awesome catches man. I live in jersey and i was wondering what beaches you go to bc i have a shore house as well so i would love to know whre you guys go.
Great video Money... Just started trying this the past 2 years but havent been fortunate enough to land any very large shark... Do you guys just pick beaches at random and fish or is there something you look for when fishing a beach for them?. Also , are you yakking baits out.... cause I dont have a yak and was hoping that wouldnt limit my success with larger sharks like these?
+Fishy Chris We dont yak baits out, we select our spot based directly on deep water. Look for cuts in the sandbar or anywhere you can find a hole or deep spot and you'll find em. The deeper the water the bigger the shark....
Wanted to try my hand at shark fishing but I read that it was illegal to land majority of the sharks that I would be catching. Is this true? Is there a time when its not illegal? Just wanted to know more info to avoid problems.
The definition of "landing" sharks is vague and unclear and is more along the lines of taking out of the water with intent to harvest, and also directed toward boat fishing. Pulling a shark on to the beach to take the hook out is just about 100% legal, just dont kill the shark or leave it out of the water any longer than it needs to be and youre within NJ regulation. DE and VA are more strict, where you have to unhook the shark in the water and keep it there the whole time, not allowed to pull up on to the beach for a pic in those states.
With that being said have you ever been stopped and spoken to by a Conservation Officer? Shark fishing looks fun but I just don't want to get a citation for it.
Ryan Gill who says that you fishing for them?? Hook it, land it, out it back.. you can always choose what you hook and just be careful not to kill them.
This reminds me of when I was sharkin' and I caught the same sandbar twice. In OC MD it's hard to get those giant bunker so we use massive live mullet. They seem to work just as good.
+Yeah puss thanks man I think I had on a 10/0 circle hook here. 10/0 or 11/0 is the way to go.. I like the circles but guys do just as well with the J's. The rays fight crazy :P drag zippin!
I'm looking to take a trip in the next 2 weeks or so to somewhere I can catch sharks from the beach in jersey Want to get my daughter tied to her first shark. I know everyone guards good spots and I dont expect anyone to call out a spot on here, but if someone would be willing to give me a good spot , I would be willing to take them on a flathead trip on the lower suskie. I put big flatheads in the boat on the regular. Anyone?
I love the efficiency Chris. Methodical and surgical. I enjoy watching someone who knows what they are doing.
The camera shot at 8:18 is the best. That's what its all about right there.
Was out two days in cape may met a guy who caught 25 sharks this month... Loads of shark in New Jersey
"AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!" At 13:00 - One handing a shark against the water pulling back out with another on the line. Fuckin' EPIC
+Matt Hampel Haha I had to summon all my strength to pull that one off HAHA

Always great vids, Bud. Thanks for sharing and have a good summer!
Can you make a video going over the rig and line and rod you use

What rod and reel set up is this? Also what pound line are you using? I fish at LBI all the time but ive never gone for sharks and I'd love to start
