I see you now smiling at her at the exact moment she is smiling, and i feel then how much i would have liked to have a little sister like her. Finally, her repertoire being made in great part of songs from the 1930s to the 1980s creates a bond between her as a child and the baby boomers and constitutes another factor of her growing celebrity in the world. All those tempo alterations in this song is one of the key factors that makes it touch your hart. Replay and lok at the interaction between the two people on stage. Notice how much attention the guitarist is devoting to Angelina's tempo ques in her rubatos, and how she glances over her shoulder to catch a glimpse of his rhythmic swaying of the guitar to make sure they are both on the same page. When musicians sway and dance on the stage, it's not just to give a show for the audience, or because the music makes them wanna dance, it's also, and maybe most important, a way to give each other visual ques about their intention. This guitarist is doing a great job. I havn't managed to find out who he is, but he also deserves an applaud.

Same thing with a good 4-piece jazz band,, she communicates with subtle cues & they follow her like little puppy dogs. Backing tape performances are too restricting for her genius & her live performances in front of an audience, just brings her to another level. Also in this performance the sound & video is done by professionals, not Mom or Grandma in their living room.

I don't want to criticize those private videos from grandma Mery and all the fantastic recordings made by Boris, I absolutely love them, but the professional recordings brings it to another level, and this production in particular. I think this live TV production should have been given whatever prize there is in this business to give to such perfection. Angelina loves singing, and she loves sharing her music with other people, and when she knows there are people listening to her *_right now_*_ as she's singing_ she gets an extra kick out of it an she feels more inspired to do her absolute best. You don't get to do re-takes on a live performance so it better be good when You deliver it
Not sure who sang this first but Ella Fitzgerald had a massive hit with it. I was lucky enough to actually see Ella sing this at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in Soho way back in the early 60's so when I watched this angel do this I actually cried with joy.
