Did the trip few years ago in August (mainseason) . Oh man, it was ultrapacked. Had to stay over hours in line for a view from Marienbrücke or to get in the Castle. But conclusion, it worth it.
I went there as a teenager with my grandparents. Fell into a lake and my shoes got soaked the day before so I went into the castle in my slippers. That was special :D

What a fantastic video! It was like a top-rated travel show. It had everything. Breathtaking scenery, a fairy-tale castle, gorgeous Spätzle and Schnitzel, and an amazing waterfall to finish. The cable car ride was mind-blowing, and to see so much snow at the higher levels reminded me of a road trip I took from Italy over the Alps into Austria in the height of summer. Boiling hot weather at the foot of the mountains and snow drifts at the top. More of the same, please! You're good at this.
The smiles say it all. Welcome to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Hope you get to explore more of Bavaria (as well as the other parts of Germany).
Seeing how happy you are, always makes me very happy. You are so nice people that you can just be happy with. Only the best wishes for you and your little sunshine.
So funny! We were there exactly one week after you. We stayed in Schwangau and our hotel rooms had a direct view of the castle. My kids enjoyed seeing Neuschwanstein. For me, it was my second time. The first time was 24 years ago, my first time in Germany. Who knew back them, that just three years later, I move here and 21 years later still be here. Amazing that just a week later, so much of the snow up top had melted away. We did not have to have tests for the Bahn ride the next week. Oh I LOVE Quarkbällchen! My favorite! I’m so glad you had/are having such a great mini trip.

Another one of Ludwigs castle is "Schloss Linderhof" in Ettal, Ettal although has an old Benedictiner Cloister and it's not far away from Oberammergau a nice little town with unique painted houses called "Lüftlmalerei". I was there last summer and I loved it, too! Sadly the bridge was way too overcrowded so I couldn't see the castle from up there. And I looooved how blue the water was!!
We were on a holiday on a camping-space at lake Bannwaldsee some years ago. It was such a breathtaking scenery when you breakfast in front of your tent and look on the mountains and Neuschwanstein-castle. I have to say that from the King Ludwig castles I enjoyed the most the Linderhof castle. On the Tegelberg you maybe noticed the wooden ramp. When there is good weather paragliders are running down this ramp. It really impressed me, I would never ever be able to jump from this small wooden thing.

Füssen was already an important base in the Roman Empire. The city lies on the Roman road "Via Claudia Augusta". The street was the connection between the proviz capital of "Raetia", "Augusta Vindelicorum" (Augsburg) and "Tridentum" (Trento) in northern Italy. Your best video so far. I found myself smiling the whole time. Your joy is just so contagious. You managed to take some amazing shots of the scenery as well. I remember when my son discovered Käsespätzle at a restaurant and learned that there could be food that's better than french fries, blew his mind. 😁
You three are such a sweet family together. Please keep your sense of wonder and fascination. Whoever shoots those videos has an amazing eye for special shots. I loved the shot at 5:03. The angle between the roof gables with the sprouting tower behind it, just in the center, the colors in the fading light, the scenery. Nice! Aaaawwwww, Willa is such an angel when she is sleeping. Käsespätzle, the Swabian dish, that is the epitome of what Mac'n'cheese attempts to be when it grows up. 😁😘 But Käsespätzle is not a light meal; if you ate that whole plate, then I could almost guarantee that you'd need a power nap. Absolutely awesome but a real stomach filler.
This is such a nice comment to read!! Thank you for writing it out & giving us a smile!! 💛 We are happy you enjoyed the video & we agree about Willa sleeping!
Glad you are enjoying our beautiful country... there is so much to see, but every memory is for you to keep forever.... I am glad to live in Europe, the peace and freedom here is hard to beat 🥰
At 11:13, under the sloping roof, you can see the bathhouse of a Roman villa. The Tegelberg is also a deadly mountain. Every year around 5 people die in accidents while paragliding. There are also several fatal accidents involving tourists wearing the wrong shoes while hiking.
Beautiful, clean, well-kept countryside and town of Füssen - and getting to try Käsespärzle 😋😍😋 Living the life! Thanks so much for sharing the video, and I will pretend we are sharing the food 😁

Tolles Video! Und sehr gut gefilmt! 👍😀 I enjoy watching you explore my home country. Bavaria is really beautiful. For me it's also a touristic destination and years ago that I was there. So I like to see the enthusiasm with which you discover everything there, the landscape, the architecture, the food, like Sara and Kevin with their 4 kids who also moved to Bavaria in February. Now I can see Bavaria through your eyes. And develop a desire to travel there myself. But this year it will be North Sea, Baltic Sea and Hessia instead...
The Alps are my happy place, my parents have always taken us hiking with us complaining a lot. However being in our twenties now my brother and I try to squeeze in a longer hike (a couple of days) every year (jokes on us I guess). I am sure you will never get tired going there it is just a great place to relax and unwind. Also if you are planning more hikes with Willa maybe a hiking baby carrier might be a good investment ( I am sure you can also buy them second hand), I read that they are especially helpful with children who are slowly outgrowing the normal baby carrier. Edit: something I really love about hiking is how nice people are on the trails. It is actually quite common to greet others when passing by with a simple „Servus“ or „Grüß Gott“ 🤩
Such a funny story! How fun you do a multi day hikes! Yes we have talked about looking into one so thanks for the reminder!! 😊 Love the atmosphere hiking & being outdoors! 💛

Funny thing about Forgensee - in Winter there is no water. Its a reservoir for the Lech River. There where some reperations one year, where we walked to the middle of the lake. Its one of our favorite areas to go, and we are within one houre there :)
Its just so crazy that you can find so many different landscapes in Germany even if its not so big like the US or something. I really enjoy it to have the opportunity to drive about 5-8 hours to see Mountains, snow, green landscapes and great views. In bigger Countrys this should be a "problem" because of the longer distances to travel. Just imagine, i am living in Berlin and if you want to visit another country it only takes you about 5-10 hours with car. And we have like so many Countries next to us :D Weekend Trip to France for example = 8 Hour drive. Weekend trip to Poland only 1 Hour from Berlin etc etc. The opportunity you have are just amazing. I am greatfull to this kind of work life balance germany giving us to enjoy life. Great videos. Keep it up. Happy that you are found your place :)

I remember when my son discovered Käsespätzle at a restaurant and learned that there could be food that's better than french fries, blew his mind. 😁
What a beautiful Family you are,all the best from a Bavarian in Western Canada
You three are such a sweet family together. Please keep your sense of wonder and fascination.
Whoever shoots those videos has an amazing eye for special shots.
I loved the shot at 5:03. The angle between the roof gables with the sprouting tower behind it, just in the center, the colors in the fading light, the scenery.
Nice!
Aaaawwwww, Willa is such an angel when she is sleeping.
Käsespätzle, the Swabian dish, that is the epitome of what Mac'n'cheese attempts to be when it grows up. 😁😘
But Käsespätzle is not a light meal; if you ate that whole plate, then I could almost guarantee that you'd need a power nap.
Absolutely awesome but a real stomach filler.
This is such a nice comment to read!! Thank you for writing it out & giving us a smile!! 💛 We are happy you enjoyed the video & we agree about Willa sleeping!
Ihr drei wirkt so glücklich.. Wünsch euch nur schöne Momente!!
Beautiful! You guys are so brave to walk into that ice cold water. Willa is such a little trooper!
I love watching you three enjoying all the food 🥰 We should learn to appreciate our traditional food again (traditional and Döner of course 🥙) ☺️
thank you for taking us on your exciting journey through germany❤️
Glad you are enjoying our beautiful country... there is so much to see, but every memory is for you to keep forever.... I am glad to live in Europe, the peace and freedom here is hard to beat 🥰
Enjoyed your video while having breakfast. Perfect length for that. It's so fun to see you explore Germany. 😊
Glad it’s worthy to watch during a mealtime!! 😊
We are planing to go there in August in our holiday , after this Video more excited 😊. Yay we are coming ……
At 11:13, under the sloping roof, you can see the bathhouse of a Roman villa. The Tegelberg is also a deadly mountain. Every year around 5 people die in accidents while paragliding. There are also several fatal accidents involving tourists wearing the wrong shoes while hiking.
Wow, das war super schön gefilmt, auch mit der Musik und allem. Ein Kompliment für die Kameraführung und Videobearbeitung!
Beautiful, clean, well-kept countryside and town of Füssen - and getting to try Käsespärzle 😋😍😋 Living the life! Thanks so much for sharing the video, and I will pretend we are sharing the food 😁
What a nice Video ! Sooooooo nice to See you Guys exploring our beautiful Country 😉😉
You are so fantastic and very nice people, all 3 of you, so easy going, soooo relaxed , very nice, keep up the good (video) work.
Echt tolles Video. Die Musik ist grandios!!! Und jaaaaaa! Ihr wart wirklich glücklich, dass ihr Neuschwanstein ohne die anderen 100.000 Touristen zu sehen konntet. Please keep enjoying Germany the way you do. :-)
Just beautiful.
Love watching you guys! My favorite UA-cam family 🤍🤍 so happy to see you guys having so much fun over seas!
If you enjoyed your first trip to the Bavarian Alps, you're in for a lot more great and iconic sceneries along Deutsche Alpenstraße down to Königssee and Berchtesgaden. Looking forward to accompany you in exploring Southern Germany and the neighbouring countries this summer. Thanks for making these great videos and sharing them.
We lived not far away from there - and the first time we visited Schloss Neuschwanstein was together with 2 friends from the US ! We had Käsespätzle, too - it's the best!
Greetings from the germans in virginia! Rick and Tamara
I have been watching your videos for a while and I love them 😍
My wife and I were in Füssen just a month ago. This street you walked was just packed in the daytime.
How fun you guys visited! Such a beautiful area!
Nice video. Thanks.
I lived in Kaufbeuren for a year a long time ago. Was with the Luftwaffe training school.
I know the area well and loved every minute being there. Fantastic views. Thanks again for this guys!
Love the atmosphere hiking & being outdoors! 💛
@@OurStorytoTell If you go on a multi day hike in the Alps, consider DAV membership. On average 3-4 overnight stays per year at mountain hutts make your money worth it at the membership fee. Also insurance.😇
Hey guys, I really enjoy watching ur videos. I'm German, I'm from Düsseldorf (North rhine westfalia) but I've been to bavaria a couple of times and it is always amazing. The scenery, the nature, all the amazing lakes 😍
Keep these videos coming end enjoy your life here. Love from Düsseldorf
Aww thank you Jenny!! It really is amazing! 😍
🏰🚠Thanks a lot for this wonderful trip!- ...been there myself ages ago...and always enjoy people's (shared) adventures these days! Cheers, Marian
Very happy for you that you had such a lovely and enjoyable outing! Wishing you many more to come! Enjoy!
So beautiful, I really do hope to move to Deutschland eines Tages
whats holdin you back?
@@takaetono6773 Not sure yet how feasible it would be to move and find a job in Germany to qualify for the residency permit and stay there🤷♂️
It would be a different story, I think, if I studied or worked in a high demand industry like technology, engineering, or medicine. But I only have a political science degree. Maybe obtaining my masters in Germany would open some doors, but I'm still looking at all my options :)
For now, moving there is a dream

Sorry... We don't like US citizens in Germany speacially the bavarians 😂
Just kidding. All of u are welcome... expect Donald and his Ducktales
man, never went there because of the masses of people beeing there normally....feel blessed, to get a chance to visit at this times...and hey, i really enjoy your videos and make me apreciate germany as my home country a bit more...you forget how beautiful and peaceful it is from time to time...thx
I'd never heard of a sour cream bundt cake but since I'm a fan of quarkbaellchen I know I'd love it. Seems you found the best ones in Germany, and the best Kaesespaetzle too.
Bellissimo..un saluto da Monaco di Baviera ❤👍
Years ago, we visited Neuschwanstein Castle. It was bezaubernd! On our way out, my husband needed to visit the restroom. When he came back out, he was just gob smacked. He said, he had the most beautiful view out of a picture window in the men's room. Lol!
100% agree!! It’s so amazing! Thank you! 😊
Love love love! Thank you so much…although….I am now incredibly homesick!
Morning is perfect to visit Neuschwanstein (as you saw and nailed it) The sun rises and hits the castle perfectly. If you are into marathons, Füssen has a marathon that runs all throughout that area. I never made it but was on my bucket list. Love your enthusiasm. Trying to figure out how to do this with my wife and our 2yo. Italy or Prague. I'm sure it was suggested and your travels will probably take you there, make sure you check out Garmisch (and surrounding areas) and Berchtesgaden. Incredible hikes/walks. Looks forward to watching the other videos
HA never mind you made it to Berchtesgaden :P
Thank you for the suggestions! We haven’t made it to Garmisch yet but we CANNOT wait to! We both like running so we will look into the marathon! Sounds like a blast!
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
We hope you can too! It really is so fun! We will have to give your channel a look too! That’s awesome you love to travel and document it too! 😊
Awesome landscape and great video! :)
Looks like you had a fantastic trip. Lovely to see you both so happy 😀
I've been to Neuschwanstein Castle twice and it was so stressfull because there were so many people. You are very lucky! The footage is beautiful! Thank you!
We feel so lucky we were able to catch it at such a good time!!
@@OurStorytoTell You guys were lucky. I went there as a kid with my family. We waited 2-3 hours and were then rushed through the castle in a 5-10 minute tour, and it wasn't exactly cheap either. Biggest rip off ever.
I hope you visited Schloss Linderhof as well. it was the summer residence of King Ludwig. Its not far away from Neuschwanstein and situated in a beautiful valley
I enjoyed this video so much. never been up that mountain myself, but what an amazing view it was, wow also funny that you mentioned flying the nest, I binged their first 2 years in like 2 months and it felt like their memorys are mine now, such a weird and unique feeling. they did their first drone flights at this castle I remember, even tho its mostly illegal in germany. and yes ! spätzle are awesome! and so is a good schnitzel , which I prefer with a fried egg on top!
Yes they are such a fun family! Fun that you’ve watched so many of their videos! 😊
Wow. I musst say. For a Swiss Guy, verry close to Bavarian. You’re Video is just amazing.
Thank you.
And of corse.. the food up there is just the best you can get in Germany.
I‘ll visit Ludwigs Neuschwanstein this year.
Hey thanks so much Thomas! It means a lot 😊
Is it only me...........the sequence between 7.07 and 7.17min..........SO funny and a perfect Intro......
Haha Willa is too funny! It would have been a good one!
Great, that you enjoyed Schloss Neuschwanstein so much. If you ever make it to Rheinland-Pfalz go visit Burg Eltz. It's also very beautiful.
Born in Berlin, life in NRW, Bavaria is a real Disney wonderworld🥰🤩
Woooow so beautiful! Greetings from Munich, Bavaria
Thank you!! We will be traveling to Munich soon & can’t wait so keep an eye out for that video!
Hope you can enjoy your time in Germany. Some suggestions to travel: Nordsee St. Peter Ording (in summer), Harz Mountains Brocken (in winter), Lüneburger Heide (in end of July), Eifel vulcano Laacher See, Mosel city of Trier, Frankfurt/Main, Heidelberg, Hamburg, Sächsische Schweiz, Berchtesgaden Königsee (during summer time), Chiemsee, Ruegen island
I was last in that area 6 years ago and when I look at the pics I took while there my jaw still drops........amazingly beautiful area. If you 3 haven't been to Berchtesgaden yet then def put that on the list as well.
Ha, I gave thumb up #2222 :) Great video, glad you enjoyed it and had good weather!
Thanks 🙏
Now I now what I have to do with my Family this Summer … 👻
My hometwow........I am so lucky to live in this area. And you can still find corners that are not overcrowded
Very nice video and such a cute baby girl!!!!
Thank you for watching and the kind comments! 😊
@@OurStorytoTell My tipp: Check out Schwarzwald (Black Forest)
wait until Christmas and visit the Markets in the Citycentre.. man you guys have so much to explore... :) Have fun
Nice to see Lake Forggensee back again. last time i drove past it was emptied out to get cleaned.
Forggensee is a retention basin built by the lechkraftwerke. It runs empty every year in the fall to be ready for hold back the melt water in spring.
