Chrissy what is so refreshing about you is your humbleness your innocence in a matter of speaking. Your joy at discovering new things at trying simple everyday things. Your love for animals ( although I don't agree with buying from breeders when you can adopt or foster) It's only normal that you're going to change a bit as you learn and experience new things.. Just don't let it get to your head stay humble because that's what all your followers like about you.. Just my humble opinion.

Filipino's love Korean/Japanese entertainment such as K-Drama and K-Pop and those stars are all pretty fair skin so those are the celebrity's many youth look up to and typically many want to be fairer skin. Its similar to westerners wanting to be darker/tanned skin.

There was no Pop music, K-Pop or otherwise, on the islands.. no Korean, Japanese, or other influence in their advertising and music, there was no television, and certainly no internet! Very few families even had a land-line within walking distance of their home. Lighter skinned, long nosed people began to show up in great numbers during WW-II... they had superior weapons of war, cigarettes, chocolate, and other products or possessions that they associated with being wealthier than they. Anyway, all that's for the sociologists/anthropologists and others to sort out and to assign any blame (cause/effect). But the human qualities of envy, greed, happiness, pleasure, admiration, and others, set the stage to associate being fair-skinned with greater wealth and affluence. Foreign movies, music, magazines, stars and idols, television, and the internet... a constant stream of 'this is how you oughta be' to have it all. Surprised? 🤔

(1/2) For those viewers that prefer to read this was originally the script. A lot of things changed in me since I got married. And I know a lot of you guys knew that I’m from a poor but loving family. I also have learned a lot and will continue learning. I was also fortunate enough to experienced a lot of stuff that I was not thinking of experiencing it 3 years ago. I’m sure I changed too. So we will be talking about how I’ve changed since being married to a foreigner. 1) Clothes - I am really thankful that I can now buy clothes that I want. Because before, I really dressed up poorly. Not that I want to be criticized with others for how I look. But because I had no choice of clothes to wear. When I was in elementary and even in high school the clothes that I wear was from my aunt’s. The clothes that they don’t wear anymore was passed to us. I also remember, when I was in 7th grade I received a really harsh critic if you call it that way. But basically I was in my Filipino class that time and suddenly or I can’t clearly remember but I remembered exactly what my teacher had told me that time. She was looking at me with disgust.
“You’re a girl but you dress up like that. If I have a daughter or even a niece I wouldn’t let them dress like you.” And my classmates that time, all of them were looking at me. I was really embarrassed. I really wanted to cry, but I didn’t. It's not like I wanted to dressed up like that. It's just that I had no other clothes to wear. I had no choice. So looking back I felt really really bad for myself because I only had 2 pairs of jeans that doesn’t even fit me, so I had to look for something to tie it using a shoelace since I had no belt. The 2 pairs of jeans, I had to used it every week. I still have no uniform that time because we had no money to get one. I waited like 3-4 months to have my own uniform. But now, I am fortunate enough to buy the clothes that I want. I have a lot now. Which is why I am really thankful. 2) Food - Not that we were struggling to eat, we were still fortunate enough to eat at least 3 times a day. Its just that, there were food that I wanted to eat before but can’t since it was not my parents priority to get expensive. As long as we’re able to eat, its good. Since my father was a fish vendor, our viand was always fish most of the time. Pork and chicken was only once or twice weekly. We were more on fish and veggies before. Im not saying this because I’m complaining I’m just expressing my thought about it. More like sharing my opinion. Of course mothers knows what’s best for the family. And I know it’s more healthy that way. Less pork more vegetable! So when I married Tim, I was really eating a lot of meat like constantly. Although for me, the time that I can tell or the most healthy phase of my life was when I was pregnant with my son Dale. I was too picky when it comes to food. I was constantly eating veggies like everyday. The entire 9 months that I was pregnant with him, I was not eating any junk food, coffee, soft drinks, not even Jollibee. I was really eating healthy. So I think when I was not married, when I was still with my parents the only time we can eat good food was only if there was an occasion like fiesta. But not since I really love cooking, if there’s something I am craving I can now eat them. (lastly.. talk about looking for a coconut to exchange it with food) 3) Hotel and Restaurant The first time that I had been to a hotel was in Cebu, I was with Timoy. Since I studied cookery before, while discussing, my teacher from food and beverages told as that when she first went to Manila she observed what others were doing before trying it herself. So I did what my teacher had told us. When we first went to a hotel actually it was a condo, I was observing what Tim was doing especially going in to an elevator. I even felt dizzy going up and down since I was not used to it. I always hold Tim’s arms tightly every time until I got used to it. The first restaurant I had been to was also in Cebu. I don’t even know how to get the waiters attention and I was too shy to do it myself. So what I did was observed Tim until I was not shy to do it myself… For me ordering to a hotel using a telephone was really frightening. I was too shy to talk and I don’t even know how to do it. Its just like ordering at the Jollibee, but once its your turn to get your order you get really nervous. That kind of feeling. Maybe I was just really too innocent, and growing up to a secluded area did not also help. But now that I’ve learned, thanks to Tim, whom I was observing what he was doing every time. I am not shy anymore to do it MYSELF. 4) Confidence and Experienced I can say that I am now just a little bit more confident to myself that I was 3 years ago. I had experienced a lot of stuff that I was not expecting of doing it. I was fortunate to go to expensive hotels was able to go to a, fancy restaurants, I was able to go to Cebu, Boracay, Manila, Baguio etc. Although its just a small stuff, but I am just really happy that I had experienced all of it. Probably the most memorable experienced that we’ve been too, was in Boracay especially riding the jets ski. Before I only saw it on tv, but I’ve seen it in person once or twice. It seems really cool that I wanted to try it myself. It was really fun. So maybe in the very far future, I might get one if God will allow me to have it for my family so they can also experienced how fun it is to ride a jets ski. Also the parasailing it was really nice, it seems like I was on top of the world that time with Hannah. I expected it to be scary but for some reason it seems like I’ve tried before. I was not scared at all. Although motion sickness hit me that time, but at least it was fun and I enjoyed it. Since I have experienced of going to other places my confidence improved. I used to be really naive, shy and timid. I can’t even go to the City before just by myself I used to ask someone to accompany me. I was even too scared of living my parents for just a day. If you guys remembered I used to go to my parents house when we stayed to the small apartment before like all the time. But now I think I can go for months without worrying about my parents. I mean technology now has improved, we can just do video call and stuff like that. I mean even when we went to Manila I still always call my parents. You know Filipinos are very family oriented and I always put my family first.
(2/2) 5) Money Growing up poor it was really hard. I saw how my parents struggled to budget money. Our budget before for a week was only 500 pesos (10 USD), and my parents specially my mom need to make sure it’ll last. When I was in elementary my mom only gave me 1 peso and sometimes 5 pesos for my snack. And for me it wasn’t enough since I like to eat and I understand that my parents doesn’t have any money. When I was in high school my mom would gave me 20 pesos or 0.40 dollars. For that 20 pesos, 10 pesos will be for the trike back and forth 5 pesos each way, and other 5 pesos will be for my lunch then the remaining 5 pesos will be for my snack. And looking at my rich classmates gets to eat and buy what they want I felt bad for myself. My junior and senior high years was also tough. I didn’t let my parents pay for my education since I saw how they’re struggling. So I took the opportunity to work to a 24 hour bakery shop (my fathers sister was the supervisor) I duty there every night. I remember having not enough sleep since it was a 24 hour bakery there were a lot of costumers at night. I was always tired and lacked of sleep that I couldn’t even focus in the class. I was always tired. Thats how I paid for my tuition and for ingredients that I used since I majored in cookery that time. My salary was 150 pesos (3 dollars) every duty and sometimes I would skip school so I can save more money to pay for my projects. And I also have to give my parents some money although it was not a lot but I’m thankful I was able to help my parents that way. So during my junior high and senior high year I graduated working at a bakery shop. I was even kind of fat back then for eating a lot bread. I gained 8 kilos the entire time that I was working there. Those working students out there I really respect them a lot. God knows how hard to be a working student. Others even work till they graduate college. I know my experienced was nothing compared to them. And comparing yourself to others won’t help you grow. We have different path and journeys that we took. So never compare yourself to others. By the way I just remembered that every time I come home from school (junior high) I always see Bill Gates poster next to Kuting Reef that says: “If you are born poor its not your mistake, but if you die poor its your mistake.” It’s as if life was trying to tell me that I need to do something. I told myself I want to be successful. If not successful then at least I can be able to provide my family’s needs and my son. I want to graduate from college and help my parents. And seeing kids running around crying that their parent can’t buy them food and can’t provide their needs I told myself that I wouldn’t want my future baby to experienced the kind of life I’ve experienced. I don’t want it to happen. I want to provide my son anything he needs. Because I know how hard it was. But the most important thing is you keep on moving forward. Anyway, now that I am married the thing that I don’t like the most is budgeting. I now understand how my mom work hard before when it comes to budgeting money. The 500 pesos that she need to budget for the whole week. Although we now have money to budget, it’s still hard. You have to pay a lot of expenses, rent, water, electricity, food and some other things. But God, is just too kind to me that he helps me not to worry about money anymore. I am also helping paying some expenses from the money that I make here in YT. So thank you guys for not skipping the ads. 6) Respect I had a really tough childhood. Believe it or not I experienced being bullied. When I was a kid I was really really dark. My classmates in elementary often make fun of me. A group of bullies they were all boys like 3 of them. They will stripped me in front of my classmates then laugh to how dark I was. This happened when I was in the 4th grade till 5th grade. They always call me names and insult me. I really thought bullying only happens in movies. But I experienced it myself. I already forgive them but, the hard part is I cannot forget how they humiliated me. I was wondering if I was still dark but has money, will they still bully me? If I dressed up nicely and has a lighter skin will they still bully me? I bit they won’t. I mean even if they talk bad about me at least they’ll badmouth me if I wasn’t around. Right. Do you guys get the point? The thing is people respect you more if you have money. If you’re poor they always looked down at you. That’s the sad reality of the society. You have to fit in to be notice. But I realized, that’s not important. If others cannot accept you for who you are then stop impressing others just so you can fit in. Regardless of how you look, your shape, your color, and your status. You need to be respected. We all deserve to be respected. We are all beautiful. We should love ourselves more, if they can’t accept our flaws, then it’s their problem. Don’t try to change to other people. That is who you are. This is who we are. Love yourself. More. And put yourself first before other people. You deserve it. Just don’t be toxic. I think I am trying to make this video into a motivational video. I'm sorry. Now that I am married to a foreigner, I get a lot of respect now. I don’t received any disrespect anymore. The funny thing is, every time I see one of my bully in elementary now it seems like he’s embarrassed. That's what I think, because he act shy when I’m around. He can’t even look at me. Though what I’m facing now is there are people who still talk bad about about me and my parents. But I like peace, so I don’t care what they say about us anymore. Because I know, I didn’t do anything wrong. Let them judge us all they want. It doesn’t matter because I wouldn’t care. 7) Kindness I believe being kind won’t cost us any cents. So instead of being mean, be kind. That will lead you to a better relationship to others. Although I’m not rich when it comes to money but I am rich when it comes to kindness. My heart is pure and I really love helping others. I helped my cousin who’s husband died just recently because her son was taken to the hospital. Although it was not a lot. But I am happy to say that I help her with good intention. I had helped other people too. The thing about helping others is that it makes you really happy and satisfied that you get to help them. You can also build a better relationship. These are on my bucket list that I really want to come true. Help those in need Provide shelter to those stray dogs. Someday, I will make that come true. That's what I really want. END….. But before closing this video I want to say that as long as you’re not doing anything that makes other people mad at you then do what makes you happy. That's really important. To be happy. I know some of you are upset thinking that we are now all about money. Well, we need to save since we are buying a property. And I am sorry to those people whom we upset thinking that I changed that I never considered where I came from. I understand. And I respect your opinions. It’s really true we cannot please everyone, no matter what you do people will always find a thing to say. But my motto in life is always be optimistic. As long as you’re not hurting or stepping other people then I’m not sorry. But if I offend you in any way. Then I am very sorry. I really am. I'm not perfect and I’m not trying to be. Whatever she didn't like even perfumes I would have. I don't have sisters and I was raised by my Grandparents. I didn't know a lot of things also until I married my husband and I am still learning after 30 years of marriage. In México also they see you different when your skin color is dark and if you don't have money. That never really bothered me . I was queen on many occasions in primary and secondary school. As a white guy that is married to a Filopina, I was so shocked to hear my wife say how she was made to feel ashamed of her dark skin colour by fellow filapinos. And now I hear you saying the same thing as a young girl you experienced the same discrimination. I have been trying to push back on the Critical Race Theory and whiteness. But it's hard to deny when it is evidenced in your culture and I see it when I was last in Phil. As a Christian I believe we are all made in the image and likeness of God. We are one in Christ. One race the human race if somewhat fallen. And our skin colour is determined by the pigment Melanin. So of us have a lot of it and some a little of it and some in between. Filipino's love Korean/Japanese entertainment such as K-Drama and K-Pop and those stars are all pretty fair skin so those are the celebrity's many youth look up to and typically many want to be fairer skin. Its similar to westerners wanting to be darker/tanned skin.

There was no Pop music, K-Pop or otherwise, on the islands.. no Korean, Japanese, or other influence in their advertising and music, there was no television, and certainly no internet! Very few families even had a land-line within walking distance of their home.
Lighter skinned, long nosed people began to show up in great numbers during WW-II... they had superior weapons of war, cigarettes, chocolate, and other products or possessions that they associated with being wealthier than they. Anyway, all that's for the sociologists/anthropologists and others to sort out and to assign any blame (cause/effect). But the human qualities of envy, greed, happiness, pleasure, admiration, and others, set the stage to associate being fair-skinned with greater wealth and affluence. Foreign movies, music, magazines, stars and idols, television, and the internet... a constant stream of 'this is how you oughta be' to have it all. Surprised? 🤔

A lot of things changed in me since I got married. And I know a lot of you guys knew that I’m from a poor but loving family. I also have learned a lot and will continue learning. I was also fortunate enough to experienced a lot of stuff that I was not thinking of experiencing it 3 years ago. I’m sure I changed too. So we will be talking about how I’ve changed since being married to a foreigner.
1) Clothes
- I am really thankful that I can now buy clothes that I want. Because before, I really dressed up poorly. Not that I want to be criticized with others for how I look. But because I had no choice of clothes to wear. When I was in elementary and even in high school the clothes that I wear was from my aunt’s. The clothes that they don’t wear anymore was passed to us. I also remember, when I was in 7th grade I received a really harsh critic if you call it that way. But basically I was in my Filipino class that time and suddenly or I can’t clearly remember but I remembered exactly what my teacher had told me that time. She was looking at me with disgust.
“You’re a girl but you dress up like that.
If I have a daughter or even a niece I wouldn’t let them dress like you.”
And my classmates that time, all of them were looking at me. I was really embarrassed. I really wanted to cry, but I didn’t. It's not like I wanted to dressed up like that. It's just that I had no other clothes to wear. I had no choice. So looking back I felt really really bad for myself because I only had 2 pairs of jeans that doesn’t even fit me, so I had to look for something to tie it using a shoelace since I had no belt. The 2 pairs of jeans, I had to used it every week. I still have no uniform that time because we had no money to get one. I waited like 3-4 months to have my own uniform. But now, I am fortunate enough to buy the clothes that I want. I have a lot now. Which is why I am really thankful.
2) Food
- Not that we were struggling to eat, we were still fortunate enough to eat at least 3 times a day. Its just that, there were food that I wanted to eat before but can’t since it was not my parents priority to get expensive. As long as we’re able to eat, its good. Since my father was a fish vendor, our viand was always fish most of the time. Pork and chicken was only once or twice weekly. We were more on fish and veggies before. Im not saying this because I’m complaining I’m just expressing my thought about it. More like sharing my opinion. Of course mothers knows what’s best for the family. And I know it’s more healthy that way. Less pork more vegetable! So when I married Tim, I was really eating a lot of meat like constantly. Although for me, the time that I can tell or the most healthy phase of my life was when I was pregnant with my son Dale. I was too picky when it comes to food. I was constantly eating veggies like everyday. The entire 9 months that I was pregnant with him, I was not eating any junk food, coffee, soft drinks, not even Jollibee. I was really eating healthy. So I think when I was not married, when I was still with my parents the only time we can eat good food was only if there was an occasion like fiesta. But not since I really love cooking, if there’s something I am craving I can now eat them.
(lastly.. talk about looking for a coconut to exchange it with food)
3) Hotel and Restaurant
The first time that I had been to a hotel was in Cebu, I was with Timoy. Since I studied cookery before, while discussing, my teacher from food and beverages told as that when she first went to Manila she observed what others were doing before trying it herself. So I did what my teacher had told us. When we first went to a hotel actually it was a condo, I was observing what Tim was doing especially going in to an elevator. I even felt dizzy going up and down since I was not used to it. I always hold Tim’s arms tightly every time until I got used to it. The first restaurant I had been to was also in Cebu. I don’t even know how to get the waiters attention and I was too shy to do it myself. So what I did was observed Tim until I was not shy to do it myself… For me ordering to a hotel using a telephone was really frightening. I was too shy to talk and I don’t even know how to do it. Its just like ordering at the Jollibee, but once its your turn to get your order you get really nervous. That kind of feeling. Maybe I was just really too innocent, and growing up to a secluded area did not also help. But now that I’ve learned, thanks to Tim, whom I was observing what he was doing every time. I am not shy anymore to do it MYSELF.
4) Confidence and Experienced
I can say that I am now just a little bit more confident to myself that I was 3 years ago. I had experienced a lot of stuff that I was not expecting of doing it. I was fortunate to go to expensive hotels was able to go to a, fancy restaurants, I was able to go to Cebu, Boracay, Manila, Baguio etc. Although its just a small stuff, but I am just really happy that I had experienced all of it. Probably the most memorable experienced that we’ve been too, was in Boracay especially riding the jets ski. Before I only saw it on tv, but I’ve seen it in person once or twice. It seems really cool that I wanted to try it myself. It was really fun. So maybe in the very far future, I might get one if God will allow me to have it for my family so they can also experienced how fun it is to ride a jets ski. Also the parasailing it was really nice, it seems like I was on top of the world that time with Hannah. I expected it to be scary but for some reason it seems like I’ve tried before. I was not scared at all. Although motion sickness hit me that time, but at least it was fun and I enjoyed it. Since I have experienced of going to other places my confidence improved. I used to be really naive, shy and timid. I can’t even go to the City before just by myself I used to ask someone to accompany me. I was even too scared of living my parents for just a day. If you guys remembered I used to go to my parents house when we stayed to the small apartment before like all the time. But now I think I can go for months without worrying about my parents. I mean technology now has improved, we can just do video call and stuff like that. I mean even when we went to Manila I still always call my parents. You know Filipinos are very family oriented and I always put my family first.

5) Money
Growing up poor it was really hard. I saw how my parents struggled to budget money. Our budget before for a week was only 500 pesos (10 USD), and my parents specially my mom need to make sure it’ll last. When I was in elementary my mom only gave me 1 peso and sometimes 5 pesos for my snack. And for me it wasn’t enough since I like to eat and I understand that my parents doesn’t have any money. When I was in high school my mom would gave me 20 pesos or 0.40 dollars. For that 20 pesos, 10 pesos will be for the trike back and forth 5 pesos each way, and other 5 pesos will be for my lunch then the remaining 5 pesos will be for my snack. And looking at my rich classmates gets to eat and buy what they want I felt bad for myself. My junior and senior high years was also tough. I didn’t let my parents pay for my education since I saw how they’re struggling. So I took the opportunity to work to a 24 hour bakery shop (my fathers sister was the supervisor) I duty there every night. I remember having not enough sleep since it was a 24 hour bakery there were a lot of costumers at night. I was always tired and lacked of sleep that I couldn’t even focus in the class. I was always tired. Thats how I paid for my tuition and for ingredients that I used since I majored in cookery that time. My salary was 150 pesos (3 dollars) every duty and sometimes I would skip school so I can save more money to pay for my projects. And I also have to give my parents some money although it was not a lot but I’m thankful I was able to help my parents that way. So during my junior high and senior high year I graduated working at a bakery shop. I was even kind of fat back then for eating a lot bread. I gained 8 kilos the entire time that I was working there. Those working students out there I really respect them a lot. God knows how hard to be a working student. Others even work till they graduate college. I know my experienced was nothing compared to them. And comparing yourself to others won’t help you grow. We have different path and journeys that we took. So never compare yourself to others.
By the way I just remembered that every time I come home from school (junior high) I always see Bill Gates poster next to Kuting Reef that says:
“If you are born poor its not your mistake, but if you die poor its your mistake.”
It’s as if life was trying to tell me that I need to do something. I told myself I want to be successful. If not successful then at least I can be able to provide my family’s needs and my son. I want to graduate from college and help my parents. And seeing kids running around crying that their parent can’t buy them food and can’t provide their needs I told myself that I wouldn’t want my future baby to experienced the kind of life I’ve experienced. I don’t want it to happen. I want to provide my son anything he needs. Because I know how hard it was. But the most important thing is you keep on moving forward.
Anyway, now that I am married the thing that I don’t like the most is budgeting. I now understand how my mom work hard before when it comes to budgeting money. The 500 pesos that she need to budget for the whole week. Although we now have money to budget, it’s still hard. You have to pay a lot of expenses, rent, water, electricity, food and some other things. But God, is just too kind to me that he helps me not to worry about money anymore. I am also helping paying some expenses from the money that I make here in YT. So thank you guys for not skipping the ads.
6) Respect
I had a really tough childhood. Believe it or not I experienced being bullied. When I was a kid I was really really dark. My classmates in elementary often make fun of me. A group of bullies they were all boys like 3 of them. They will stripped me in front of my classmates then laugh to how dark I was. This happened when I was in the 4th grade till 5th grade. They always call me names and insult me. I really thought bullying only happens in movies. But I experienced it myself. I already forgive them but, the hard part is I cannot forget how they humiliated me. I was wondering if I was still dark but has money, will they still bully me? If I dressed up nicely and has a lighter skin will they still bully me? I bit they won’t. I mean even if they talk bad about me at least they’ll badmouth me if I wasn’t around. Right. Do you guys get the point? The thing is people respect you more if you have money. If you’re poor they always looked down at you. That’s the sad reality of the society. You have to fit in to be notice. But I realized, that’s not important. If others cannot accept you for who you are then stop impressing others just so you can fit in. Regardless of how you look, your shape, your color, and your status. You need to be respected. We all deserve to be respected. We are all beautiful. We should love ourselves more, if they can’t accept our flaws, then it’s their problem. Don’t try to change to other people. That is who you are. This is who we are. Love yourself. More. And put yourself first before other people. You deserve it. Just don’t be toxic.
I think I am trying to make this video into a motivational video. I'm sorry.
Now that I am married to a foreigner, I get a lot of respect now. I don’t received any disrespect anymore. The funny thing is, every time I see one of my bully in elementary now it seems like he’s embarrassed. That's what I think, because he act shy when I’m around. He can’t even look at me. Though what I’m facing now is there are people who still talk bad about about me and my parents. But I like peace, so I don’t care what they say about us anymore. Because I know, I didn’t do anything wrong. Let them judge us all they want. It doesn’t matter because I wouldn’t care.
7) Kindness
I believe being kind won’t cost us any cents. So instead of being mean, be kind. That will lead you to a better relationship to others. Although I’m not rich when it comes to money but I am rich when it comes to kindness. My heart is pure and I really love helping others. I helped my cousin who’s husband died just recently because her son was taken to the hospital. Although it was not a lot. But I am happy to say that I help her with good intention. I had helped other people too. The thing about helping others is that it makes you really happy and satisfied that you get to help them. You can also build a better relationship. These are on my bucket list that I really want to come true.
Help those in need
Provide shelter to those stray dogs.
Someday, I will make that come true. That's what I really want.

But before closing this video I want to say that as long as you’re not doing anything that makes other people mad at you then do what makes you happy. That's really important. To be happy. I know some of you are upset thinking that we are now all about money. Well, we need to save since we are buying a property. And I am sorry to those people whom we upset thinking that I changed that I never considered where I came from. I understand. And I respect your opinions.
It’s really true we cannot please everyone, no matter what you do people will always find a thing to say. But my motto in life is always be optimistic. As long as you’re not hurting or stepping other people then I’m not sorry. But if I offend you in any way. Then I am very sorry. I really am. I'm not perfect and I’m not trying to be.

I remember when Tim did the video of that farm. I know what you are talking about when you said the story about using the clothes from your aunt I did the same. Whatever she didn't like even perfumes I would have. I don't have sisters and I was raised by my Grandparents. In México also they see you different when your skin color is dark and if you don't have money. That never really bothered me . I was queen on many occasions in primary and secondary school. So glad that you have found happiness and are in a good place. As a white guy that is married to a Filopina, I was so shocked to hear my wife say how she was made to feel ashamed of her dark skin colour by fellow filapinos. And now I hear you saying the same thing as a young girl you experienced the same discrimination. I have been trying to push back on the Critical Race Theory and whiteness. But it's hard to deny when it is evidenced in your culture and I see it when I was last in Phil. As a Christian I believe we are all made in the image and likeness of God. We are one in Christ. One race the human race if somewhat fallen. And our skin colour is determined by the pigment Melanin. So of us have a lot of it and some a little of it and some in between. Enjoy being you and thank you for sharing your story.

It’s great you have had the opportunity to learn all that you have learned because of marrying a foreigner. It’s always wonderful to learn new things and what is even better is that you have embraced what you have learned. I know some were a bit different or difficult but you still went through them! I’m Filipino myself and I can relate to the new things you’ve learned. Stay funny and sweet Chrissy! Hopefully one day your family can visit where Tim lives in the US.
