I love that insulation foam as a building material. I've also been experimenting with adding textures to glue and paint. Store brand table salt is an excellent, inexpensive way to get a rough brick or concrete texture. Thanks for another great video, Shawn!
Dude this is so awesome! I want to make some of these in miniature for my mad scientist doll house. I'm super impressed you did this while learning 3d modeling and resin printing. Also you can use the UV Resin to fill holes or reattach pieces that break off. Just drip it slowly into crevices and cure with your light. Super fast
Looks awesome and have the saturn as well. May have to try this as well but thinking how I can add more electronics to it. ;) Especially liking the base. Thanks for going through all the steps on the painting. Learning a ton.
Welcome to the 3D modeling community! In the end it's just another set of skills in your toolbox, same as milling or sculpting parts the traditional way.
Awesome build Shawn. Love all the details. And I learned about the gorilla glue foam expansion on my ‘microwave to Tantive IV’ panel. Stuff just blew out everywhere. Lol. And fantastic job expanding the toolsets. It can be daunting but you are mastering them very well. I need to join the pack on this someday. Lol
I was really scared to try it and had everything to actually do it, so I forced myself to take the plunge! It was no where near as hard as I had thought it would be!! I am happy to help in any way when you start!
Looks really cool! And the crazy thing is you can Star Wars it! Like maybe a body part from Emperor Palpatine from cloning him for Rise of Skywalker? Or something like that. Either way, lots of potential!
Love that Shawn! Im glad you finally took the plunge, just like anything we can learn to make something, its just getting past the being scared part. It took me 20 years to finally go for it and im so glad I did. Great job on the prop man! Missed this video somehow but I went checking...LaterZ

Ooooh … I will have to try that! I have used salt for chipping, but not for texture!
Looks like another awesome video and build!!!!
Thank you as always for the support! Even as I am trying something I have NEVER done!
