- We've done the Ha Giang with a car with driver and guide for 3 days . We followed the exact same route as the bikes . For the Sky Path we rented 2 bikes for 50.000 dongs each . The all 3 days were amazing . One of the best 3 days drive in the world for sure .
We are in our late 50's and being on a bike 6 hours a day for 3 days was impossible for us , but believe us even with a car it has been a wonderful adventure , one of the best we had during all our travels
We arrange this trip with the help of Cheers Hostel and Epic Tour in Hanoi
We paid 229 US$ per person . This price included :
_ Transport Sapa - Ha Giang - Hanoi by limousine bus
_ A private car , petrol , driver and one experience guide who speak English
_ Meals: 3 breakfasts / 3 lunches and 2 dinners
_ Boat trip on Who Que river
_ 2 nights accomodations in homestays

From Ha Giang take main road QL4C .
A bit after Sa Phin Village turn left . there should be a sign on the side of the road with Lung Cu 26km all the way to the Flag Pole .
From the flag pole take another road straight to Dong Van . On this road you should go past the ruins of an old French army outpost .
From Dong Van continue on the main road QL4C to the Sky Walk . After continue again on the QL4C TO THE Ma Pi Leng Pass .
After from Meo Vac turn right onto road 182/176 till Du Gia .

We booked through a travel agent in Hanoi called " Vietnam Cheers Hostels "
They got a website . If you book with them , just ask if you could get a guide called " Tuna " .
Tuna might only be his nickname , but it should be enough for them to identify him .

How long were you on the bikes?
Hi . You can rent a bike at the carpark at the start of the sky path track . It takes about 15 minutes to get to the top and 15 minutes to get back . That was the only time we were on a bike during the 3 days .
