I work at a childcare facility and I can say with confidence that Jackson is one of the smartest 1 year olds I've ever seen. It's all that healthy interaction with his parents. So good for kiddos.
I think it also helps that they’re with him ALL DAY because of quarantine and their jobs. They have the amazing privilege to work with him all day every day. It’s showing that they’re trying to teach him and work with him. It’s amazing!!
@@mfoth20 I had one of those early takers to. When ever we watch old home movies from his first birthday I’m still chocked at how well he spoke. Unfortunately he was also an early walker 8,5 mths and that was not fun at all. Luckily talking and walking early or later has nothing to do with intelligence or smartness, it’s just different developing cognitive, motor and spatial skills. Unfortunately for him I was doing my PhD in education when he was born so I was way to aware of everything in his development.
I think quarantine worked to his benefit. I do think Tim and Jen would have been very involved parents anyway, but he had their undivided attention for nearly his entire first year! Very good for attachment and development.
@@amycronkright6421 If only the United States were not abysmal when it comes to maternity leave, then more babies could experience the undivided attention they need.
It’s amazing to watch Jackson turn into this little person. Saying random words, walking around on his own, and he really knew what Tim was saying in the playroom. Him looking around for the balls was adorable. I can’t wait to watch him grow.
The fact that Jackson can understand the difference in colors ( at just 1yr) and pick up his green ball vs his white ball is amazing. His ability to follow directions at such a young age and strong comprehension skills is outstanding. You go buddy! 😊💙
Last year I turned 60 and my daughter and I stayed the week at Port Orleans French Quarter. I wanted to ride the Rockin Roller coaster on my 60th birthday. I am a 14 year heart transplant survivor and for many years I had a pacemaker and was unable to ride coasters. We had a great week!!!
I like how Tim is explaining how camera’s and film work for his younger viewers. Tim forgot to mention that most of the time, when we would get our developed pictures back, we would realize that some people (or all) had half of their heads chopped off in the picture. Just me? Did my parents not know how to take pictures?
Just had to share - I aced my pediatric developmental milestone exam today. I used Jackson as a point of reference for all of the infant milestones. Thank you friends!
That's Awesome! Our now 2 year old started playing basketball between 12-18 months. Made a fun video of him recently.... *FYI may need to update the # in the description :)
Doesn’t the phrase "just trying to figure it out" sum up life in general? Jackson's giggles are the cuteness we all need right now. Stay silly little guy!
We went to Sanibel Island for our Birthdays this year, we both loved the local restaurants, and tons of shell collecting. The Shell museum still has touch and feel sea animals.
I eventually could tell which growth phase my daughter was going through and stressed less and figured out how to work with it. She would go through eating phases then sleeping phases but never both at the same time. So sometimes she would eat really well but not sleep well then she would sleep a lot but not eat a lot. It's a natural way of growing so don't stress too much or be too hard on yourselves. You're doing great. 😊
As someone who is studying speech pathology and learning about child development, I love being able to see Jackson develop and grow through your videos!
A suggestion for your push up goals....in January you do one for each day like you are now. Come February you do sets. For example, on Feb. 1st you do 2 sets of one. Then on the 2nd 2 sets of 2 and so on. Then in march you do 3 sets
Y’all should stay at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort in SC for Tim’s Birthday!! It’s such a nice place plus the Disney feels! Grown up going there since I was little! :)
I too think Jackson looks like a combination of both. Definitely has Jen's coloring, hair and eyes. No matter, he is the most beautiful little boy and so smart! Birthday at the Beach Club, for sure.
I not only still have my tree up, I still have all my santas on my mantle...I feel as if I still need a little Christmas in my life! Two ideas for your birthday trip Tim.....Margaritaville resort or the Riviera.
After second watching, I just realized you made an Arrested Development joke! "Are you going to shower with your clothes on?" "There are dozens of us!" NEVER NUDES!
For my husband’s 40th birthday in June, we drove from Orlando to Key West when they just opened back up. We had an amazing time. We love the keys, especially the drive! We went back before Christmas!
Today is the 19th anniversary of my 25th birthday and it’s kind of a coincidence that you mentioned the Homeless Coalition of CFL as your charity of the week. Little known fact, back in 2011, my husband, kids, and I were homeless for 8 months in Central Florida. It’s was very rough and many days and nights scary. So glad that mess is in our past. Please help them if you can. Usually what keeps most people homeless is the necessary deposits that you need to have when you move into a new place. Sometimes it’s a simple hurdle that keeps people homeless. So happy to hear that your sister finally got to meet her nephew. Was hoping that she would be seen in the vlog to put to rest whether the lady from the Marvel skits James Corden put out was your sister. She looks so much like you, especially when laughing, and I think she sounds a bit like you too. Those pictures you showed were adorable! Can’t wait to see Tim chuck that prosperity pig in a lake. When the last penny drops, take the 3 penny’s and drop them in iasw next time you go to MK or Disneyland. Tim for your birthday how about Disney’s Vero Beach Resort?
I dont mean to be nosy but can I ask you something. My biggest fear is being homeless (I am a single mom). What makes the homeless shelters scary? How were you able to get out of that situation? If this is to personal you don't have to answer. Just worries me a lot. God bless you all and I am glad you were able to have a better life.
Birthday Stay Suggestions: - Be fancy and stay at the Grand Floridian - Be trendy and stay at the new Gran Destino Tower - Be unique and stay somewhere you’ve never been before.
Totally get it why you did not film your sisters visit. Still would’ve been such fun to have seen the two of you interact. Especially since she had never seen Jackson before. So funny we want to be part of every facet of your life 🤣🤣👍
Thanks for all you guys do and your messages That is why I love my job Lunch Lady rocks serving kids even out off school we go as close to their door steps to feed them they are our future 🥰
Love watching you guys and hearing baby giggles! It’s so uplifting! Thank you so much for sharing! It’s nice to watch something good with all the bad stuff going on.
Wow, Jackson is SOO smart !! I mean I am 24 with no concept of how old babies should learn things but that fact that he knows the colors of the balls really blew my mind!! Genius Baby!
It really is so crazy seeing them grow!! I asked my almost 3 yr old Nephew to give me a hug and he goes “you’re a pain in the ass “ ....😩😩 lord help me. Enjoying it tho 🤣💕
Amazing you played a clip from Wilderness Lodge while “The Holly & the Ivy” was playing - hearing that classic song play in the WL lobby was one of my favorite moments of this holiday season. Take me back! 🎄❤️👏
I would go to wilderness lodge and spend part of the day at animal kingdom and then go to dinner at a favorite restaurant. Jackson is so smart and he’s walking really well he’s the cutest!! You two are doing an amazing job as parents! Love your videos!! Thank you Tim, Jenn and Jackson for all you do 💙
Ah I have no clue on the COVID numbers, I’m not in Florida. I wouldn’t be going the the parks either to be honest so just suggesting areas I would like to see on a vlog 😉
Love this one 💕 not only is Jackson so cute, but watching you guys watch him as he does new things is sweetest. My family loves watching you guys, it is part of our time together almost every night
FL Keys again...Depending on where you go, the drive there could be phenomenal. You could go on a short boat ride ..love the natural beauty there.......
Hi! Watching from Newfoundland, Canada! My girls, who are 10 & 7, and I absolutely love watching your vlogs! We cannot wait to cuddle up at the end of the day to see what you all have been up to! Love it! Be safe!
Tim, in regards to what people want to do for their Birthdays this year... mine is this Friday and I live in Kansas so it is usually a wee bit chilly out. But I would love to go spend the day with my friends and hubby in Branson or Eureka Springs. Jackson laugh is so cute !!!
I have one of the little wood Christmas trees you showed from your Halloween box. I got it in Rothenburg, Germany and I also got one for my grandma so it’s special to put up because I know she’s putting hers up. It’s also the kids favorite and it’s suffered a little bit from their handling but it’s worth it!
You asked about towels- maybe on this episode or another, but we love the Costco Charisma towels. They are fluffy, but they dry very well. They have solids but also sometimes some prints! We have had many of these towels, they are affordable and come in lots of sizes!
Jackson is a cutie🙂. He's progressing so fast. He understands colors and what things are. That laugh is adorable. And yes it's time to take the tree down😀. 1 more penny to go and it's time for the lake for the prosperity pig.🐷🍋
My birthday is in April and we’re staying at the Riviera while my parents watch our daughter. So kid free birthday at Disney and hopefully get the restaurant there is perfect!
Today is my birthday and I'm usually on a beach somewhere but because of Covid and taking care of my 90 yr old Dad I'm staying 3 blocks away from him at a hotel so I have some time to sleep and then check in on my Dad several times. Anywhere by a beach is fun for your birthday Tim as long as it is with your wonderful family!
If you guys get a plastic laundry basket, put it in the tub - it lets water in, and the baby will sit up and you don’t have to worry about him slipping into the water! Keeps the bath toys close by too!
For my birthday (on my birthday) I'd love to drive to Memphis and see Graceland again. We were there in 2018 and last October also. If ya haven't guessed I'm a big Elvis Presley fan. I love watching Jackson toddle around. He is so smart and truly adorable.
I'm dying to go to Disneyworld after going to Disneyland my whole life, and hoping we can so for my birthday in August! So if it was my birthday, I would stay at either the Coronado Springs Tower, the Riveria in one of their suites, and in a dream world, the 4 seasons! I would also do a character breakfast on my bday morning before going to the Magic Kingdom, probably at Topolinos.
I think Jackson is starting to look like Tim in the top part of his face. For your birthday rent an RV at Fort Wilderness and do a full on BBQ/outdoorsy evening followed by smores later on :)

For your birthday Tim my idea would be Grand Floridian resort as I love Mary poppins xx
A beach birthday weekend would be fun!
My Christmas trees are down, but left out one and put mitten and snowflake ornaments on it. It’s my January tree!
The fact that Tim had to explain how we took pictures and developed film back in the day made me feel so, so old🙈
