When I was kid I was scared to death of this ride, but one day I gathered enough courage to get on and ride it and because of that I overcame my fear of any and roller coasters from that day on.

Same, I use to fear this ride as a kid but I remember my first time getting on it, I felt good I finally got on it. Sometimes it feels scary and sometimes it doesn't. It's actually my favorite ride.

I'd forgotten all about this ride! I used to love it!
One time, I almost tore my left hand clean off on a swing ride by not KEEPING MY ARMS INSIDE THE RIDE. This rule has a gravely serious purpose, and I almost demonstrated that purpose in grotesque graphicness.
I was a young teen at the time, and I absent-mindedly and cheerfully stuck my hand out past the barrier of the cars to show a peace sign, pulled it in casually, and not a second later, the abutment came flying past. One of my first very sobering moments in life. Of course, the ride operator shot me one hell of a look. Even at that time, I felt really, really sorry for the poor guy; I almost created a horrifying disaster on his watch!

I just went on this today and I was absolutely terrified even though I love loops on roller coasters... I was smiling the whole time while my friend was almost in tears lol 😭😭 I've never been on it but I've always wanted to, and I am so glad I did. I think it might be my nee favorite carnival ride.

My god, I went on this thing. It was like my 3rd ever ride. Ever. Being upside down and HELD THERE was terrifying. With all the speed and whipping around, best I could do was keep my head as CLOSE AS I COULD to the rest and keep my eyes down. My friend across from me thought I passed out XD

Emmy Boo loops are fun, you don’t feel anything. It’s the drops where you feel the stomach feeling. Coming from someone who hates rollercoasters.
If you are scared to go on this GO FOR IT‼️ I was absolutely terrified to go on it but once we went upside down the first time I LOVED IT. The only time it scared me was when we would stop upside down for a moment then switch directions‼️

I went on this when I was 12 and almost fucking died. It was different than this one. The top was like a canopy and it was older. It didn't have those heavy duty holders that go over your shoulders. When me and my friend sat down we realized there was no seatbelts in our row. They didn't hear us yelling so they started the ride and we had to hold onto the poles for dear life. If we let go we would have surely died or been severely injured 😮😵

My local fair had an enclosed version of this and the very first time I rode it, I got paired with a semi-intoxicated guy who threatened to spew every 3 seconds and I was like, please don't... made the ride even more terrifying, lolz!

When I was around 8 years olds this ride came to my carnival. There wasn't any harness to secure you in just a belt and arm cushion that locked into place when pushed down. When the ride would come to the top it would stop in mid air. Everyone would dangle their arms in the air but not me. I could feel myself slipping and started to scream mercifully. Their were two rings on each side and forced myself upwards as I felt gravity pulling me down. Long story short I will never ride on this ride again because of this experience. A couple years ago they put a cage on the roller coaster so if you do fall out you won't plummet to your death

I LOVE THIS RIDE!! I first went on it when I was 9-10 years old and it was a lot of fun. for the people thinking about trying the ride, it may look scary but after a second or two it begins to get fun. Definitely recommend the ride!

I get the butterflies in my stomach from watching this because I've been on this ride so many times and I know how scary it is! Especially since I'm terrified of heights and the first time I went on this ride there was this really nice girl who guided me through it and it was an amazing experience! When my county has the fair where they have this ride every year, I'm going to take my cousin who has never been on this ride on it before and I'm sure he's going to scream from Terror! Wish us luck!

Maya being “out of the seat” is perfectly safe. The restraints are designed to hold you in even if there is some space between you and the restraint. If you were upside down, this is called hang time, if you weren’t it’s called airtime

I went on the front seat of this last year with my friend and we also went on other things like the mach 3 and star dancer and I'm sad that quarantine might stop the red river ex from coming ;-;
Edit from 2 years later: Bro tf I don't remember writing this... then again it has been two years. I literally just came to this video for nostalgia on what the Red River Ex used to be like (not the exact place in this video, but this ride was there) because I ended up moving to Nova Scotia with my mom and it unfortunately doesn't come here.

Watching fair ride videos and funnel cake recipes since coronavirus is keeping me home *nostalgia*
I’ve only rode ones where you had to hold onto bars and you have that bar at your waist to keep you inside and your in a little cage thing and they had padding at the top for your head. The guy kept us upside down so long my friend and I (along with other people) were able to have full blown conversations with the people in the front of us and behind us. The one I rode at my state fair didn’t have anything above your head so you could quite literally fall out. The only thing keeping you in were your knees and your arm strength.
*When I saw that ride at the Firemen’s Fire, I saw money, phones, and other stuff on the ground XD*
