    Why the high visibility vest?
    Apart from that your video was very interesting, thank you.

    I find this fascinating . Your demonstration of the three arch bridge , reminds me of something that I have wondered about all my life. Near were I live is a medieval bridge built in1490 . Which is still in use today, there are 6 arches ,. Upstream of each , is a stone ship shaped like extension . Presumable to protect each arch from debris such as large tree trunks that sometimes come down on a flood . And to divide the water as it goes through each arch . But the interesting thing is there is a similar shaped structure on the down stream side of each arch . Is this to stop the water washing out the foundations of the bridge , by smoothing the flow or is it for some other reason?

      interesting, in regensburg where i lived there is a similarly build bridge, it was made in the 12th century and i too always wondered why it was built that way.

      ua-cam.com/video/m_ZLyzByj98/v-deo.html They have another video that shows a bridge peir in action. Your hypothesis is correct. It's the same principle as the angled weir to try to reduce the WAS level and scouring.

    The way the water flows over a weir is oddly mesmerizing.

    Putting that dam at an angle did basically nothing. She only drew the line a bit lower lol.

    • @mr.imtrying5174
      @mr.imtrying5174 3 роки тому +1

      I agree but this if for big scale, it would take longer for the water to get to the point of being a problem

    Зачем нужны "первые" заграждения? Если вы хотите меньше поднять уровень воды перед заграждением, разве не проще просто сделать его ниже????
