- this is part 1 of the ultimate epoxy resin coffee table!! we will be going step by step on how to build this table starting with building the form all the way to finishing and installing. We used a few awesome pieces of maple burl to build this table resembling a Caribbean island group. We use the pigment Curacao, which is an island in the Caribbean, ironically.

Awesome piece Nathan !!!!! I thought you made up a new word "Opacity" but its real. Greetings from Grants Pass, Oregon !!!!!
🤣😂 I surprise myself sometimes!!
@@GoodViewWoodworks Keep up the good work !!! I'm still setting up my garage/workshop so I can pull the trigger on some projects. Purchased some awesome walnut slabs and boards to start !!
Sweet dude!!
I can't find part two.....
Beautiful work 👌looking forward to part 2 😊thank you
looks awesome!
Super nice job.... Nathan some really nice pieces..
Thank you sir!!
I'm diggin'that color too! I may have to save up for some burl, I know this table is going to shimmer like none other. Can't wait for part 2
Heck yeah dude!
Looking good Nathan
Wow thats amazing dude.
That’s dude
Good job!
Thank you!!
Slick work! Makes me want to use some of the burl I have in my shop.
Yeah dude I’m hooked on the Burl as of recent!!
@@GoodViewWoodworks I have more than 2,500 dollars worth of his. 🤪
Dang!
Great work Nathan. Looking forward to part 2. Absolutely love this burl for character in epoxy. Would love to try it but burl seems hard to source here in Southern Ontario. Shipping from American sources is cost prohibitive. If anyone has a lead would appreciate hearing. Thanks
Look up a company called Legacy Lumber. They might have what you’re looking for.
Beautiful Nathan...Should come up nice..
Can’t wait till summer is over here in Australia so I can do some epoxy work..too hot
I am working on chopping boards ATM ..
Oh man! What’s the temp there right now?

Last week we had 105 f (40c) for a couple of days...last night we had rain and is and only getting up to 82f (28c)...
My dogs won’t even stay in the shed with me because it’s too hot...
But this is Australia we do have very hot and very cold ...
love going out wood cutting and getting some logs for milling...
Not sure if I am selling wood this winter ,it was hard work...might just stay with epoxy tables and wood work this year...
PS.. COVID 19 was good for me last year, everyone stayed home with their fire going and buying my wood..made money and set up my shed with tools
That’s great! I’m glad to hear all is well with the virus. Dang, 105°F that’s hot 🥵
I need to order some tape!
Go getcha sum!!!!! 😂

can you tell me when you are a 13 in round live edge table with bark on it do you still have to put epoxy on the bottom thank you rick from michigan
Yes, whatever you do to the top of the table, the same needs to be done to the bottom. This is to keep the table from warping over time.
Great. I’m in New Zealand and don’t get good tapes. What’s a good epoxy mould release to use??
make your own molds with puck board. No tape required.
i just started creating epoxy tables and stuff last year (2020). i wasn't sure what products to use - ended up with the same deep pour epoxy: the "incredible solutions". it seems to work fine for me so far. what is your experience with it so far?
It’s has been great! I have been using them for a while now.
@@GoodViewWoodworks thanks. the few projects i have used it for seems to work too. keep up the great work.
Where did you get the burl.
I got it from @worldwide_burl on Instagram
Did you torch it to remove bubbles, or did you allow it to release naturally?
I allowed it release naturally.
@@GoodViewWoodworks cool. I thought you always had to torch/heat gun it.
I try not to with the casting epoxy because I don’t want to set up too quickly. I want those bubbles to rise to the top.
@@GoodViewWoodworks good to know
Can’t find part two!
😂
I’m not done with it yet, it’s still in progress
@@GoodViewWoodworks oh!!! Sorry I thought it was. How’s that adopted baby doing? I’m the one who told you about my best friend who is one of 18 adopted children and one natural child for a total of 19 kids!
Hey 👋 it’s all good! Baby girl is doing well and growing up fast! She is literally the best!
What species of wood is it
This is maple Burl.
