I started doing those exercises hoping they will help with my sacral issues ( connected to my Spondylolisthesis). About half way through, my big toe starts "curling" up - anything that I may be doing wrong? Or is this because I am currently also am plagued with tarsel tunnel syndrome? Sure am grateful for these very different exercises to get more mobility ! Thank you, Doc Hesch!

Jerry, thank you for these. Have you trained or do you know of someone in the San Diego area who thinks about this/works in the same way you do?

Hi Jerry, I have what my PT refers to as an innominate rotation and pelvic upslip on the right side. I am going 3x a week currently and each time I go we start by re-aligning my sacrum through Muscle Energy Techniques. I then lay on my belly and they distract my sacrum by pushing on it and pulling my right leg down with my toes pointed in, my pain goes away completely, but it's only gone as long as it stays aligned and it can move out of place again quickly. After each PT session where we do mostly piriformis stretching, hamstring stretching, and hip flexor stretching I will have a very sore sacrotuberous ligament area. Before I leave they check my sacrum alignment and if it hurts to push up into a bridge then they will attempt to realign it again but by this point, it's way to sore to make that much of a difference. I won't get a sharp pain when it's aligned but it'll still be sore. I wear an SI belt every day after doing Muscle Energy Techniques multiple times a day. I will actually hear an audible "click" when it pops out. Normally when I lay down it puts pressure on my sacrum and it pops immediately, or if I laugh while laying down and contract my glutes it'll pop as well. Do you think these exercises will help or would you recommend making sure I am aligned properly before doing them? Can these exercises promote alignment on their own?

@@JerryHeschInstitute thank you for the quick reply, I live in Dallas Texas, but I do travel to Colorado. Not before the holidays but in January I could. I am not sure if I could motivate my PT to take the class, but I will mention it to her tomorrow!

When I tried doing the exercise when falling toward the right of the shoulder toward the oblique, I had a muscle spasm at my left hip. What could this signal?

It is not appropriate to do that exercise. Hands on testing would be informative.

At what point does a person “have” to get Ifusion? I’m headed that way, and scared. I’ve had two injections. They help but wear off. I wear the belt all day. It does help.
