Love it! I have been building my own Mandalorian armor. You can see it in my live streams. But I’ll be moving and making a new Star Wars room with light up Imperial panels.
I love how this is coming along. I think the direction you are taking using salvaged parts is the right one. Also sorry to hear about the rough day you had with your van. My first car was a 64 Ford Econoline window van. It was broke down more often than it was running but I still loved it. I remember coming to a stop light once and all of a sudden it wouldn't go forward anymore. I was blocking traffic and when I got out to find out what was wrong there was red transmission fluid running down the hill. I remember thinking my van is bleeding! Lolol. Thanks for sharing your progress!
Oh man... I am loving it more and more. As you added the greeblies to the sides, the weathering on the front corner popped out to my eye even more !! Now I just have to figure out how to disguise my Google Assistant in a geeked-out Star Wars way. Thank you for continuing to bring great content to the masses.
Absolutely love the salvage and weathering techniques this episode. And I 100% get the air cooled issues. I’ve had several type 1 Beetles. And let’s just say that really hot days and the grapevine don’t mix. If you passed by at the time…I was the guy laying under the car adjusting valves because they seized up. 😂
This thing is great! I love all the different flavors and greeblies and odds and ends that your using. Gives it character! Keep going man can’t wait to see this thing when your finished! Thanks Shawn!
Another great one Shawn! About the TV (I think you said it wasn't working)... IF you can get it working I saw someone take one and turn it into a display for a raspberry pi, which looked AMAZING! I'm sure it would look great as a star wars prop if you could get yours working (I almost bought one off Ebay to play with). You can't beat CRT scan lines for authenticity :)
Love the real world greeblies that are being used! The VCR parts look awesome! I kind of strive to use whatever I find interesting (mostly because I can’t afford a 3D printer) but I feel like it adds more realism to the prop. Can’t wait to see what else you make!
First off, you’re more than welcome for the bits, I wish it was more but once funds allow I’ll get some more for you… And before you reply “you really don’t have too”, yeh I know but I like you so want to 👍🏼 Anyway, to the build.. Looking great and fab to see you go back to the original routes so to speak. As someone with 3D printers myself I understand what you mean in that it’s far too easy for us to just print greeblies rather than doing it the correct way and finding them. As always, great real content, can’t wait to see what’s coming next and to see this finished. Don’t forget though, I still want to see you make helmet display stands and another video on Star Wars theming IKEA Kallax/Detolf shelving for displays 😉 All the best, Steve.
Another way to mark in small holes is to dip a skewer in paint and insert into hole. With your allen screws, make your life easier to screw them in without the plate, then use a couple of drops of glue onto the nut and pull it against the inside of the case. You can then unscrew the allen bolt, add the plate and screw the bolt back in. I do like the look of this and really appreciate the way you decided to use found parts insted of just printing them.
@@trytofinishsomething far from it. But I have one large stack and the beginings of another of mini's. No more room for paints, unless I upgrade my work space. So feed somebody elses "Monkey".

I lived in Northridge and had a 69 bug!! Drove that many times praying I would make it!!! Thanks Garland!
This looks great. I like the vcr head fitting into the simply juice lid.
I know! It’s like Star Wars magic!
Man that looks great, the details are awesome. You are very talented
Thank you very much! I really do think anyone can do it … just a matter of collecting stuff to use! I really appreciate the compliment!

I just think those real world things add a dimension that is hard to fake with 3D printers! It’s also fun to collect interesting bits to use!

Those are GREAT tips! I will try that for sure!!! Thank you so much!
apple sauce pouche lids make for great greebles
May need to take a trip to the store JUST to look at lids!! Thanks!
Worn out printers and video projectors are awesome for greeblies
Such good advice! Off to destroy my “non working” office equipment!

Glad you got the punches.
That way you!??! Thank you! I can’t wait to try them out!! Really generous of you!!
@@trytofinishsomething Glad to help out. Besides I would just spend the money on miniatures, more paint or Gunpla.
@@umbraelegios4130 You make that sound like a bad thing!!! ;)
