Just because there is talc in an eyeshadow does not mean that there is asbestos. Asbestos occurs in cosmetics when talc is not collected from a cosmetic safe grade of talc. This really only occurs when a brand decides to cut corners to save a little bit of money. Asbestos is rarely found in cosmetics and when it is there is a recall of all batches that have been affected. I understand that my comment is late, but this misinformation could cause people to through away perfectly good palettes, and denounce brands despite that fact that they are using cosmetic grade talc and not regular talc.
Hey girl! Just wanted to share, as a profession makeup artist I want to let you in on.. there’s no such thing as “natural” makeup. Clean, sure! But natural is just not possible. The most natural lines out there (like juice beauty) are huge contributors to non sustainable products. Always having to throw it out because it spoils. And not to mention the copious amounts of lawsuits because generally “organic” or “natural” makeup isn’t tested for safety. Loved the decluttering tho!
@@Balletified This was so rude, like wow. Espoir was very respectful and you come in with personal insults and aggressiveness? It seems like she hit a nerve and you got angry and defensive. I'm sending all sorts of positivity your way because the vibes you're giving off are kinda negative. Have a blessed day ♾
@@sabr4174 There were no personal insults in there. If anything if you are a makeup artist, that doesn't mean you know everything so saying there is no natural makeup as if it's a fact is pretty insulting to others too such as Deauq who specializes in such area + other fellow makeup artists/users who use and believe in natural makeup be it clean as a brand or natural looking. Before making such a claim, anyone should think and actually do research.
For a natural non-toxic bronzer, look into Han Skin Care Cosmetics bronzer! I haven't tried it, but I'm about to purchase the Malibu shade which looks close to the shades you own and have heard great things about it. But everyone says it is the perfect MATTE, fair skin bronzer/contour.
I keep hearing about Han Skin Care Cosmetics!! Now I won't be as heartbroken when I'm done with my Too Faced bronzer (which will be super soon because I just hit pan!). Thanks for the recommendation, Sarah and Naomi ❤
@@CarleyHutchinson Yay! BTW I just received my HAN bronzer a couple of days ago and it is an absolute dream!!! Hands down best bronzer, in fact one of the best green beauty products, I have ever tried! I got their concealer as well and it's super nice!
It was soo satisfying to see your makeup collection and how you decluttered it further. Its satisfying but I struggle with my collection. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to downsize. 🤞
the one palette by lawless is amazing and clean. it has alot of warm tones that you might like. also han cosmetics has a matte bronzer and i think au naturale has amazing powder products.
Asbestos ends up in makeup because of poor regulations involving cosmetic grade talc, which is also known as talcum powder. Talc and asbestos are minerals that form together. That means talc mined for commercial uses can be contaminated with asbestos. It's not added intentionally but apparently the FDA doesn't regulate cosmetic grade talc and there are no laws that prohibit asbestos within talc. It can just be growing in the talc unknowingly. I'd say the possibility is low that there is asbestos in the palette but with out constant checking there is no way to know for certain it seems. One batch could be fine and completely uncontaminated but the next batch using a different batch of talc COULD be contaminated. :/
This is the first video I've watched of yours, I'm halfway through and subbed. Love your personality and because you use clean products like I am. I got many more in my watch later now!
Just a heads up, I invested in a kosas cream blush duo in the mauve color. I loved it but I barely made a dent in it and it expired!!! Like within 6months of purchasing it! Its very chunky now and gross. I recommend you buying the powder formula, not the cream.
Very nice declutter, really like that your moving to more clean beauty as well and I love how small your makeup collection is, its so much more relatable as well, mine is pretty small where it fits into one small wooden box. RMS beauty is pretty awesome, I have the concealer as well and I'm looking into the highlighters, how do you find it? I still find it so weird that some YTubers can have massive collections it makes me wonder how much of it truly expires before they use it. One thing you may want to look into with make up as well is looking into vegan and cruelty free brands as well, most of clean beauty will be cruelty free. But with vegan makeup you know for certain its not going to have any animal by-products as well. Really great source of which brands are vegan and cruelty free is logical harmony net that you can google easily. But yeah love your collection vid :) :)
I cannot believe the size of some people's makeup collections!! A small little collection of products that I love makes me happy :) I love the RMS highlighter. Super natural and easy to use. And yes, cruelty free is for sure something I am transitioning to as well - its super important! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, Kay ❤
Great video, and I agree with you. I have also been decluttering my makeup collection that it only fits in to a makeup bag. I can not stand too many products. I get overwhelmed...Also, I can tell that you are an Allana fan, cuz you look a lot like her. I don't blame you, she was the first person I saw apply so many makeup products, with her hands 🤗.
The main idea behind the hype is, that it is better for your health/skin and better for the world/environment. And also about supporting brands with a "good moral" regarding that ;)
Because people willfully choose not to listen to people who understand chemistry, and there will always be people who think natural is better even when it's been proven over and over to be false. Placebo is a thing. And because fear marketing is as effective as using sex or babies to sell things.
WHY would you pass your old makeup to people you love, like your mom and friends? I saw that you decluttered a 1/2 used up Urban Decay palette that was RANK. Just get rid of it and accept that you are moving on to cleaner pastures. Would you want others (even IF they needed makeup) to have toxic AND aged, dirty makeup to put on their face? Here...it's the gift that keeps on giving. (pimples, skin breakouts, etc.) Don't do it, it's probably past it's shelf life and just throw it away. I'd NEVER in a million years give my beloved mom (who is passed on now) some of my old dirty makeup, what a downer. Show your love for her by taking her to a store like Credo or Sephora and buy her CLEAN NEW makeup or skincare. Isn't she worth that?!! OMG I couldn't believe you were giving her your old crap makeup. One NEVER "passes along" used mascara, or lip products. JUST THROW IT AWAY.
She said she is getting RID OF her Urban Decay shadows...not that she was passing them on to her mom and friends. She specifically said it has talc and asbestos so she is getting rid of them.

Nice declutter, it's good to see someone actually getting rid of things they do not use/need ♥
You are the only person I've seen that did a declutter video and actually got rid of more than what they kept.

What is with the weird obsession of “clean and natural” makeup

Asbestos. It’s in the makeup. It causes cancer.
@@sneakerlove5313 Most makeup companies don’t use that anymore

@@Vidaluz09 NO she said that she is PASSING THEM ALONG. That is in the intent of being used. If the makeup is old, or RANK then get RID of it. Period.
Cosmetics are regulated. There is no such thing as “toxic” makeup. If it is “toxic” it is due to an error.
Apart from certain products containing lower quality talcum ‘talc’ powder
¨ Transitioning to Clean Beauty ¨..... I was expecting to see only cruelty free, clean makeup being kept... :(
u little look like Jennifer Aniston ;d

This is horrifying to me! Good for u but oh no never!A girls gotta have some things that are girlish!
