I just finished up the Soon Jung Relief Toner and I wanted to try something new. I have combo skin but winter is coming and my skin tends to get dehydrated. Kelly you always have the best recommendations for dehydrated skin! I watched your most recent "empties" video and decided to try the Make Prem toner and OMG! It is EVERYTHING you describe in this video! It took me by surprise because it is so watery, yet when I put it on my skin it really burst hydration into my skin! I've been using it for about a week now and it's my new favorite! I also really enjoy the Cosrx Pure Fit Cica toner, especially when my skin is feeling sensitive.
I was JUST looking for a comparison between the Make Prem and the Dokdo toner!! I’m still excited to try the Dokdo someday but wow I agree with everything you said about the make prem for my dehydrated skin 🤗 thank you, great video!
OMG Make prem is officially my one true love , i get so excited and happy using this toner , and if i'm running out and the next shipment doesn't comes in i use it rarely , this toner is something that i can't live without , when it's on sale i order it so so much make prem is a special hidden gem
I've been using the haruharu hyaluronic toner because I wanted to add that hydration layer. But it broke me out! I quit using it and the pimples cleared up, brought it back a few weeks later and broke out again. Good to know there's an even better option out there :)
@@nehat9377 yep, it’s probably the fermented ingredients. Try basic toners like the propolis COSRX one or the isntree hyaluronic acid. They do the same thing but are good for sensitive skin☺️
Kellyyyyyyy! I ordered the Make P:rem toner for my dehydrated dry skin and, omgggggg!! Full fat water! :). It has literally made such a huge difference from the first application! Just placed my order for 2 more bottles to be sure I am not without. Thank you SO much for raving about this in so many videos! ❤
Thanks Kelly, i've not gotten into peptides as yet but for the toners I agree with you 100% I use the Make Prem one as soon as i get out of the shower, then i brush my teeth, if i don't apply toner right away my face feels tight. During this time my skin is happy for at least 20mins before i have to apply serums and moisturizer. By the way i don't use cotton to apply it, just shake it over my face and pat it in, just let it drip to the neck don't worry lol! I also use the Round Lab but not necessarily to moisturise but rather i found it seriously keeps away congestion! The main source of keeping away my congestion and small acne/sebaceous fillaments is the Peach Slices Salicylic toner, but since i can only handle it 3- 4 times a week, the Round Lab one swoops in and actually helps! Super dooper mild exfoliation but impactful over long term. Thanks :)
Love this type of vid to get the nitty gritty! I was awaiting ur round lab/make Prem decision- I have to say round lab wins for me because I just love that more watery refreshing hydrating feel over the very slightly more thick make Prem. Consequently the round lab has been in my life for longer! Maybe we’re creatures of familiarity, but either product like you said is very wonderful. PS check out the dokdo cream, I think you would LOVE IT! Thick and dense medium weight cream not shiny on top plus the amazing seaweed and ceramides!
I like the Round Lab and Make Prem equally, previously using Round Lab’s and now Make Prem. Can’t decide which one is actually better in performance but just like you said, I appreciate Make Prem a bit more since it has ceramides in it which is a big plus for me and my skin barrier. However, Round Lab is less expensive and more accessible for me to get it through local online platform. It also has jumbo size for 500ml (if I’m not mistaken). So I guess I’ll have to stick with Round Lab until I find a better toner with ceramides in it. Thank you for the reviews btw!!!
Thanks Kelly; your Toner reviews are the best! I just finished up my second bottle of Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Toner and am using Thank You Farmer Rice Toner until I receive the Round Lab Dokdo from Olive Young.
Fantastic video and information. You're my go to for skin product recommendations. I have very dry skin that craves extra deep hydration. I've bought alot of the products you have tested out and recommended. My skin has improved drastically and I thank you so much. I'm ordering all the winners. Thank you for all of your hard work and time that goes into all of your videos.
I love the This or That videos! I tried the Make Prem but it just felt like water on my skin without any hydration. It just goes to show that products react differently on each skin. I'm using Numbuzin #3 and that helps the hydration a lot.
@@bonnechancecc6568 how would you compare the numbuzin toner vs serum ??if you have to choose one ?which one would you like better and why..?thanks in advance
Great video! I have oily acne prone sensitive skin. I absolutely love the cos de Baha peptide toner especially because of the price point. I use it at night after my centella toner. Then I layer the ordinary Buffet copper peptide serum into the peptide toner, lastly the inkey list Q10 serum, and finish off with my night time moisturizer. My skin looks amazing, plump, hydrated and not irritated.
@@KellyDriscoll thanks! I'm so glad I discovered this combination. My skin is so sensitive that the ordinary buffet with copper peptides was irritating it by itself. This way I get the benefits of the copper, the peptides, with the soothing properties of centella and the CoQ10 antioxidants.
Have you tried Ghost Democracy peptide-packed dewy toning mist? I've been eyeing if for some time, it has 2.6% peptide blend, but i wonder if it is hydrating enough
rewatching this video made me wonder how and when you would use different types of toner, eg watery toner (make p:rem, dokdo) vs plumping toner (vegreen, haruharu) vs milky toner (purito oat-in, isntree yam milk). would they be used together (like the sandwich method with somethings like make prem and vegreen), switched depending on the needs (isntree yam in the winter instead of make p:rem for example),... would a plumping toner be used on its own? lots of meanderings
I am using ThriveCo's toner, it contains Hesperidin's, its anti-inflammatory property removes pore-clogging residue and minimizes the size of stubborn wide-open pores.
I wanted to thank you because I would have not bought the e:prem toner without your recommendation. Not a lot youtubers seem to talk about it. I am trying out a few toners but realized I like thick water - essence like toners that hydrate and sooth while penetrating deep into the skin (sensitive, oily, dehydrated skin). The prem one is exactly that and the added ceramide makes it special. I am currently torn between this one, haru haru wonder and dokdo although I must say I just enjoy thick water texture more than thin watery texture like the dokdo has but I will test it out more. Also curious about the vegreen in comparison to haru haru.

Great video, happy to find it. :) it made me in doubt between the winners: Vegreen or MakePrem? I’m starting retinol and wish to boost hydration and soothe my dry sensitive skin - purging now. Anyone has a recommendation? Thank you!
Either would be great, I like make prem because of the large size, if you use multiple layers of toner a day the make prem will be a good value because it lasts longer! If you only use 1 layer in a routine then vegreen can't be beat for price!
Thank u so much for answering Kelly! ❤ I’m very new to skincare and doing my first K-beauty purchase, binging ur videos for it! :) I’m now in doubt between Isntree Yam, Vegreen and Cosrx 96 Snail toners tbh. 😄 What makes me navigate to mucins is that I feel I need the healing/repairing property they offer (acne, dry patches/ flaky, rosacea, irregularities due to histamin intolerance) and I hope I can use them around my eyes as well before choosing an eye cream (maybe the rnw serum as well although I suspect the niacinamide sting my eyes from Cerave PM experience, have to try out). I also feel more conscious free w the vegan options but doubt if the strength of the properties equal… would love a this or that between them, haven’t found on internet up to now. Thank you again for your informative good vibes honest videos. ❤
I love one ingredient extracts or essences as toners. I’m currently using the mixoon panax ginseng extract which was quite expensive but I have to try everything with ginseng. It’s not the miracle product I was hoping for the price but it is ok especially for the colder months since unlike most other single ingredient extracts leaves a very slight layer on top of the skin. I won’t buy again because of the price but it is still more exiting than the dokdo toner which I was using before. I find that quite boring.
Did dokto toner got reformulated? Because i remember back when it first came out and i tried it, my skin barrier was compromised because i didn't notice the willow bark extract/betaine salicylate (i don't remember which one) in the toner and was using it twice a day.
I managed to grab 2 bottles of the make prem toner for £15 and the lowest I’ve seen it on Stylevana is about £14, and that was down from the original price they had that was £27 😭 so they definitely do drop the price every now and then, just gotta wait for those sales 😂
One quick question 😊. Can all these toners be used at night with TO 1% retinol in squalene? Thanks so much for this video. I was exactly what I've been looking for ❤️
