer? what i mean is when you let off the safety are you sometimes pulling at 5 lbs against the wall and other times you are pulling at 12lbs. of course this doesn't affect when the release fires but i feel like it could create some inconsistency at least until you are used to it

I get what you mean. I do have the odd shot here and there where the arrow will do something unexpected and I think it is a combination of what you are saying and the high letoff that the bow has. I would like to see if I can get a different letoff module for it at some stage.

Hello Carl! How satisfied are you with the release? I am thinking about buying one also. How much time you needed to satle and become confort for use it for you? I hope you did punched yourself into face :D . Sincerelly David

      Hi David!
It took me about one day of playing with the release to get comfortable with it and as a training tool I would say it is fantastic! Definitely recommended to at least give it a try if you have the opportunity. And I have not punched myself with it yet!

Great. My last questiuon is that which size are you using? I see that there is Trio Mediu, Trio Large, Quadro Medium, Quadro Large. You are using large or medium?

Hello Charl. I have an SX3 but I lost my trainer lock pin. Can you please tell me what is the thread size on that lock pin? I don't really want to order a new extra one so I'm thinking to replace it with a small bolt which has the same thread size.

As near as I can tell it is a 4NC40 thread. But the pin is really cheap from Lancaster Archery.

take the release to a hardware store and try various small bolts, when you find the one that fits buy it and use that as your lock pin, thats what i did lol

Yvan Tomac After using this release aid exclusively for a few weeks, I can honestly say it is the best release aid I have used as far as forcing yourself to do things properly is concerned!
